Every church person knows the terror He sent upon two houses of ancient Israelites. He began His wrathful woes when He sent the Assyrians to defeat, kill and enslave the 10 northern tribes. Approximately 130 years later He sent the Babylonians to defeat, kill and enslave the three southern tribes of Judah, nicknamed Jews by the King James translators. The New Testament Church declares that the ancient Israelites deserved what they received. But let us not forget that God warned their modern day descendants–the world’s “Christian nations”–that the same fate awaited them if they followed in their ancestors’ spiritual footsteps. His warning is graphically presented Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28. Why did the Eternal God condemn ancient Israel and will soon do the same for modern day Israel? The answer is summed up in one word: SIN. Both ancient Israel and modern Israel rejected His Word. In Luke 10:16 Jesus said that to not believe His Word is to despise it. And that to despise His Word is to despise Himself and His Father. Is it any wonder why God’s wrath fell on ancient Israel and is about to fall on today’s Israelites–the so-called Christian world? He will punish Britain and the United States with greater agony than the other God-professing nations because we have been so greatly blessed by Him. “Unto whom much is given, much is required” (Lk. 12:48). Therefore, great will be the Lord’s wrath on those two much-blessed nations. The U.S. is peopled primarily by the descendants of Manasseh who was given the Birthright promise. Britain is populated primarily by the descendants of Ephraim–recipients of the Scepter of rulership given to the Davidic family monarchy, today called “the Royal Family” and “the Royals.” Let us now take a short walk back in history to determine how the Scepter-possessing British monarchy came to be who and where they are.
In Revelation 3:7 Jesus Christ told the Philadelphia era of the church that He holds the “key of David,” meaning the knowledge of who David’s monarchial descendants are and where they can be found. Where we found them (in England) we also found the Scepter and David’s throne. Scripture reveals that David’s throne and Christ’s throne are one in the same. In Revelation 3:21 Jesus said that at that time He sat on His Father’s (not His) throne, which means He still sits on it and will continue to do so until He returns to earth. He also said that those who overcome Satan’s temptations to sin as He did WILL sit with Him (Jesus) on HIS OWN THRONE at that time in the Kingdom of God. By this we know that Jesus has a throne that He is not now occupying. We know from other Revelation passages that His throne will be in New Jerusalem which will be located where Old Jerusalem now exists. The throne Jesus will occupy is known Scripturally as the “throne of David” because God established His monarchy with David’s son Solomon who sat on his father’s throne while ruling Israel.
To trace the monarchy, the Scepter and the throne to where they now exist let us return to Mt. Sinai where God (later called Jesus of Nazareth–see The God of the Old Testament) made the Israelites His personal nation and supplied them with a government, the moral portion of which He wrote in stone with His finger–the Ten Commandments. These Israelites, along with the Gentiles who had become spiritual Israelites by embracing, believing and obeying their God, would be His people and He would be their God. He would rule them through judges who would enforce His Ten Commandment Law. L.J.
