To New Agers, Jesus is not THE ONE, rather, He is the cheer leader of billions of ONES who comprise the entirety of mankind, the vast majority of whom do not know that they are gods like Him.  However, upon realizing their innate godness, they will operate on the same level as He does.  According to New Age theology, Christ’s job was to convince mankind of his godness so that he (man-god) could create a perfect world.  Man-god’s job is to pick up where Christ left off because Jesus deliberately left the job incomplete so that His fellow gods could bring mankind to the realization of his eternal goodness and godness.  Each person is a god, regardless of the religion he/she might embrace, if any.  Jesus has been made into a WORLD-CHRIST who works on behalf of all religions and nonreligions (and even anti-religions) everywhere because “WE ALL WORSHIP AND SERVE THE SAME GOD” which, as it turns out, is man himself.  And in that man is god, man can save himself, provided he learns who and what he is.  In reality, man saves himself from himself.  Jesus of Nazareth, we are told, is merely the leader of billions of equal saviors of mankind.  The final, all-encompassing act of New Age man’s “World View” program will be to save the world from itself by convincing each person that he/she is in fact god.

In order for all man-gods to realize what and who they are it is necessary for all to unite spiritually.  All of mankind being equal gods, this does not present a major problem.  Pope John Paul III made this point clear when he led a prayer meeting in which a number of different religions were represented, including animists, snake and fire worshipers, sun worshipers, etc. plus some atheists.  To this most spiritually fragmented group he proclaimed that peace on earth would come only when 1) we all unite spiritually and become one religion and 2) when we all come under the authority of the Roman Catholic Church.  In The Ingathering: the Rise of the End-time Church (key word: Ingathering) I point out that the world’s other religions are beginning to come around to John Paul’s way of thinking.  Following the prayer meeting he announced that much spiritual power had been generated during the pan-religious meeting attended by people of all religious and nonreligious stripes.  Those who know the true God agree that a great spiritual power was present and working during the prayer-fest.  That power was Satan.  According to New Agers in “the church,” god-level power lies not only in man.  Inanimate objects such as crosses, fish symbols, certain water, certain places, etc. also contain such power.

This is only one example of the devil’s power over mankind.  Pope John Paul III’s all-inclusive gathering is only one example of on-going attempts by such organizations as the World Council of Churches to create a one-world religion Jesus warned about in the Book of Revelation.  World Council efforts are coming to fruition in Satan’s last-ditch effort to destroy as many people as possible before Christ returns and brings Satan’s work to an end.  Until then he will continue to convince people that they are in reality god-beings who simply need to realize that they have been gods all along.

The apostasy that began with the establishment of Catholicism is rapidly coming to its apex–THE ONE-WORLD CHURCH IS FORMING NOW.  The institutions being used by Satan to hold onto the churched while drawing the unchurched to himself are the New Age Movement and institutional Christianity.  Though the two religious entities have been of the same spirit for over 1900 years, of late they have begun to unite publicly.  The union will soon become official and, along with the formerly unchurched, will become a dominating factor during the final few years of this age.  Revelation 17:1-5 pictures this end-time world church riding (controlling) a mighty beast (government) that will rule the world with an iron hand under the direction of its rider– the Great Whore–Mystery Babylon.  Today she goes by the names of Catholicism and Protestantism.  Soon she will force all people unto herself.  Those who refuse to bow to her will be martyred.  Only one tiny group will escape her clutches and be protected by the Almighty–God’s Very Elect remnant who have clung to Him all along.  These He will have taken to “her (the church’s) place of safety which I believe will be Petra, a mountain area in Jordan where a series of caves have been carved out of sandstone.  Here God promises to protect and provide for His true saints while the world around them goes up in flames.

The power utilized by the New Age/Institutional Church movement is SPIRITISM–the belief that we are all (humans, animals, serpents, insects, water, air, etc.) of one spirit, one entity and of one god-essence.   Sound farfetched?  Some churches allow parishioners to bring their pets to church because, “They have souls too.”  There is a move on in the United Nations to give “the earth” (and everything on, under and above it) the same rights as human beings.  Spiritists believe that when we all come to operate in the same godly mind-set there will be peace on earth and total harmony between men and between man and nature.  Satan knows that his time is short so he is working furiously to gather in the few that have not bowed to him while holding onto those billions who have.  Jesus said that “many” would follow him (Satan) through his wide gate and along his broad way that leads to destruction.  We are warned that his ministers would be so persuasive in the last days that even some of the Very Elect (God’s true church) will fall under his sway (Mat. 24:24).  This is why we must “beware,” “watch,” and “take care” lest we also be led astray.  NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF SATAN.  L.J.
