The Almighty promised those who believe and obey His written Word that they would know THE Truth and THE Truth would set them free from false religion’s false truths. If taken literally and with faith in the Speaker, this promise brings forth the ultimate question: “What is Truth?” To the true saint of God the answer is as sure as it is simple: “God’s Holy Bible.” However, man, whose goal has always been self- governance, has weighed God’s inspired Word and has not only found it lacking, but has found Satan’s word much more to his liking. Because of his preference for heathenism, religious man has turned God’s one way to heaven into a quagmire of many ways to heaven, none of which remotely resemble His way to His kingdom. As a result of religious man’s god complex, the answer to the “What is Truth?” question depends solely on whom one asks. Ask a representative of each of the hundreds of religious organizations that make up the Institutional Church (Catholicism/Protestantism) and one will get a variety of answers, each one designed to scratch the itching ears of that group’s constituents. How is this possible when they ALL claim to believe Jesus Christ–the same Jesus Christ Who declared that the only spiritual Truth in the universe is His Father’s Word–the Holy Bible (Jn. 17:17)? The Lord’s command that those who call themselves by His name “… will have no other gods before Me” falls on the deaf ears of those who claim to call themselves by His name. The result is religious anarchy in which each person “does what is right in his own eyes” which makes him a fool and leads to his destruction (Prov. 21:2;12:15;14:12).

Professing Christendom’s one-Truth-becomes-many-truths phenomenon is made possible by a process I call “Mutual Confirmation.” Mutual Confirmation involves consulting only those in one’s own religious organization when determining spiritual truth. Having dealt with Catholic and Protestant groups for a number of years, I have found that when the topic of right and wrong is discussed, God’s Holy Bible is rejected as a source of Truth. As one pastor recently admitted, his organization has “… stepped aside” from the Bible as its spiritual guide. If truth be known, all religious organizations calling themselves “the church” have rejected Biblical Truth in favor of Satan’s Babylonian myths. Many of professing Christendom’s beliefs, doctrines and customs came directly from the Chaldean/Babylonian mystery religions embraced by the Catholic Church during the fourth century. When the so-called Protestants left the Catholic Church in a so-called protest they took most of her theology with them. Today those theological principles are referred to as “Bible truths.” This in spite of the fact that the Bible they claim to embrace condemns their “truths.” And should someone reveal this fact to them, they reject the offending Scriptures as well as the one who revealed them. Relative to Bible Truth, the church accepts only those few Scriptures that supposedly confirm their supposed salvation. “Selective Truth” is a term that aptly describes this convoluted religious fiasco.
