A famous evangelist speaks to us almost daily now concerning Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, telling the Biblically ignorant the same thing he told them about Hurricane Katrina’s devastation of New Orleans some time back–that God does not pour out His wrath on people because “He loves you.” As we will see, God DOES pour out His wrath on mankind, including the Institutional Church, BECAUSE He loves us. The false prophet in question believes, like over 2 billion other church members that, if one has completed the prescribed ritual, said the right words, taken Jesus as his/her personal Savior one is saved, born again and rapture ready, and that the Lord has nothing but good things in store for him/her. NONE OF WHICH IS BIBLICALLY TRUE as I have repeatedly proclaimed and proven on this website and my YouTube site. I do so using the same Words this and thousands of other false prophets claim to believe and obey. The Lord and His Apostles constantly warned believers about false prophets who would come on the scene as “ministers of righteousness,” then deceive the God-seeking masses into embracing Satan’s religious system–Catholicism, Protestantism, Islam, Hinduism, etc. Of all the many “isms” in the world, Catholicism/Protestantism is by far the most dangerous to those in the so-called “Christian world” because those false church systems claim to believe and obey the Biblical God. And by keeping their people ignorant of what God actually said in His Word, the deception goes on generation after generation.
Now let us answer a very important question–“Is the Biblical God the Author of the ‘natural disasters’ that bring death and destruction upon mankind?” We will answer the question using the Truth (Jn. 17:17) produced by that God. Let us remember that the teachings of the Old Testament Prophets and the New Testament apostles form the foundation of the New Testament Church (Eph. 2:20), and that what was written by the Old Testament writers was written for the benefit of the New Testament Church so that they would not follow in the footsteps of their spiritual ancestors (1 Cor. 10:11). Bear in mind that the Holy Bible was written to, for and about Israel. Note to whom every book in the Bible was addressed. Each book (letter) in the Old Testament was addressed to “the Church in the (physical) wilderness” of the ancient world (ancient Israel–Acts 7:36). Each book (letter) in the New Testament was written to the people in “the church, the Israel of God” (Gal. 6:16) found in the spiritual wilderness of the modern world. Now let us examine a few of the Biblical passages that show that God indeed does express His anger toward mankind, including church people, because of their rebellion against Him.
Job 37:11-14/2 Chron. 6:26,27)– God uses rain to correct His people. Nahum 1:3,4– God uses the whirlwind (hurricanes and tornadoes), storms, earthquakes and drought to show His anger over the sins of those who claim Him as their Lord.
Now let us turn to two Biblical chapters that reveal what God does to and for those who obey and disobey Him respectively–Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28. In both chapters the Lord speaks to those who profess to be His people. In the first 13 verses of Leviticus and the first 14 verses of Deuteronomy 28 He promises to bless them (then and now) IF they will obey Him. In that all one hears about in the Institutional Church is what the people can get out of God I will not comment on those 27 verses. In the remainder of each chapter, which one does not hear about, the Lord tells us what awaits those who do not obey Him: terror, consumption (wasting diseases), burning ague (fever), crop and fruit failures, constant fear, heaven as iron and earth as brass, plagues, deadly animals, war, defeat, enslavement, starvation, desolate land, defeat, enslavement, global scattering, cities laid waste, being ruled by heathen, cursed when coming in and going out, failure in all efforts, withering winds, mildew, scabs, itching, madness, blindness, head to foot sores that cannot be healed, all the diseases of Egypt “AND EVERY SICKNESS THAT HAS NOT BEEN MENTIONED.” Note that the curses of God are caused by one reason only–sin.
Recall that God sent the Egyptian Pharaoh two dreams concerning healthy and withered wheat and cattle. Joseph interpreted the dreams, then told Pharaoh that, because God had sent him TWO DREAMS having the same meaning, the dreams WOULD CERTAINLY COME TO PASS. Because God tells us the same things TWO TIMES (in Leviticus and Deuteronomy) using the same words, what He said WILL CERTAINLY COME TO PASS. L.J.
