Who And Where Is Israel Today? (Pt. 9)

In the previous posting I brought up the subject of the ruling Jewish monarchy that began with King David. I also mentioned the Scepter that explains the status of the royal Jewish family and the role it plays as head of the monarchy. At this point I need to discuss two very important aspects of the ancient Israel/Britain/America connection–the Scepter and the Birthright that God awarded Joseph’s sons Ephraim and Manasseh respectively. These honors were given, not because of anything either child had done or would do, but totally by the will of the Almighty.

The Scepter was anciently, and continues to be to this day, the sign of kingly office and royal power over God’s chosen people Israel. Today it involves and pertains only to the tribes of Judah, Benjamin and Levi, commonly called Jews. Ironically, the vast majority of world Jewry is not aware of the identity of their royal family. This includes the members of the monarchy themselves. This was not always the case. At one time the members of the royal British monarchy openly acknowledged their royal Jewish heritage and openly admitted that they could trace their ancestry all the way back through King David and then to Adam. But with the passage of time, combined with the efforts of Satan, being of the Tribe of Judah became an embarrassment to them. Today they are loathe to admit who and what they are–Israelites, specifically Jews, who possess the God-given Scepter of power and leadership over a large segment of God’s people.

As a holy symbol, the Scepter, in conjunction with the royal throne of King David, involves the promise of salvation for those Israelites who qualify for eternal life through obedience to the Word of God. When discussing King David’s coming death and the elevation of his son Solomon to the throne of Israel, God assured David that no matter what happened in the future, the Scepter would never depart from his family which was of the Tribe of Judah. This is brought out in other passages of Scripture. For example, in 1 Chronicles 5:2 and Genesis 49:10 we are told that the Scepter would always remain in the possession of the Tribe of Judah. Jesus Himself removed all doubt as to the holder of the Scepter and the source of salvation when He said: “… salvation is of (from) the Jews,” Himself being the specific Jew through Whom salvation must come (Jn. 4:22). Satan has successfully hidden the Tribe of Judah-salvation connection from the world in general and the modern church in particular. This is brought out by the fact that many modern religionists have turned against the Jews of the Middle Eastern nation misnamed Israel. This reveals a profound and deadly ignorance of God’s Word which blinds them to the fact that in order for a Gentile to inherit eternal life he/she must become a spiritual Jew (Rom. 2:28,29). A salvation-seeking Gentile must become a spiritual brother to Jesus of Nazareth by obeying His Father as did He (1 Jn. 2:6). Jesus made this clear in Matthew 12:46-50 when He identified His spiritual brethren as “… whosoever (Israelite or Gentile) will do the will of My Father in heaven is my (spiritual) brother, sister and mother”–His brethren. Note that by making this statement He was denying that His mother and siblings held that status. To Him they were spiritual strangers and would remain so unless and until they embraced the Father as did He. At the time He made the statement He was identifying His disciples, and only His disciples, as His spiritual brethren. Next: the Birthright. L.J.
