In the website series titled Jeremiah’s Message to Modern Christendom I brought out the Biblical fact that Jeremiah was commissioned by God to be His messenger to ancient Judah as well as to modern day Israel–the self-proclaimed “Christian nations” of the world, specifically the United States, Britain and the Jews of the Middle East. In the website series titled The Lost Tribes of Israel–The Apostles’ Mission Field and in the YouTube series titled Who and Where is Israel Today? I presented Scriptural proof that the 10 northern tribes of Israel are scattered throughout the world where their descendants are today found in every nation under the sun. Approximately two-thirds of the people King James translators nicknamed “Jews”–the 3 southern tribes properly known as Judahites–are also scattered globally. Approximately one third of the world’s Jews live in what is misnamed “Israel”–the tiny middle eastern nation Biblically know as “Judah.”
The Book of Jeremiah describes God’s dealings with the ancient Jews who, at the time of Jeremiah’s writings, had been defeated by the Babylonians. Those who had survived the slaughter had been taken into slavery. Most of these Jews would eventually be sold throughout the known world as slaves. They would remain scattered until the return of Jesus Christ to earth. However, by that time they would have become leaders and power brokers in the nations in which they found themselves. By then those nations would have achieved world renown militarily and economically. Unfortunately, by the time of Christ’s Second Advent, those nations would have followed Satan into his moral abyss where they found today. For this reason God will do to them exactly as He did to their biological and spiritual ancestors. He will cause them to be defeated in battle and the survivors to be carried off to other lands as slaves. Which brings us to this posting. Understand that God’s teachings are dual in nature–they refer to both ancient Israel and modern Israel. Unfortunately, modern Israel has not learned the lesson the Lord taught ancient Israel. Again, when God speaks He is describing both ancient and modern Israel.
In Jeremiah 1:11 God asks Jeremiah what he is seeing in the vision He is showing him. The prophet replies that he is seeing the rod of an almond tree. The Lord interprets this as His Word (warnings) coming to pass. In verse 13 God askes him what he is now seeing, which is a seething pot. Here God is showing Jeremiah what the nations calling themselves His people then looked like then and what they would look like at the end of the age.
The word “seething” is translated “boiling.” In a societal sense it means turmoil, conflict, war, anarchy, death and destruction. This scenario took place during the two times the Lord punished the Tribes of Israel for their sins. In this passage He is instructing Jeremiah to write on a tablet what was then happening to the Jews and what had already happened to the other tribes some 130 years earlier. Then God told the prophet to write the same thing a book that would be understood by those who call themselves His (God’s) people at the end of the age. That time has arrived. God is opening the understanding of the book to His loyal ministers who are commissioned to proclaim it’s contents to that which calls itself “the church” in the final days of this era. This His faithful ministers are doing. The problem is that the Institutional (Counterfeit) Church is not listening. Even many of those in God’s true church have turned a deaf ear to His warnings.
For this reason His true saints find themselves living in the midst of what Jeremiah saw in the vision–a seething, boiling, fighting, seeking, wanting, lusting, self-centered, God-rejecting world whose god is themselves. What Jeremiah saw broke his heart. For this reason he is called the “weeping prophet.” I have wept many times while thinking about what is happening to my God formed and blessed nation. She has become a pit of evil and degradation as men, led by the church, have rebelled against the God Who created and blessed her. The same is true of all so-called Christian nations whose hearts have been captured by God’s ultimate enemy–Satan. Satan accomplished this by first capturing the church. History has proven that as goes the church, so goes the nation. The church fell into Satan’s hands, followed by the nation. Even God’s true church suffered a mass defection, leaving only a few thousand saints to carry on His work. Having conquered the church, the rest of mankind has become low hanging fruit for the devil. The result of the above is described by Jeremiah’s “seething pot.” If you are in that pot, get out while you can. Work while you can, for the time will come when no man can work. L.J.
