To “translate” (to cross over) means to restate one language in another language so as to understand the first language. To “interpret” what is spoken or written in one’s native tongue means to explain the meaning of the message. Under normal circumstances this does not present a problem. However, when the interpreter does not know the correct meaning, or deliberately misinterprets the meaning, a problem arises. An honest misinterpretation is problematic enough, but when the wrong interpretation, whether intended or not, involves the eternity of billions of people, the problem takes on eternal life or death significance. Such is the case with man’s interpretation of a statement made by the Apostle Paul in his letter to the church at Rome. An eternity-affecting interpretation of the 23rd verse in chapter 6 occurred early on in the life of the New Testament Church. Because what people heard was what they wanted to hear, that lie has been the “truth” ever since. Because salvation seekers are anxious to read or hear anything that confirms this universally-embraced “truth,” few have cared enough about the truth to search out God’s Words on the subject. Few have obeyed God’s commands to “study (about Rom. 6:23) to show yourself approved by God” (2 Tim. 2:15), to “prove all things (about Rom. 6:23)” relative to the Scriptures (1 Thes. 5:21), to “test the spirits” of church leaders to see if they are speaking God’s truth about Romans 6:23 (1 Jn. 4:1), to believe Him Who said that “ALL Scripture (including Rom. 6:23) is given by inspiration of God and profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction and training in righteousness” so as to “make one wise UNTO salvation” (2 Tim. 3:13-17). The promise of salvation is the “what” (headline). The rest of the Bible is the “how” (fine print). Unless one learns the truth about Romans 6:23, believes it and obeys it (the “how”) one cannot inherit eternal life (the “what”).
In this life one is under the power, control and direction of either God or Satan. Contrary to popular opinion, there is no such thing as “self-control/direction.” The apostles preached this message repeatedly. This was especially true of Paul who, being the worst of the lot in his pre-conversion life, knew what he was talking about. He writes often and extensively about this truth in his epistles. Romans 6 contains a wealth of information about spiritual leading and following. Writing under the power of God’s Holy Spirit, Paul makes it abundantly clear that man is not his own, that he is owned and operated by a greater power–either the God of the universe or the god of this world (2 Cor. 4:4). Man’s only choice in the matter involves which master he will obey/serve. Chapter 6 brings this message better than any other chapter in the Bible. Please study this most important chapter carefully for it proves that the statements written in this paragraph, though hard to accept, are God’s Truth. This ministry was ordained by God for one purpose–to tell people what they do not want to hear–God’s Word (Truth–Jn. 17:17). Romans 6 puts the responsibility for man’s spiritual life exactly where it belongs–on man himself. This is the “strong meat” Paul refers to in Hebrews 5:12,14.
Adolf Hitler was a master psychologist. He learned early on that if a person or a nation is told the same lie often enough, that lie becomes “truth.” In a few short years he convinced an entire nation of rational people that a tiny portion of their population–the Jews–were the sole cause of the nation’s defeat in WWI, and that they were the sole cause of their post-war problems. As a result, that nation murdered some six million Jews, many of them women and children. Anyone who does not understand that Hitler, his henchmen, and later the entire nation was under the control of Satan does not understand how things work in this life. Look around, Americans. The U.S.A. is also owned and operated by Satan. And we are not alone. As the Scriptures say, Satan is the god of this world (2 Cor. 4:4), a world that he has totally deceived (Rev. 12:9).
In the same way that Satan gained control over Adam and Eve by hiding God’s Truth and illuminating his (Satan’s) truth, he has gained control over professing Christianity. By deceiving parishioners into believing that having embraced God’s “headlines” that they have all the information they need, he has kept them in his religious camp for over 1900 years. My job is to shed God’s light on the devil’s lies and expose them for the world to see. Satan is the master interpreter. As stated earlier, we all serve a master. Those who believe Satan’s interpretations of God’s Word serve him (Satan), regardless of how religious one might be. I know of what I speak, for I was once not only one of his servants, but a minister in his Catholic/Protestant Church system.
Under the direction of Satan, Scriptural interpretation has caused masses of salvation seekers to assume that what they have heard from their church leaders is God’s Truth. In the vast majority of cases, it was not. See the Introduction to this website for some examples of God’s supposed “truths” that the Scriptures prove to be Satan’s lies. These beliefs and customs are in reality “doctrines of devils” preached by the “angel of light’s” false prophets who present themselves as “ministers of righteousness” (1 Tim. 4:1/ 1 Cor. 11:13-15). These preachers, many of whom are world-renowned uber-preachers, operate under the direction and power of Satan’s “seducing spirits” (1 Tim. 4:1). I have dealt with these angelic spirits. They are real; they are powerful; they are everywhere. “We fight not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high (heavenly) places (Eph. 6:12). Satan–“the prince of the powers of the air (Eph. 2:2)–leads them. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF SATAN AND HIS ANGELS (SPIRITS). His convincing the entire church to reject God’s Word as written and to interpret it is proof of his power.
In Matthew 24 and 25 Jesus speaks about what will take place upon His return. Having gathered people from all nations together, He will separate them into two groups: sheep and goats. His sheep will have obeyed His command to study “All Scripture” which “is given by inspiration of God” and will have studied both the “headlines” which tell us “what,” and the “fine print” which tells us “how.” Without the “how” the “what” is meaningless. Contrary to the activities of the sheep, the goats will have read the headlines and stopped, “knowing” that they know all they need to know. As a result they will not have learned how to bring the headline to fruition. They will have spent their lives “ever learning but never coming to the knowledge of the Truth” (2 Tim. 3:7). Ironically, both sheep and goats will have spent their spiritual lives “knowing” that they were right with God, and that they would later join Him in paradise. However, Jesus warned that death awaited the goats. We select life OR death when we choose either God or Satan to obey and serve. Tragically, Satan has deceived billions of people into believing that they can choose death AND receive life. Adam and Eve made that same mistake. L.J.
