The marks of heathenism are readily seen if one views Institutional Christianity through the eyes of the Lord. If a Catholic or Protestant decides to search for God’s Truth by immersing himself in His Word the Truth-seeker will soon find that what he is hearing from pulpit and podium bears little, if any, resemblance to what he is finding in the Scriptures. The ear-scratching, ego-assuring soundbytes and catch phrases so popular with the Counterfeit Church are designed by each organization’s doctrinal committee to do two things: fill the pews and the coffers. In this regard they are supremely successful. Any Scriptural Truth that condemns the committee’s proclamations is summarily discarded along with the one who brought God’s Truth into play. Church doctrinal committees formulate church “truths” according to the particular theology with which they themselves were indoctrinated by past committees in their particular denomination. Catholicism is equally tied to the past in terms of church doctrines, customs, etc. Both Catholicism and Protestantism are abominations to God in that they reject His Word as the one and only source of spiritual Truth. In so doing they reject both Father and Son as plainly stated in John 12:44-50. Here Jesus Himself proclaimed that to believe in Him was to believe in the Father Who sent Him, which means that the believer believes the Holy Scriptures. Obviously, the opposite is also true–to reject Him (reject His Words-vs. 48-50) is to reject His Father Who gave Him those Words and sent Him to deliver them to the world. In verse 50 He assures us that God’s Words (Genesis to Revelation) are ETERNAL.

When determining right and wrong church fathers do exactly as did their religious ancestors as recorded in the 28th chapter of Acts–they consult, debate and conclude among themselves while totally ignoring the Lord’s Words. For this reason He warns them along with their constituents: “You hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, ‘This people draw near to Me with their mouth and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. In vain do they worship Me, teaching for (My) doctrines the commandments of men'” (Mat. 15:7-9). Note that they do indeed WORSHIP HIM, but their worship (religiosity) is meaningless. In Mark 7:9 He tells them that they reject His commandments in order to keep their own traditions. The words “in order to” shows that their rejection of His Truth is deliberate. In Matthew 15:6 He noted that by rejecting His commandments they make them of none effect in their lives, which leaves them with only their own doctrinal “truths.” See the Introduction to this website for a partial list of modern church traditions, doctrines and customs that came directly from Babylonian/Chaldean mystery religions. Due to the source of those customs, etc. Jesus calls the Catholic/Protestant religion the “great whore” (Rev. 17:1). In verse 5 Catholicism is called “Mystery, Babylon” while the denominations of Protestantism are identified as her “harlot” daughters.

If Jesus Christ is to be believed, spiritual Truth is God’s Word found in the Holy Bible from Genesis to Revelation (Jn. 17:17); it is the only Word by which we can be saved (2 Tim. 3:15) and by which we all will be judged (Jn. 12:48). May we all believe that Word and obey it unto salvation. L.J.
