Jeremiah’s Message To Modern Christendom (Pt. 6)

In chapter 30 verse 20 of Jeremiah’s Book written to end-time Israel (the United States, Britain and the Jews of the Middle East), the Almighty tells the modern church (the “Israel of God”–Gal. 6:16) that He rejects her religiosity and churchiness. Here He uses the terms “burnt offerings and sacrifices” in reference to the acts performed in religious services in olden times in keeping with Moses law. This sacrificial and ritualistic law was instituted because Israel would not obey the Ten Commandment Law. In Galatians 3:19 the Apostle Paul refers to these rituals and blood-lettings as the “law that was added because of transgressions” against God’s Ten Commandment Law given to Israel on Mt. Sinai (Exo. 20/Deut. 5). Today those ceremonial acts have been replaced by religious rituals which, like those of their ancient counterparts, have no spiritual meaning because their performers (the church) do not obey the Lord.

God’s warnings from both His prophets and apostles concerning this life and death lesson has remained unlearned by those who call themselves God’s people. This in spite of Paul’s telling the church that what happened to ancient Israel (defeat, slaughter and enslavement) was recorded (in the Bible) as an example to be used “for our instruction.” Note that he identifies “our” as those: “upon whom the ends of the world have come” (1 Cor. 10:11). Paul knew that the Old Testament was recorded and preserved for God’s end-time church as a warning. The lessons taught in that tome have been not only unlearned, but rejected. By rejecting God’s Old and New Testament Word, the Counterfeit Church (Catholicism/Protestantism), along with many among His Elect church, have rejected both Himself and His Son (Lk. 10:16).

Content with her meaningless rituals and false spirituality, modern Christianity goes through her version of Moses law in blissful lock-step with Satan’s program of destruction. Jesus condemns modern church worship in Matthew 15:8 where He says: “These people praise Me with their mouth and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP ME by replacing My doctrines with their commandments.” In 2 Thessalonians 2:11 He warns false Christians that because of their false worship, He will sent them “strong delusion” which will cause them to believe a lie. The lie is that God’s grace gives them a LICENSE TO SIN (Jude 4). The author of this lie convinced Adam and Eve that they could sin and “… not surely die.” This lie is the foundation upon which the whole of professing Christendom has built her religious system. Being “sinners saved by grace,” they “know” that they can continue to sin and, because of God’s grace, get away with it. And to assure that they do not loose track of this “truth,” they employ “hirelings” to scratch their “itching ears” by repeatedly telling them that sin is inevitable, and because of this, Jesus died so that He, not they, would be held accountable. And having “nailed the Law to the cross,” thereby eliminating God’s definition of sin (1 Jn. 3:4), they “know” they are free to formulate their own version of right and wrong–Adam and Eve’s downfall. Having defined sin and righteousness, they are free to do as they please and call it “the way of the Lord.” Only God can determine right and wrong. By doing so churchman breaks the first commandment in the Lord’s Law–he commits idolatry by worshiping and serving a false god–HIMSELF. L.J.
