According to Webster’s Concise Dictionary of the English Language, Encyclopedic Edition, “liberal” has several possible applications.  The definition that applies most directly to this series is: “Not restricted to the literal meaning” (of a statement, rule, law, etc.).  Obviously, this allows for many different interpretations or meanings of a written or spoken statement, rule, law, etc.  Spiritual liberals reserve the right to interpret a Biblical statement from a personal point of view that is based on a pre-conceived idea, personal experience, wishful thinking, etc.

The word “conservative” also has several applications.  The meaning that best speaks to this series is: “Of, or belonging to the beginning” (of a statement, rule, law, etc.).  Alternate words are “constructionist” and “originalist.”  Conservatives believe that Bible Truth is Truth because God says it is Truth and cannot be viewed any other way.  Spiritual liberals do not believe in objective morality.  They believe that right and wrong are subjective–subject to one’s personal view.   Spiritual conservatives believe that right and wrong because God has declared them to be right and wrong.  Matters of the spiritual realm do not operate in a vacuum–they have a social component.

History reveals that “As goes the spiritual, so goes the societal.”  In so-called Christian nations as goes the church, so goes the nation.  This spiritual/social connection is nowhere more obvious than in the United States which will be the focus of this series because, whether for good or bad, she sets both the spiritual and the social standard for the rest of her religious counterparts.  For several generations her tendency has not only been toward evil, but has demonstrated a tendency for ever more and ever worse evil.  For the past several years I have been chronicling this American tendency as both church and state have picked up speed in their down-hill sprint toward sin and degradation, not only in their personal lives but also in the areas of government and law.   Since over 70% of American adults claim some affiliation to Christianity, the church has the power to elect those who make the nation’s laws.  History has revealed America’s fall from grace in the form of her laws.  From the legalized slaughter of the unborn to the exaltation of sexual perversion, from rejection of law and order to the destruction of her cities, from a singular God-centered nation to a self-centered collection of mini-gods, this once-great light to the world is rapidly evolving into a darkness-dwelling disaster.  God has declared in His Holy Bible that He will allow her and those nations that follow her to rot internally until the time He has appointed for personal, national and global punishment to descend on the world.  This time is Biblically known as the Great Tribulation.  In the meantime this nation which claims to be “Under God” Whom she claims to “Trust” will continue to decay from within due to her Satan-enticed craving for liberalism.  As was the case in ancient Israel, the typical American “does what is right in his own eyes.”  This includes “the church” which brought this Satanic attitude to fore in the first place.

Over the past several generations the people of the United States have evolved spiritually and socially from conservative to liberal.  As I have stated before, the society follows lock-step behind the church.  History has shown that, relative to the United States, church and state evolutions have taken place in the same direction and at the same speed.  And because the rest of the so-called Christian World follows her example, her spiritual and social downfall has produced a domino effect as nation after nation has come under the control of Satan and his human instruments of mass destruction known as liberals.  As man’s attitude toward all things spiritual has deteriorated, so has his view of social life.  The attitudinal change in the “man on the street” concerning God, the Bible and morality has been striking, not only in the degree to which man has replaced God as the arbiter of right and wrong, but also in the speed with which the change in gods has taken place.  The negative, detrimental change in the nation’s people-to-God relationships is reflected in her person-to-person relationships.  Man not only hates God, he hates his fellow man with the same zeal.

Having grown up in the 1940’s and 50’s I was surrounded by people who, though very religious, knew very little about the Bible beyond John 3:16.  I know because I was one of them.   Nothing has changed on personal and national level.  Any exception to this truth is rare and always involves a single individual.  I thank God every day that I am the product of such a change.  When the right time came God called me, spiritually separated (sanctified) me unto Himself, immersed me in His Word and taught me His eternal Truths.  Those Truths form the foundation of this ministry.  As I teach and preach those Biblical Truths to the Institutional Church I find them being eclipsed by Satan-inspired “truths” which she presents to the world as “the word of God.”  These “truths” form the foundation upon which counterfeit Christianity is built.  The Introduction to this website lists a number of such “truths.”  The irony is that, when Bible professing church people hear God’s Words coming directly from their Bibles, they summarily reject them.  Being ignorant of the Scriptures, they do not understand that by rejecting Biblical Words they are rejecting the One Who spoke them into the hearts of His prophets and apostles who “spoke (those Words) as they were moved by the Holy Spirit” (2 Pet. 1:21).  Being a student of history and an observer of human behavior, I am no longer shocked when self-proclaimed pillars of the church respond to hearing or reading God’s Truth with either doubt, rejection or total unbelief.  This in spite of Jesus saying in Luke 10:16 that when one rejects His Words one “DESPISES” both Father and Son.

I remember a time when even the worst among us showed respect toward the Lord and His Word.  Not so today.  I am finding that pastors, evangelists and missionaries without hesitation reject any passage of Scripture that does not agree with their version of the gospel.  This phenomenon is the result of a generations-long, world-wide process which I call “religious evolution.”  And as history has proven, as religion evolves, nations evolve.

History reveals that over the last 100 years of so each new generation within so-called “Christian nations” has been more liberal and self-centered, less conservative and God-centered than the previous generation.  Though I have witnessed the Satan-inspired evolution that has been taking place over the past three generations, I must admit that I am taken aback by the “Christian walk” that is popular in today’s world.  A second shock comes when I see no one standing up for God and His Word.  Preachers of every stripe will pontificate endlessly about their church’s perverted version of God’s gospel.  But very few have the spiritual spine to proclaim God’s Truth.  God is calling out to the Laodicean era church during this end time (Rev. 3:14-20).  His call is being ignored.  My ministry is solely to those within the end-time, Satan-controlled church as she rushes from the light that is God’s Truth and toward the darkness of Catholicism/Protestantism.  Though I am told that many are hearing God’s Words coming from me, I wonder how many are actually listening to them.  If Jesus told us the Truth, the answer is “few” (Mat. 7:13,14).  Though this is at times discouraging, the Lord assures me that there are a few true God seekers who have ears to hear and eyes to see.  I thank God for them.  You can watch my YouTube presentations at proveallthingsofgod.  The symbol for my site is a circle with my picture inside it.  L.J.
