Because God’s 7th day Sabbath is the “sign” (Mark) that identifies God’s church, I will present several quotes from the apostate organization that initiated the change to the Sunday Sabbath. Her writings will reveal exactly who changed God’s “times and Laws.”

“Had she (the Catholic Church) not such power (to change the Sabbath), she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday, the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday, the seventh day of the week, a change for which there is no (Biblical) authority.” A Doctrinal Catechism, by Stephen Keenan, pg. 174.

“We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church, in the Council of Laodicea, transferred the solemnity (the Sabbath) from Saturday to Sunday.” The Convert’s Catechism of Catholic Doctrine, pg. 50, 3rd edition.

“Is not every Christian obliged to sanctify Sunday, and to abstain on that day from unnecessary servile work? Is not the observance of this law among the most prominent of our sacred duties? But you may read the Bible from Genesis to  Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the signification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify. Faith  of Our Fathers, by Cardinal  Gibbons.

“The Bible says, ‘remember that thou keep holy the Sabbath day.’ The Catholic Church says ! ‘By my divine power I abolish the Sabbath day and command you to keep the first day of the week.’ And lo, the entire civilized world bows down to the command of the holy Catholic Church.” History of the Sabbath. Father Enright, pg. 802.

“Sunday is a Catholic institution, and its claims to observance can be defended only on Catholic principles … From beginning to end of the Scriptures there is not a single  passage that warrants the transfer of weekly public worship from the last day of the week to the first. Catholic Press, Sydney, Australia, August 25, 1099.

“They (the Catholics) allege that the Sabbath changed into Sunday. Great, they say, is the power and authority of the Catholic Church. Ausburg Confession of Faith, article 28, paragraph 9, by Martin Luther.

The irony of the above quote is that, like all sects (denominations) that came into being following Luther’s revolt (the Protestant Revolution), the church named after him continues to serve Satan by defying God’s direct command to REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY AND KEEP IT HOLY. All who comprise the Counterfeit Church (Catholicism/Protestantism) rebel against God in numerous ways. However, the Sunday Sabbath is the one SIGN/MARK by which “the church” is recognized universally. This exhibition of arrogance highlights the church’s self-proclaimed right to defy God and exalt herself, making herself the object of her idolatry as she boasts to the world that she can defy God and still receive eternal life. No other religion dares to make such a claim relative to its god. Is it any wonder that Institutional Christianity is looked upon as a religious joke by the rest of the world? Unfortunately, the (Satan’s) joke is on the church itself.

A few final thoughts on the Sabbath issue. When God finished creating everything, including “MY Holy Day” (His Sabbath-Isa. 58:13), He called everything He had created “good.” Isn’t it strange that His Sabbath, which He SANCTIFIED and declared HOLY and GOOD, He supposedly allowed man to unsanctify and call unholy and evil? Foreseeing this, God warned that there would come those who would call “good” “evil” and “evil” “good” (Isa. 5:20). We know that it was the Counterfeit Church He was referring to, who rejected God’s holy, blessed and sanctified Day and embraced Satan’s sun god-worshipping day. Those who claim that any day of the week will suffice for the Sabbath need to notice that God did not bless, sanctify and call holy the “rest,” but rather the “DAY.” Churchman claims that He honored the rest, not the day. Therefore any day man chooses to rest is acceptable to Him. Someone is deadly wrong. Man points the finger at God and claims to be getting away with it because he is “saved.” And Satan smiles. God sanctified His day (Gen. 2:3). “Sanctify” in Hebrew is “qadas,” meaning to set aside as holy for God’s glory. Man refuses to glorify God, choosing rather to glorify Satan. A number of organizations are trying to legalize the Sunday Sabbath. At one time the United States had “Blue Laws” that prohibited doing business on Sunday. The United Nations has discussed the possibility of establishing Sunday as the global day of rest. France has had public demonstrations in favor of doing so for that nation. The Lord’s Day Alliance and the Catholic Twin Circle Journal are pushing hard to make Sunday the international day of rest. At present, bearing the Mark of the Beast (Sunday Sabbath observance) is voluntary. This will change when the world, including the church system, bows to the Antichrist and his False Prophet. A minutely few will not.
