Jesus of Nazareth was God in human form. The Holy Bible is God in written form. Both the Bible and Jesus are called “the Word” (Jn. 1:1-4). John 12:48 states that man will be judged by “the Word.” What God-seekers must come to grips with is the Scripturally proven fact that the Word was written to, for and about Israel. The only time Gentiles (Heb.–heathen) are mentioned in the Word is when they came in contact with Israel. Jesus called them “dogs” (Mat. 7:6) while referring to Israel as “the children” (Mat. 7:6). Here in the final days of this age we find that God’s attitude toward those who reject His Word–heathen/Gentiles–has not changed.
Recall that the Apostle Peter stated that the Day of Pentecost, 31 A.D. was the beginning of the “last days” spoken about by the Prophet Joel (Acts 2:16,17). We are now living in the last of those last days. The next great event on the international scene will be national anarchy (race and religious wars, etc.) which will lead to World War III and the Great Tribulation. God’s people are preparing for the end by making sure that their spiritual (Israelite) house is in order. It is far past time for Truth seekers to accept true Israel for who she is, to identify God’s true church within her and to become part of it. Biological Gentiles become part of the House of Israel by embracing the God of the Israelites, believing and obeying Him, making them spiritual Israelites. Those who refuse to do so have only terror awaiting them. Dear reader, God is not in your church. Protection from what lies ahead will be found neither in your church nor the god of your church, both of which are counterfeit. There will be no “rapture” to save you from what is coming. Only in the God of Israel is there hope. Only in the Scriptural Messiah–a Jew–can protection during the Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord be found. With that in mind let us go back to the beginning of God’s chosen race of people and come forward to the hour in which we live.
The beginning of the nation of Israel is recorded in Genesis 12:1-3 where God (Who would later come to earth as Jesus of Nazareth–see The God of the Old Testament) has chosen a man named Abram (hereafter called Abraham) to be the progenitor of His Chosen People–the House/Nation of Israel. In this passage we find the Almighty presenting Abraham with a proposition: If Abraham would leave his family and his country and obey Him He would make of him a “great nation.” God would later promise him that if he would “… walk before Me and be perfect” He would make him “… the father of many nations,” that kings would come from him and that He would be the God of Abraham’s descendants “… throughout their generations” (Gen. 17:1-7). In verses 8,9 God promised that Abraham’s descendants (“seed”) would possess all of the land today known as Palestine forever. The promise involved all of the land between the Nile and Euphrates Rivers. The area known today as Israel (actually Judah) is but a small portion of what God promised to Abraham and his descendants–the Nation of Israel.
Note that the covenant promises of God were dependent upon Abraham meeting certain conditions: He had to leave his family and his country, walk before God and be perfect in order for the covenant to go into effect. Note also that THE CONDITIONS APPLIED ONLY TO ABRAHAM. The spiritual character of his descendants, be they good or bad, would play no part in the fulfillment of God’s promises. Now we learn that the Almighty had much greater plans for this former multi-god worshiping heathen. But in order for Him to fulfill the rest of His will, Abraham had to pass one more test. He had to kill his son Isaac. The outcome of this test is well known so I will not go into it. L.J.
