Due to their embrace of Satan’s interpretation of Romans 6:23 and other church “truths” (see the Introduction to this website), billions of parishioners “know” that, due to God’s unlimited grace, they are saved, born again and rapture-ready. They “know” that, due to Adam’s sin transferal miracle, they are programmed to sin with no possibility of being deprogrammed in this life. The wages of their sin is not death as God said (Rom. 6:23), but rather eternal life as Satan said (Gen. 3:3,4). For this reason they call themselves “Sinners Saved By Grace” (SSBG). SSBG “know” that Jesus gave His life so that they can sin with impunity. All requires of them is to believe in Him. This ministry is focused on these deceived souls whom Satan has lured into his Catholic/Protestant religious web. Globally, only a few thousand ex-church members have seen God’s spiritual light and have escaped from the devil’s religious darkness. Therefore I have much work to do. Like my predecessors in the early church, I find myself at war with both a Satanically-controlled cadre of false prophets and billions of their followers who believe what they say and write. Though my victories are extremely few, I love the fight. Jesus warned in Matthew 7:13,14 that few would come to His light. As usual, He was right.
Incredibly, SSBG believe themselves to be the only true Christians. Those few of us who believe and obey God are considered reprobates, unbelievers who simply cannot see the Big Picture. They believe this in spite of what God plainly says throughout His Holy Scriptures. How can this be? How can people who own at least one Bible, carry it to church with them on Sunday, claim to be students of it, then reject it, and do so with great zeal? NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF SATAN. Few men have been as zealous as I was during my pre-conversion years. I, like over two billion people today, was zealous, but zealously wrong. I was spiritually dead and did not know it. Having been one of the walking dead, I am eminently qualified to comment on that deadly, though curable spiritual condition. In the following postings we will discern God’s opinion of what His true saints WERE before conversion, then compare what His saints WERE to what SSBG claim they ARE after having been supposedly “saved.” We will depend heavily on what the Apostle Paul wrote leading up to Romans 6:23.
One will notice how much Paul stressed the spiritual condition of true saints BEFORE THEY WERE CONVERTED. They WERE sinners. SSBG proclaim loud and long that nothing changed following their “salvation experience,” that they are the same now (sinners) as they were before being “saved,” but with a divine twist which magically makes their sins go away. This in spite of the fact that by continuing to sin they “treasure up (accumulate) God’s wrath unto themselves” (Rom. 2:5). True repentance brings an end to that for which one repents. SSBG refuse to stop sinning but continue to repent. Like the sow that returns to her mire and the dog to its vomit (2 Pet. 2:22), once supposedly forgiven, they immediately return to their spiritual mire and vomit. Therefore, repentance is the key. Unfortunately for them, God knows the heart of serial repenters. He knows their repentance is faked. In His eyes they are “unrepentant” (Rom. 2:5). This deadly, globally-embraced deception comes from Romans 6:23, but has its roots in Romans 4:24,25–another passage that Satan has spun and the religious masses have embraced. In 2 Peter 3:16 the apostle writes about people “wresting” the words and statements of the apostles to make them mean what they want them to mean. In Romans 4:24,25 we find the word “imputed” as it applied to the patriarch Abraham. That word, along with other related words, have been misinterpreted so as to allow man to do as he wishes. As is always the case, Satan uses God’s Word to deceive those who seek Him. Thus, the Romans 6:23 interpretation deception.
Abraham believed (had faith in) what God said to him. His faith caused the Lord to graciously forgive (erase) his PAST sins, thereby imputing (granting) righteousness unto him (Gal. 3:6). Righteousness is the absence of sin. What Abraham did following his justification (the removal of his past sins) is what all of his spiritual “children” (Rom. 4:12) must do in order to remain one with God. What did Abraham do that kept him in God’s good graces? ABRAHAM OBEYED HIM. Abraham did not continue to sin because he “knew” that God (“THE WORD” Who came to earth as Jesus of Nazareth–Jn. 1:1-4,14) would forgive him. God’s imputation of righteousness throughout the remainder of his life had to be earned through “works” of righteousness–obedience to God. See The God of the Old Testament for proof that Jesus was the same One Who created the universe, the One Who was in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve, the One Who spoke with Moses, the One Who led the children of Israel out of Egypt, the One Who spoke to them from Mt. Sinai, the One Who wrote the Ten Commandments in stone. In His pre-human days He was called “the Word” (Jn. 1:1-4,14). John wrote, “His name is ‘the Word of God'” (Rev. 19:13). The Word (Jesus) said: “I am the Lord, I change not.” The Word is “the same yesterday, today and forever.” In the Word “there is no shadow of turning (change).” JESUS OF NAZARETH– THE GOD OF BOTH THE OLD TESTAMENT AND NEW TESTAMENTS–is the One with whom man has dealt since the Garden of Eden. Back to Abraham.
Following justification through God’s grace, Abraham obeyed God and thereby remained justified. This rule applies to New Testament saints as well: “For not the hearers of the Law are (now) just(ified) before God, but the doers of the Law shall be (remain) justified (in the future)” (Rom. 2:13). Like Abraham, converts must be doers of the Word/Law–they must stop sinning. This is born out in John 5:14 and 8:11 where Jesus commanded the sick man and the prostitute He had dealt with to: “SIN NO MORE.” Note that He did not tell them to try to cut back on their worst sins, He commanded them to STOP SINNING–PERIOD. In order to stop sinning we must know what sin is: “To transgress the Law is sin; for sin is the transgression of the Law” (1 Jn. 3:4). The Law is the entire Bible, which God condensed into the Ten Commandments. To break one of the commandments is to break all ten of them (Jam. 2:10), making one a worker of iniquity (Lawlessness). SSBG break commandment #4 every seventh day of the week (Saturday), thereby committing iniquity. Jesus said that on Judgment Day He would condemn those guilty of iniquity as they stand before Him telling Him how religious they had been (Mat. 7:21-23). L.J.
