Pardon The Interruption

I sat down at the computer earlier this morning to continue with the series of postings I have been presenting. However, the Lord would not allow me to write. Realizing this, I shut everything down and went into the living room to watch a news program. It was during that program that I learned why God had not allowed me to write earlier. He had a different message for this morning. The topic being discussed on the program concerned a young high school girl who had gotten pregnant. With all-knowing, false-prophet aplomb the moderator voiced the opinion of over two billion other church people when he said, “The message of Christianity is forgiveness.” NO IT IS NOT. THE MESSAGE OF CHRISTIANITY IS “DO NOT SIN.” Satan has conditioned church people to accept sin as a natural part of the so-called Christian life. The key, according to Catholics and Protestants, is that after we commit our inevitable, Adam induced sin, we must be sure to repent. Having done that, we are then free to commit our next inevitable sin. And Satan smiles.

I was driving one morning with the radio on–a rare occurrence–when I heard a preacher say about some sinning church people, “They need to repent.” NO. They need to stop sinning. Impossible, I am told. Tell that to the One who hung on a tree in order to empower us to “…. overcome (sin) even as I overcame (sin),” which, incidentally, He (Jesus) said was necessary in order to join Him in the Kingdom of God. See Revelation 3:21. He also said through the Apostle John that if we claim to be His people we must “walk even as He walked” (1 John 2:6) and to be pure “as He is pure” (1 Jn. 3:3). No amount of repentance will not gain us entrance into God’s kingdom. See The Message of the Cross. L.J.
