Philosopher Rene`Descartes, writing about social and political issues of his day, noted that in a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act. This truth also applies to things of the spirit, which means that I am a bonified revolutionary.

This world has been living under a cloud of  spiritual deceit for over 1900 years. The originator of this system of lies is the same one who deceived Adam and Eve in Eden–Satan, the enemy of God. Since shortly after the founding of God’s church in 31 A.D., the instrument the devil has used to deceive religious man is the Counterfeit Church, which came into being in 33 A.D. in Rome with the founding of Catholicism, which means “universal.” This abomination was designed by Satan to give to every person what he/she wants in the religious realm. This Mother Whore (Mystery, Babylon) would later give birth to the so-called “Protestant Revolution” which in turn produced hundreds of harlot Daughters (denominations) whose spiritual umbilical’s which have kept them connected to their religious mother. Spiritually, Catholicism and Protestantism have remained a singular religious entity in that they share many foundational beliefs and practices. The differences between them are cosmetic in nature. Though they still maintain a façade of separation, they are in practice one in the same. One day they will officially rejoin and become a world-ruling religious system that, with the power of a one-world government behind them, will exercise life and death control over all people, with one exception–God’s church whom He will have taken to a place of safety.

This soon-coming universal religion is written about in Revelation 17:1-5 where she is pictured as a woman riding (controlling) a beast (world-government). This religious system has been at work for many centuries. She has encompassed most of the earth through her missionary work whose “commission from God” is to spread her numerous gospel “truths” among the earth’s people. Because she has concocted literally hundreds of different “gospels” she is able to present a “you want it, you got it” collage of beliefs, faiths, customs and doctrines designed by Satan to satisfy the religious desires of all god seekers world-wide. This system includes those religions that do not recognize the Biblical God. In the final analysis, the woman on the beast will include all religions known to mankind, with that one exception.

The devil’s original human purveyor of false religion–Simon Magus–established the Catholic (Universal) Church in 33 A.D. in order to satisfy the religious needs of all mankind. With the Protestants’ departure from the mother church he was forced to adjust his methodology. To keep the protesters from venturing too far from their mother, he deceived them into retaining many of her beliefs and customs. Today we are witnessing the return of the Protestants to the Mother Church. This phenomenon, along with the coming together of all religions (“We all serve the same god; we just do it differently”), the “universal” character of the church will eventually mold her into a one-world system, called the “Second Beast” (Rev. 17) ruled by the False Prophet written about in Revelation 16:13/ 19:20/ 20:10. This man, whom I believe will be the reigning Catholic Pope, will rule the church (woman) who sits on (controls) “many waters” (17:1). The word “waters” is  used symbolically for nations, which is the case in Revelation 17:1. As verse 5 states, the woman– “great whore” (vs 1)–is the mother of  “harlots” (Protestant churches) and “abominations (beliefs and practices) of the earth” (vs 5). This two-headed, multi-bodied religious monster is known today as “the church.” The various cults that make up this abomination all have one thing in common–their attitude toward “works” relative to salvation.

According to the church, “works” is a blasphemous word that is rejected by the Biblical God. Sunday after Sunday her parishioners are told that the only requirement for salvation is to believe in Jesus Christ. Works, they are told, will cause them to “fall from grace.” New converts are told that the only thing they need to do following their “salvation experience” is to join the “church of your choice” and (more or less) adhere to that organization’s version of the gospel.
