God has instructed the Prophet Jeremiah to write a book to the ten northern nations of Israel. He noted that the contents of the book would not be understood until the end of the latter days of the world as mankind has known it. By that time the entire nation of Israel would have been scattered throughout the entire world and would have become spiritual and social Gentiles–“lost” from public view. In chapter 30 verses 3,4 the Lord tells the prophet that He “… will bring (cause) “AGAIN” the captivity of My people Israel and Judah”–Jews (the tribes of Judah, Benjamin and Levi). Jeremiah had warned the Jews for many years that, if they did not return to the Lord they would be defeated, enslaved and scattered globally just as had the other ten tribes. The Jews had ignored him and, as a result, had been defeated and were on their way into Babylonian slavery from which they would eventually join their fellow Israelites in foreign places far from the land God had promised Abraham.

The word “again” in verse three is extremely important. It means that in the latter days of this present age Israel and Judah will again be defeated, enslaved and scattered throughout the world. As I proved in three previous teachings on the nation of Israel, the United States, Britain and the Jews of the Middle East constitute modern day Israel. The Lord is warning through Jeremiah that those three once great and powerful nations will soon suffer military defeat, massive slaughter and enslavement at the lands of their conquerors. This catastrophe is prophesied to take place in THE LATTER DAYS–the days in which we now live. In that the ten northern tribes had, at the time of Jeremiah’s writing, been in captivity for over 100 years and Judah soon would be, the Lord’s warning about being enslaved “again” makes sense.

Both Israel and Judah had been taken into slavery because of sin. The three nations of modern Israel are following in their ancestors’ moral footsteps. Today they are three of the most sinful, God-rejecting nations on earth. As the Almighty warned in Deuteronomy 28 and Leviticus 26, sin brings on curses from Him. Therefore, He is about to curse modern Israel exactly as He curse ancient Israel–with military defeat, wholesale slaughter, enslavement and global scattering. And the reason for modern Israel’s annihilation will be the same as with Israel of old–sin. God is no respecter of persons; what He does for or to one He will do for or to another if their morals are the same. Truth be known, modern Israel makes ancient Israel look like saints.

Jeremiah had warned the tribes of Judah before their downfall but had been rebuked. However, because Israel–the 10 northern tribes–had been defeated, taken into slavery and scattered over 100 years earlier, he had no way of warning them about what would happen to their descendants in the latter days. Instead, he would write God’s warning to them in a book which would be preserved until it was time for its Words to be understood–the end of the last days of the present world system. At that time the tribes of Israel would be able to understand that it was God Who had punished their ancestors and why. The book would also warn them of what was coming upon them if they did not turn from their sins and obey Him. Today Jeremiah’s warning is available world-wide in the Holy Bible . However, just as had their ancient ancestors, modern Israel, along with the church–“the (spiritual) Israel of God” (Gal. 6:16)–are ignoring Jeremiah’s message and will “again” be defeated, enslaved and scattered throughout the world. Israel will eventually see the light. In 30:24 Jeremiah tells her that in the last days she will “consider it”–understand why God did what He did to her. All of the above is scheduled to take place during THE LATTER DAYS in which we now live. In summary: Jeremiah wrote a book to Israel that would be preserved until the last days of this age when it would be understood by God’s messengers and explained to His people who would be able to understand it. However, as history has proven, understanding and believing are two entirely different things. It has been said that they who refuse to learn from history are bound to repeat it. The world is about to learn just how right those words are. Also, doubting Israel–the U.S., Britain and the Jews–is about to learn that God means exactly what He says. L.J.
