The Counterfeit Church lives in a gray world where Biblical hot and cold, good and evil, right and wrong coexist with equal acceptability, credibility and power. She takes what she believes of God’s Word (hot, good,right) and combines it with what she believes of Satan’s word (cold, evil, wrong), calls it “truth” and acts on it, believing that she is walking hand-in-hand with the Lord. Incredibly, what He calls “vomit” (Rev. 3:16) the Truth-rejecting church laps up like the proverbial dog; what He calls “mire” she wallows in like the proverbial sow (2 Pet. 2:22).

What the Counterfeit Church does not realize is that every human being lives in a continuous overcoming mode. We spend our lives overcoming either Satan or God. When we believe and obey God we are overcoming Satan–we are wearing the “whole armor of God” (Eph. 6:11) by which we are able to deflect (overcome) Satan’s “fiery darts” (temptations) while standing in defiance of him. It is only by obeying God’s Ten Commandment La–which defines both sin and righteousness (1 Jn. 3:4)–that we overcome the enemy’s constant barrage of temptations. He knows that if we break God’s Law (commit iniquity-“Lawlessness”) we become separated from God (Isa. 59:2), resulting in death (Rom. 6:23) unless we return to obedience to Him and remain “in Him,” thereby qualifying for salvation. Repentance alone is not enough. Having returned to Him, we must be “doers of the Word and not hearers only” (Jam. 1:22) in order to become and remain justified, thereby qualifying for eternal life. And what is the Word we must be “doers of” in order to qualify? “It is not the hearers of THE LAW who are just(tified) before God, but the DOERS OF THE LAW SHALL BE (REMAIN) JUSTIFIED (until the end) (Rom. 2:13). To be a doer of the Law one must obey the Giver of the Law– Jesus Christ, by Whose Words (Laws, Commandments) we will all be judged (Jn. 12:44-50). In verses 47-50 Jesus said: “… if anyone hears My Words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who REJECTS ME  and DOES NOT RECEIVE (BELIEVE AND OBEY) MY WORDS has that which judges him–THE WORD THAT I HAVE SPOKEN WILL JUDGE HIM IN THE LAST DAY. For I have not spoken on My own authority, but THE FATHER WHO SENT ME GAVE ME A COMMAND–WHAT I SHOULD SAY AND WHAT I SHOULD SPEAK. AND I KNOW THAT HIS COMMAND (WORD) IS EVERLASTING LIFE. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.” Notice that God equates HIS WORD WITH SALVATION–they are inseparable; one must obey His Word as written in order to inherit eternal life. Any deviation from His Word disqualifies one for life in His kingdom. The church says, “Not so; obedience (when it’s convenient) to our version of His Word (church doctrine) will propel us into heaven.” Someone is wrong. The church points the finger at God. God condemns her.

To overcome Satan we must believe what God, using His Holy Spirit, spoke through His prophets, Jesus, His apostles and speaks through His ministers today. Note in the above passage that there is no provision for altering, deleting or adding to His Word which the Counterfeit Church does with reckless abandon. Satan has masterfully done all three through his false prophets and their followers. Today the devil’s gospel is spread throughout the world under such headings as “the Word of the Lord,” “the gospel” and “the truth.” God instituted this website to expose this heresy to a religious world that walks in the darkness of Satan’s perverted gospel (Gal. 1:6-8) while proclaiming that she is God’s handmaiden.

Those who are obeying God’s Word/Law as written (are overcoming Satan) are judging themselves by His Word (1 Cor. 11:31) and are qualifying for future salvation. Those who are not obeying God’s Word/ Law (are overcoming Him) will be judged later and will be found unqualified for eternal life.  To be continued. L.J.
