I posted the first message concerning God’s draining of the D.C. swamp under the assumption that the American political abyss was the only swamp He was going to drain. Since then He has revealed that there is yet another swamp that will feel the sting of His touch. He revealed this new information to me over the past weekend. It began with a computer failure. God works in mysterious ways to tell me things–sometimes. At other times information simply materializes in my mind seemingly from “out of nowhere.” On several occasions He has shown me what He was going to do by way of a vision. Then there are those times when something I have been thinking about just “happens,” usually when I least expect it. Note that all such information comes from the Lord. Only He has the power to foretell the future. I thank Him that He is kind enough to share some of it with me. His latest message, actually a combination of confirmation and answer to prayer, came in a most unexpected way.
I had been thinking about the first “It Ain’t Over” posting and had been asking the Lord to assure me that I had heard Him correctly. Early last Saturday morning I sat down at my computer to work on a website posting when, for no reason, my computer simply stopped working. Admittedly, the unit is old by today’s standards and needs to be replaced. However, I tend to wear things totally out before I replace them (I drive a 1999 car). But in this case I assumed that it was time to buy a new computer. Because I do not do business on God’s Sabbath, I would have to wait until Monday (today) to take care of the situation. Not being able to work on a posting, I decided to do some reading in Genesis. However, upon placing the Holy Tome in my lap it fell open to Second Kings 22:1. For reasons I would soon understand, I did not turn on over to Genesis. Instead, I began to read: “Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign ….” Though in no way relevant to the current subject, it is interesting that it had been predicted many years earlier that a righteous king named Josiah would one day rule the nation of Judah. Note that this boy king was prophesied BY NAME, along with a particular deed he would perform, over 200 years before he was born (1 Ki. 13:1,2). This particular deed would come to pass during the 18th year of his reign and is recorded in Second Kings 23:17. Again, not connected to this situation, but interesting nonetheless. It reveals that God can control what He wants to control when He wants to control it.
As I studied the Second Kings passage (22:1-23:24) I began to realize that not only was God confirming what I believed He was going to do relative to “draining the D.C. swamp,” He was adding another group to the draining scenario and was telling me ahead of time so that I could proclaim it to you. This revelation concerned the ministry of that which today calls itself “the church.”
Years ago I read in the Book of Revelation that there would come a time when God’s true saints would be running for their lives from a powerful governmental entity which the Apostle John symbolized as a “flood of water” (Rev. 12:13-16). Scripturally, bodies of water are often used to represent masses of people such as nations. I assume in this case that the “flood” refers to the military or police arm of a nation, specifically the United States. In the passage we are told that the Lord will save His church by causing the earth to open up and swallow her pursuers. Since then I have wondered what God’s tiny, socially powerless, socially insignificant, socially rejected church will have done that will cause the nation, specifically her government, to want her dead. Not only did the Second Kings passage confirm my beliefs about the D.C. Swamp situation, it also answered my question as to why the U.S. government would be pursuing God’s church just before the beginning of the Great Tribulation. Let us turn to Second Kings 22 and allow the Almighty to shed light on both situations: the draining of both the political and the religious swamp that holds sway over the United States of America.
Amon had been the king of Judah (tribes of Judah, Benjamin and Levi, nicknamed “Jews” by the King James translators) until his death, at which time his son Josiah became king. Unlike his father, Josiah “did that which was right in the sight of the Lord.” “That which was right” involved the draining of the nation’s political and religious swamp. Josiah’s father and those who had come before him had abandoned the Lord and had desecrated His Temple by allowing it to deteriorate and using it for Baal worship. Josiah ordered the Temple to be restored and cleansed of everything that pertained to the heathen god. During the cleaning process one of the priests found a copy of the Law and had a scribe read it to Josiah who immediately realized that He was hearing the Words of God and that the nation had been living in rebellion against Him. The young king wasted no time in “draining the Judean swamp.” Scriptures reveal that he left no stone unturned in his zeal to cleanse the nation of everything and everyone who would not agree to obey God Whose will the nation had long ago rejected. Read 23:4-25.
At this point I knew that God was confirming what I so strongly believe–that He will save Donald Trump’s presidency. I came to see that the president had taken on the role of Josiah in coming against those who had defiled the nation. I soon realized that the Lord was also answering my question as to why His people would one day be forced to flee from the governmental powers. Understand that the acts of God often have both a present and a future application or applications. We must never limit God.
