In the Book of Genesis, chapter 11 we find a story that every Sunday School child knows by heart.  It involves the entire population of the world that has gathered on the plains of Shinar, an area today occupied by the nation known as Iraq.  Initially God had created three races of people from Noah’s three sons.  Following the Great Flood He had separated them into three distinct racial groups, had given each a distinct language and had placed each in a specific area of the earth where He intended for them to remain.  But secular and Biblical history reveal that man has an insatiable desire to mix the different races God created and to amalgamate them into one racial group.  In chapter 11 we learn that rebellious man was well on his way to accomplishing his goal.

In 11:1 we find that the entire population of the earth had come together and had begun the process of racial amalgamation.  Over time they had developed a single language and were moving across the earth in search of a good place to build a city and start a civilization.  In verse two we learn that they had found what they were searching for–a plain on which to build their city–a place called Shinar.  They would also build a tower that would extent up into the heavens so that if God sent another flood on the earth they would survive by ascending to the top of the tower.  Under the leadership of Nimrod, a descendant of Noah’s son Ham, the project was in full production when God intervened by once again separating the races, sending the races in different directions and confusing their languages.  The term used to describe the aftermath of His language confusion act was “babel.”  The tower became known as the “Tower of Babel.”  Neither the city nor the tower were ever completed.  The area came to be known as Babylon.  Generations later a city would spring up in that area and become the birthplace of many of the world’s heathen religions, some of which continue to affect the lives of the world’s masses to this day.  The city and the nation that formed around that location came to be known as “Babylon.”  In modern times a man named Saddam Husain, believing himself to be the reincarnation of Nebuchadnezzer–the builder of Babylon–rebuilt the world-famous gardens for which the city was known.  His defeat and execution put an end to the dream of Babylonian domination over the region of the world known as the Middle East.  However, the spiritual aspect of Babylon has succeeded in gaining control over the entire “Christian world” by deceiving her into embracing many Babylonian beliefs and customs.  The Serpent of Eden is still in the domination business.  He has been supremely successful in his endeavors.  For proof, look in a phone book under CHURCHES–and count.

Which brings us to the subject of this posting–a powerful, world-influencing religious entity referred to in Revelation 17:5 as “MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT–THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”  In verse 6 we find the Apostle John being shown a vision of a woman riding a huge, terrifying “beast.”  The duo will come to world-dominating power at the end of the age shortly before the return of Jesus Christ.  We learn that the woman would be a one-world, globe-encircling church that would lead an all-powerful, globally-dominant government that would briefly come to power during the final 3 1/2 years of the world.  Further study of the Bible reveals that this beautifully-clad, blood-craving whore (vs 1) would produce daughter churches who would join her in her spiritual whoredoms.  Today the mother whore is known as the Catholic (Universal) Church and her harlot daughters are collectively known as Protestant (protesting) Churches.  As I have made clear in several website series, the religious umbilical connecting the two systems was never severed.  In reality, Protestantism is nothing more than Catholicism light.  As we will see, the “light” part will change.

Any honest seeker of Biblical Truth is aware that the two religious bodies, each calling itself “Christian,” will one day become one entity as the mother gathers her daughters back under her religious wings.  As I explain in three other series, these two church systems will one day become a one-world religious entity which, together with a world-ruling governmental power known Biblically as the “Beast,” will once again shed the blood of God’s people during what is known Biblically as the Great Tribulation.  The colossus that plunged mankind into two world wars will do so a third and final time.  That war-loving Beast today goes by the name of the European Union whose constitution allows only one religion among its members–Catholicism.  Her Protestant chicks will return to their spiritual mother–Mystery, Babylon.

The union of the two previously warring religious factions–Catholicism and Protestantism–into a single, world-dominating entity is the mystery behind the Babylonian religious system that will rise up in the not-so-distant future and wreak havoc on those who are not protected by the Lord.  Just prior to the beginning of the Great Tribulation (World War III) He will take His people to a place of safety (Rev. 12:14) where they will be protected and cared for while the rest of the world suffers the worst time of death and destruction ever experienced by mankind.  The Babylonian Mystery involves the present-day return of Catholicism’s protesting daughters to their Catholic mother from whom they never totally departed. Proof of this false exit can be found in the doctrines and customs shared by the two religious systems.  Some of them are listed in the Introduction to this website.  Over the centuries Satan has presented those doctrines to salvation seekers as “Bible truths” that are in reality heathen doctrines and practices that came straight out of the Babylonian Mystery Religion.  By keeping God seekers ignorant of His Truth Satan has kept billions entangled in his religious web known as “Christianity” for some 1900 years.  Throughout history only a few hungry, thirsty Truth seekers have dined on God’s righteousness-producing Word (Mat. 5:6) and have thereby entered His strait gate and walked His narrow way that leads to salvation (Mat. 7:13,14).  His “food” is available and His “gate” is open to anyone having a heart/mind willing to embrace His Truth.  However, Satan has deceived the whole world (Rev. 12:9) into entering his wide gate, walking his broad way and eating his defiled food which the Apostle Paul calls his “perverted gospel” in Galatians 1:6-9.  The result of man’s choice explains the spiritual condition of the nation that claims to be “under God,” the same God she claims to “trust.”  That nation–the United States of America–leads the world in sin production, practice and dispersion.   Race mixing is only one of the many abominations she flaunts before the rest of mankind.

Today we see not only racial mixing taking place, but also religion mixing.  Not only are Catholics and Protestants coming together for religious reasons, of late some have begun to unite with Islamic groups under the Satanic idea that all religions worship the same god, only in different ways.  For example, some “Christian” churches have begun holding meetings with Islamists.  These “Chrislam” services feature ministers from both religions preaching from their respective Books, proclaiming their respective “truths” and praying to their respective Gods.  The Biblical God’s true saints are aware of what Satan is doing.  Due to His revelation of Biblical Truth to His people, “Mystery, Babylon” is no longer a mystery.  It is the job of God’s ministers to share with the world the truth concerning the Institutional Church’s embrace of Babylonian mysticism.  Read Simon of Samaria: the Legacy, The Ingathering: the Rise of the End-time Church and The Mark of the Beast for more information.  Use the words “Simon,” “Ingathering” and “Mark” respectively to download the series.  Hopefully my efforts will open the eyes of many to what Satan is doing.  NEVER UNDERESTIMATE HIS POWER.  L.J.
