I have a few questions relative to the title of this series. But first, a quote from Jesus Christ concerning His dealing those within professing Christendom on Judgment Day. In Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus said: “Not every one who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven (God’s true church during this age); but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven (will enter it). Many will say to Me on that (Judgment) Day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied (preached) in Your name? and in Your name have we not cast out devils, and in your name have we not done many wonderful works?’ Then I will say to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me you who worked iniquity (Lawlessness).'” God’s Law is His Holy Word from Genesis to Revelation. Workers of iniquity are those who reject any part of His Word/Law. As James said in 2:10, to reject one commandment is to reject the entire Law, making one a worker of iniquity.
Concerning the people who will stand before the Lord on Judgment Day and remind Him of all the wonderful works they had done in His name, will they believe that they are saved, born again and rapture-ready? Will they face Christ believing that they had lived their church lives in a state of oneness with Him? Will they believe that they had taken Jesus as their Savior? Will they meet Jesus “KNOWING” that their next stop will be heaven where a mansion awaits them? Will they be shocked to hear Christ’s fateful words?
After ignoring the Holy Spirit’s voice, rejecting the Spirit and disobeying the Lord, did the five foolish virgins “KNOW” that they would be allowed to marry the Bridegroom? Were they surprised when they were turned away and sent into outer darkness? Yes.
Did Ananias and Sapphira “KNOW” that nothing would happen to them when they lied about how much they had made in the sale of their property? Did they “KNOW” that they would spend eternity with the Lord in paradise? Yes.
Did Judas “KNOW” that he was so tight with Jesus that he could sell Him out to the Temple priests and still be one of His disciples? At the Last Supper, did he “KNOW” that he was doing the right thing when Jesus told him to go do what he had committed himself to do? When he led the Roman soldiers to where Jesus was praying and identified Him, did he “KNOW” that he would remain in Christ’s good graces? Yes.
Did Mary and her other children “KNOW” that they were right with God when they were so ashamed of Jesus that they told Him to leave the area so as not to be an embarrassment to them? Yes.
Were the world-famous evangelists and church pastors of old “KNOW” that they were one with the Lord when they led millions to believe and obey a perverted gospel whose basic tenants were straight out of the Babylonian Mystery Religion playbook? Do their modern day descendants “KNOW” that they are walking with God in agreement with Him? Yes.
Do the 3,000,000,000 plus members of Satan’s present day Catholic/Protestant Church System “KNOW” that their souls are guaranteed a one-way ticket to paradise because they continue to believe and obey the heathen doctrines proclaimed by Satan’s false prophets? Yes.
The next question concerns why billions of people believe the same lie–THAT GOD’S LOVE MAKES THEIR CONTINUOUS SINS DISAPPEAR AS FAST AS THEY CAN REPENT OF THEM. The Apostle Paul, who received his gospel directly from Jesus Christ, answers the “why?” question in Second Thessalonians 2:10-12. Here he explains that these people, hundreds of billions of them over the past 1900 years, have been deceived into believing that unrighteousness is acceptable to the Lord who makes their sins vanish without a trace following a few well-used phrases. Do their religious descendants, upon reading that people will “perish” because they do not “love the Truth so that they might be saved,” “KNOW” that the warning does not apply to them? Yes.
How did this tragedy come about? What caused church people in the past, and now in the present, to become low hanging fruit for Satan? Paul tells us in verse 11 where he explains that, because church people did not LOVE, BELIEVE AND OBEY EVERY WORD OF GOD, He sent them “strong delusion so that they would believe a lie and therefore be damned (condemned) and not be saved.” Yes, you read it right: BECAUSE THEY REFUSED TO BELIEVE EVERY ONE OF HIS WORDS, HE, GOD HIMSELF, SENT THEM STRONG DELUSION SO THAT THEY WOULD BELIEVE A LIE AND NOT BE SAVED. God is serious about His Word. Those who do not believe and obey it incur His wrath. “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Heb. 10:31).
Those who will feel God’s wrath includes all church people who have “nailed the Law to the cross.” These are they who have rejected God’s definition of sin (the breaking of the Law–1 Jn. 3:4) and have therefore proved that they “despise” both Him and His Son (Lk. 10:16). These people “KNOW” that their sins have no effect on their relationship with the Lord because at some point they performed a prescribed ritual and parroted a prescribed phrase and were dunked in or sprinkled with water. Therefore they “KNOW” that they are saved, sanctified, born again and ready for the rapture. “Satan has deceived the whole world” (Rev. 12:9). L.J.