As I noted in the first “It Ain’t Over” posting, the political power of that future time will declare war on God’s people. The reason will be that God, through His church, will expose those in the Counterfeit Church for what they are–worshipers of a heathen god. Their leaders will be exposed as the “angel of light’s” (Satan’s) “ministers of righteousness” (false prophets) who have been posing as God’s true priests for almost 2000 years (2 Cor. 11:13-15). There is an interesting statement in the focal passage that perfectly describes today’s false prophets. It is found in 23:9. Here the writer tells about the priests of the high (heathen) places who refused to come to the alter of the Lord in Jerusalem, but would eat of the unleavened bread with their brethren. The “high places” were specific areas where the people worshiped various heathen gods under the leadership of those priests. Many years earlier King Solomon had built numerous such mounds and led the people of Israel in worshiping the gods of his wives and concubines. Notice in 23:9 that the priests of those high places refused to worship the Lord God (come to His alter in the Temple), but continued to act as if they were His people by participating in His Holy Days. In this case they celebrated Passover and the Days of Unleavened Bread as God’s people do today. Modern false prophets go through the motions of church-prescribed religion but, like their ancient predecessors, refuse to “come to the alter of the Lord” and worship Him by obeying His Word. See the Introduction to this website for a few examples of their doctrines, customs and traditions. God showed me through Josiah’s actions that He will expose the church’s false prophets at a future time. Revelation 12:13-16 reveals that those religious leaders will convince the government to come against God’s people and force them to flee to their place of safety which I believe to be a mountainous areas in the nation of Jordan called Petra. While there I noted that it is perfectly suited for such a gathering.
Not to my surprise, when I finished studying about Josiah I found that the computer had “mysteriously” healed itself. Not only did it come back on as I sat at the keyboard wondering what to do, the format totally changed and a feature had been added that I had been wanting but did not know how to acquire. I know NOTHING about computers. Like I said earlier, God speaks strange things to me in strange ways. And He never fails to do what He has “told” me He would do. Also, a connective wire had “somehow” come loose on both ends. I know what God did and why, I just do not know how, which is normally the case with me. Our God is a mysterious God.
In summary, the all knowing, all powerful, ever present God is not only going to drain the political swamp that is Washington, D.C., He is, at some point in the future, also going to expose false Christianity for what it is, specifically her leadership. This explains why the Institutional Church will urge the government to get rid of those who had exposed them. I and others have for years been preaching against the sin and corruption in both the federal government and the Institutional Church which have, each in its own way, led the nation away from God. In that the majority of American voters claim to be affiliated with the common religion (Catholicism/Protestantism), it stands to reason that sooner or later state and church will join forces and rise up against those who proclaim why God’s wrath continues to come upon them–personal and national sin. We have been speaking and writing about the “whirlwinds” He has repeatedly sent upon the country that claims to be “One Nation Under God” but refuses to obey Him, whose people proclaim “In God We Trust” then depend on their own intellectual, military and religious power. We whom God has called to expose the church’s hypocrisy and government’s corruption will soon feel the heavy hand of those whom they have exposed. With the evilness of professing Christendom and the federal government having been exposed, it will come as no surprise that they will turn on those who have exposed them–God’s “little flock” whom He also calls His “remnant,” His “Very Elect,” His “peculiar” church. Following her escape to “her place” of safety, the Great Tribulation will begin.
I heard moments ago that things are looking much worse for the president. He is being pressured by his own people to resign. Mike Pence is being counseled to use the 25th Amendment to remove him from the presidency. If he doesn’t, the congress could impeach him. If I could talk to him I would tell him two things: 1) stay the course and 2) SHUT UP. Dear readers, do not be swayed by the turmoil. It is not over. The bigger the problem, the greater the victory. God is still in charge. Trump is still His man of the hour–warts and all. He is God’s man of the hour. AND HIS HOUR IS NOT UP. He has not finished the job the Almighty assigned him to do. Solomon was installed to make Israel the jewel of the world in terms of material stature. He did that, even though he led the nation into a spiritual abyss. We need to remember that the president, as vile and ungodly as he is, is no worse than his detractors. There are no degrees of sin. Sin is sin. No one was more sinful than Bill Clinton, yet he remained in office following impeachment and, in the final analysis, did a good job politically (thanks to some advise from two conservatives). This president will also succeed in his assigned duty which is to drain the swamp, which will include many of those of his own party. L.J.
