Who And Where Is Israel Today? (Pt. 1)

November 5, 2017 by Larry Jaques Leave a Comment

Who and where is the nation of Israel today and why is it important for saints to know? The common answers are a) in the Middle East and b) it isn’t important. Wrong on both counts, if, that is, we can take God at His Word. The information this website is about to put forth is of vital importance to everyone who claims to be a child of God because, in 99.99% of the cases, they do not know who they are. The series we are entering into will tell readers who they are, where they came from and where they are going spiritually.

The Bible was written to, for and about Israel, sometimes called the House of Israel, Ephraim and Samaria depending on the context of the statement. Of the tribes comprising Biblical Israel, only the Jews are today mentioned in the media and written about in secular history books. Just last evening I heard a “Bible Scholar” talking about when “… the Jews came out of Egypt ….” It is commonly believed that the Jews make up the entirety of Israel. This is not merely wrong, but deadly wrong. This series is designed to correct that serious error. Of the 13 tribes of Israel, the Jews–the nickname given the tribes of Judah, Benjamin and Levi by the King James writers–are the only tribes whose identity and locations are known today. Which begs the question: Who and where are the other 10 tribes?

When God brought the Israelites out of Egypt in 1447 B.C. there were believed to be approximately 3,000,000 souls, which included a “multitude (of Gentiles) who came out with them.” These Gentiles became spiritual Israelites by embracing the Israelites’ God and marrying into the various tribes. Is it possible, as some contend, that those people known today as Jews, who number approximately 20,000,o00 world-wide, comprise the entire 13 tribes of Jacob/Israel?  There are 13 tribes because Jacob, on his death bed, divided the tribe of Joseph into two tribes headed by his two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh. If three million Israelites came out of Egypt some 3400 years ago, then there have to be hundreds of millions of them on earth today. So where are they? The Biblically ignorant claim that they stopped reproducing and became extinct. Others have no answer, but “know” that they are all now called “Jews.” God’s people know the Truth and know that God wants that Truth to be known. Those with hears to hear will hear and believe God’s Truth about the children of Abraham.

The family of Jacob/Israel, numbering 70 souls, entered Egypt in 1850 B.C. and left Egypt  some 400 years later numbering approximately three million. Now, over 3000 years later, the world can find no trace of the hundreds of millions of Israelites from the ten tribes. The world knows the whereabouts of the 10% or so that make up the people called Jews. So why does the world not know the identity and location of the other 90%? Why are they called the “Lost Tribes of the House of Israel?” The answer is both profoundly interesting and profoundly important. Using God’s Holy Word and secular history we will answer these questions. Less that one tenth of one percent of the world’s population know what you are about to learn. God said that in the end of the end times He would reveal such information to His prophets who would share it with those who would listen. Many will come to know the Truth, He warned, but few would believe it. Many are called today to turn from man’s religion (Catholicism/ Protestantism and embrace His Truth–His Word (Jn. 17:17). Many, He warned, would be called but few would answer His call (Mat. 7:13,14; 22:14) and be chosen to live with Him forever. We cannot answer God’s call if we do not not hear it. To hear His call we must know who we are. L.J.
