Having long ago proved by God’s Word that Christmas is an abomination to Him, I will not do so again at this time. Since coming to know His Truth concerning the heathen holiday, I tend to get somewhat depressed as the “Yule Tide Season” grows near and I see people running here and there in their quest to serve the devil. I recently read something that reveals this nation’s downward spiritual spiral and shows just how far she has drifted away from God. A man was arrested for “disturbing the peace” in a north Texas church. The truth of the matter is that he was telling the children that Santa Claus is not real, which upset their parents. This is like parents having a man arrested for warning their children not to play in an area because there are copperheads in the grass. Instead of searching the area to learn the truth, the parents send their children there to play.
As one who has spent the better part of two decades warning those in Institutional Christianity about celebrating Christmas, I understand the man’s motives. I’m sure that in his mind being arrested is a small price to pay for planting a seed of God’s Truth in the minds of children. Hopefully, like the “noble” Bereans of the Apostle Paul’s day, some of those children will one day “search the Scriptures” to see if what he was telling them was true. I was told that my Christmas message was believed by two pastors of a local church. They reportedly cried when they learned God’s Truth about the pagan celebration. But to my knowledge they did not stop celebrating Christmas. Winston Churchill said it as only he could: “Once in a while a man will stumble over the truth. Then he will arise from the ground, brush himself off, then continue on his way.” The people of that church “stumbled over” the Lord’s Truth. But as Churchill predicted, they rose to their religious feet, brushed the Truth aside, then continued on their merry Christmas way. As I watch my family and friends prepare to honor Satan I weep inside, knowing what they are about to experience. I also weep for my country, knowing the hell in which she is about to find herself. Hopefully they will, one and all, see God’s light during the coming Tribulation and turn to Him. Doing so will literally cost them their heads (Rev. 20:4). Hopefully they will “count the cost,” pay it, and rise at the second resurrection so that I can teach them the ways of the Lord. See The Resurrections and The Kingdom of God.
Of late, having seen the hellward direction this most blessed of nations has chosen to take, I find it difficult to read in God’s Word the blessings He promised to bestow on those who would obey Him, then watch my God-rejecting country rot from within. The fact of this nation’s allegiance to Satan becomes ever more evident as she pursues his agenda with ever increasing zeal. My country, which the Lord established to be the light to the world, has instead embraced darkness and sends it out into the world. And to make matters worse, the church, which was supposed to bear God’s light (His Word), has instead chosen to lead the world into the devil’s darkness. AS GOES A NATION SPIRITUALLY, SO GOES THAT NATION. “As a man thinks in his heart (mind), so he is” (Prov. 23:7). A nation is comprised of people. As the people of a nation think, so that nation is. Let us see what this nation thinks about in order to determine what she is.
Watch television; stare into modern man’s hand-held life source; watch a movie; read a newspaper; listen to the radio; check out a magazine rack; read a book; listen to the conversations of people around you. What you will hear and see is what people “think in their hearts.” As the Proverbist wrote under the power of God’s Holy Spirit, a person becomes what he/she thinks about. What one thinks about is then expressed in word and action. We tend to think about what we see and hear. What bombards the human mind is what television, radio, newspaper, magazine, internet, movie and book producers place in front of us. Millions of dollars are spent on psychological research designed to determine how best to influence the human mind. With this information in hand, the social media outlets mentioned above present their goods to the public in order to entice them to buy what the advertiser is selling. Satan is the world’s premier advertiser. He sells the world’s people anything that will take their minds off the way and will of God. His success is seen in the popularity of such heathen celebrations as Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Valentines Day and the Sunday Sabbath.
My heart is with the man who was arrested for telling God’s Truth. However, I do not believe in trying to force God’s will and Word on people. One will notice that one has to deliberately search for my website and YouTube site in order to hear or read what I have to say. We are told in the Scriptures that the coming Messiah “will not strive, nor cry; neither will any man hear His voice in the streets” (Mat. 12:19). Jesus and His ministers did not and do not force people to hear His Truth. Instead we simply make it available to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear It. Unfortunately, only a “few” will “strive” to hear and read it (Mat. 7:13,14). The vast majority have their minds on the glitter and glow that surrounds them, the things and stuff for which they are continuously striving to possess. This is the glory of the world that Satan offered Jesus during His great temptation. We must, as did Jesus, ignore its allure and reject it. Nowhere is the quest for more, bigger, brighter, etc. more true than in the nation which claims to be under God and to trust in Him. I would gladly walk across this land, or any land to share God’s Truth with the masses. But it would be wasted effort. The sights and sounds of heathenism would drown out God’s Truth. Soon there will be no Truth to drown out. God proclaims that there will come a time when He will send a famine of the Word throughout the land. Man will run to and fro in search of His Truth, but to no avail. The voice of the Lord will neither be spoken nor read (Amos 8:11,12). Why? Because He will have taken His church to “her place” of safety where they will quietly watch the world explode in agony and terror–horror such as has never before been seen on earth (Mat. 24:21). Initially the churches will fill to overflowing as people desperately seek the God they have rejected throughout their lives. But He is not in those churches now, and will He be there then. The Words of the prophet still ring true today: “Seek the Lord while He may be found” (Isa. 55:6). L.J.
