“Manifest Destiny,”: Is There A Biblical Precedent For This Modern Day Concept? (Pt. 2)

“A loving God would not do that” is the theme most often heard coming from religious people relative to the white people versus red people history of the United States. They demand that reparations be paid to the American Indians for the land the white man stole from them. God, they contend, would never take land from one people to give to another people. These sentiments are most often voiced and written by young white people. I fully understand their thinking which is based on a lack of faith in and understanding of the Biblical God Who created all land and all people. When I reveal the ways of true Biblical God from an unbiased, unedited, word-for-Biblical-word presentation, the reaction ranges from shock to hatred, mostly the latter. But Jesus warned those who would be His spiritual brethren that the world hated Him would hate those who obeyed the Father as He did. Biblical Truth: IF YOU ARE NOT HATED, REJECTED AND DESPISED BY THE CHURCH BECAUSE OF YOUR OBEDIENCE TO GOD’S WORD, YOU ARE NOT A TRUE CHRISTIAN.

The god of the modern church bears little resemblance to the God of the Holy Bible. Modern man’s god is a powder puff who is thrilled to exchange eternal life in paradise for a thought, a do-gooder who views all people the same regardless of their attitudes and reactions toward his behavioral suggestions. As such, man’s god would never take land from one group of people in order to give to another group of people. Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28 destroy those sentiments. And let us not forget that the God of the Old Testament Whom the ancients dealt with, sometimes face-to-face, was none other than the God who came to earth as a man named Jesus (Jn. 1:1-4,14). Read The God of the Old Testament. Key word–Testament.

Among man’s various gods, the God of the Bible is the least known, least understood, least believed and least obeyed of man’s respective deities. No other religion chooses which of their god’s commands to obey and which to ignore. No other religion’s god allows his or her people to flaunt their rebellion before the world–for example, the Sunday sabbath which so-called sinners saved by grace observe. With such truths in mind, I will quote a few Scripture verses that tells us Who Is in charge relative to land ownership.

The Prophet Daniel, speaking about His God, says: “He changes the times and the seasons. He removes kings and sets up kings. The Most High rules the kingdoms of men and GIVES THEM TO WHOMEVER HE WILLS AND PLACES OVER THEM THE BASEST OF MEN” (Dan. 2:21; 4:17,32). I used the American land mass, the Indians and the white settlers as a modern-day example of God doing according to His will and not according to man’s will or man’s understanding. What man thinks about what God does is irrelevant to him. True understanding of this Truth takes us back to the first Book of the Bible–Genesis.

Now we will search out the Biblical application of Manifest Destiny–the focus of this series. Relative to man’s involvement, most of the world’s people have an opinion about the Israel-Palestine conflict that dominates the world’s media broadcasts. Who legally owns what is known as “Israel” is the focus of this series. The vast majority of those screaming “From The River To The Sea” (who, when asked, don’t know what river or what sea) would not believe what the Bible says about that issue, and they are not likely to read this website, or anything else that states the Biblical Truth about it.

Israel claims ownership of what is called “Palestine.” The problem is that the world’s Muslims make the same claim. This series will explain who owns the land from a Biblical perspective, the problem being that most people do not care what is written in that ancient Book by which we will all be judged (Jn. 12:48–read verses 44-50). This ministry takes the opposite approach. We will now delve deeply into the Holy Scriptures to learn about God’s omnipotence which enables Him to do what He does simply because He desires to do so. His reply to those who disagree with His ways is: “Take it or leave it.”

Notice that man does not determine who gets what, when, where, etc. relative to land masses. God creates nations and places over them whomever He wishes for whatever reason He wishes. He takes land from whomever He wills and gives it to whomever He wills. I do not vote because I know Who determines national leadership–the Biblical God.

The following will reveal that God is supreme, He does as He wills and owes no one an explanation. He takes land from whomever He wishes and gives it to whomever He wishes. In Genesis 18:19 we find God (the Word Who came to earth as Jesus Christ) saying about Abram (Abraham) that he was a man whom He (God) could trust to “keep the way of the Lord” and to teach his children to do the same. In Genesis 26:5 God says of him that He (God) will perform the oath He had made to him (Abraham) because “… Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes and My Laws.” Now the question becomes: WHAT DID GOD PROMISE HE WOULD DO FOR THE DESCENDANTS OF ABRAHAM BECAUSE OF ABRAHAM’S OBEDIENCE? The answer will explain why there is a war going on in Israel that involves people known as “Jews” and people known as “Palestinians.” The war is being fought over WHO OWNS THE LAND THE JEWS CALL “ISRAEL” AND THE MUSLIMS CALL “PALESTINE?” God tells us exactly who owns that tiny strip of real estate. By the way, what God promised Abraham’s descendants is many times larger than that tiny sliver of land today known as “Israel.” L.J.
