My answer is “Yes.” Is he a Christian? It depends on the type of Christian to which one is referring. Donald Trump is a church-defined Christian. Proof: he goes to church, owns a Bible, has pastoral types praying for him, has church types voting for him, etc. He is the same type of Christian as was George Washington, Jimmy Carter, George Bush, Abraham Lincoln, Elvis Presley along with all Catholics and Protestants. The aforementioned luminaries were/are church-defined “Christians.” But not God-defined Christians. Neither is Donald Trump. Proof: he breaks God’s Law, as do the vast majority of church-goers within professing Christendom. The difference between church-defined Christians and God-defined Christians is like the difference between daylight and dark, up and down, in and out, true and false, etc. A good example of this difference is found in the Book of Revelation. Read what Jesus said about the congregation at Laodicea in 3:14-22. Note that He referred to the people as “the CHURCH of Laodicea” (vs 14), just as He did the other six congregations which He was addressing. Note that He condemned the Laodicean CHURCH. Then note that He called the previous congregation (vs 7) the “CHURCH of Philadelphia” which He praised. He called all seven congregations “CHURCHES.” But notice the difference between His message to the CHURCH in Philadelphia and the CHURCH in Laodicea–daylight and dark, up and down, in and out, true and false. Read Peculiarity: The Saints’ Segregating Characteristic. Use “Characteristic” as your focal term.
So why did God place Donald Trump, a vile, nationally-infamous sinner, in the White House? Because, as He told Nebuchadnezzer, King of Babylon, He places in political leadership positions “the basest (worst) of men” (Dan. 4:17). The question is, Why? I do not know. I do, however, have a theory based on many years of Bible study and almost 80 years of observation. My theory involves the general population (including the Institutional Church), political operatives, God’s people (His church) and the separation between His people (church) and all others. Read: God is a Segregationist. Use “Segregationist” as your key term. God’s people are not involved in the political process because politics is merely man’s vain attempt to direct the activities of a sin-saturated, God-rejecting nation with which His saints have no moral relationship. God’s people have no dealings with the political (man-directed) aspects of nation, state and local life. God’s people do not vote, for that would involve them in vain and carnal man’s futile attempt to govern according to his own self-centered, Satan-formed values. At the spiritual height of the Israelite Empire, which took place during David’s tenure as king, God was in charge of the nation. The people had no say in the nation’s activities. By reading the Psalms one can see that King David was totally dependent on the One Who had elevated him to that position. David was not without moral problems. But when he repented he stopped sinning–the only proof that one has truly repented. The nation obeyed God as He directed her activities through David. For this reason God will “restore the kingdom to Israel” (Acts 1:6,7) to the spiritual condition that existed during the days of David’s kingship. “The kingdom” referred to in Acts 1 was the kingdom over which David ruled–Israel. That kingdom will be restored in the future in the same geographical area as the first kingdom (Acts 15:16)–the Holy Land.
Note in the Acts 1 passage that Jesus has returned from heaven to teach His disciples the “things concerning the Kingdom of God” (vs 3), which He did for 40 days. The disciples, knowing the Lord’s Old Testament promises, asked Him WHEN He would RESTORE the Kingdom of God to ISRAEL, meaning the nation’s spiritual and geographical condition as it had been during the reign of King David. Note that Jesus did not correct them. He simply said that neither He nor they could know what was known only by the Father–when He would restore the kingdom to ISRAEL, meaning “the church, the Israel of God” (Gal. 6:16). As I have proven numerous times Scripturally, one must become a spiritual Israelite (obey God’s Law) in order to be saved. His coming earthly kingdom will be populated by spiritual Israelites. Note that the wall of New Jerusalem will have the names of the 12 Israelite apostles written on its foundations, and that her gates will have the names of the 12 tribes of Israel written on them (Rev. 21:12,14). Note that there are no Gentile names inscribed anywhere on the wall or gates of New Jerusalem. All Gentile converts will have become spiritual Israelites. There will be no spiritual Gentiles (Heb–goiim–heathen) either in the Kingdom of God or in New Jerusalem, which will be the universal headquarters of the kingdom. Which brings us to David’s son Solomon.
The question at hand concerns God’s placing corrupt, evil men in positions of national, state and local leadership. These leaders rule over man’s created political entities in which God’s people play no part. But what about all the woman being elected of late? one might ask. Female political leadership is a curse from God brought on by the sins of the people. This is brought out in Isaiah 3:12 where God is speaking through the prophet about the sinful condition of Israel. Here He states that, due to the people’s continuous sinning, their children oppress them and “WOMEN RULE OVER THEM,” women who “… cause you to err and destroy the way of your paths (lives).” Notice that of late the streets of the United States have been filled with rock-throwing, car-burning, building and business-destroying young people with child-like mentalities. Half of the American population (liberals) aided by liberal media types, glorify them–making them the nation’s “princes” (vs 4) who are allowed to do whatever they please. Notice who are the t.v. darlings who are continuously on t.v., the internet, etc. demanding this and that from elected officials. The radical America-haters (liberals) in D.C. are led by females, with more arriving with each passing election. Back to Solomon. As we will note, it was women who brought the Israelite king and the entire kingdom down by leading both king and country into national and individual idolatry.
David wanted to build God a Temple. God said no, that Solomon, David’s God-appointed successor, would build Him a Temple. Solomon was a sex-crazed, power-hungry ruler from day one. He was also the “wisest man on earth.” Carnal wisdom and spiritual wisdom are as different as daylight and dark, …. Some wisdom is of Satan. Note that the fruit of the forbidden tree of Eden would “make one wise” (Gen. 3:6). Carnal wisdom and spiritual holiness are diametrically opposed. Though Solomon had carnal smarts, he was spiritually corrupt. For political gain he made covenants with numerous heathen kings. To satisfy his sexual lust he married their daughters–hundreds of them. He caused the people of Israel to worship the various gods of his heathen wives who convinced him to build places in which to worship those gods. Having done so, he then led the people in worshiping them. Solomon was evil. Yet he was chosen by God to build a temple for Him and to rule over Israel for many years. Why did God not allow David build His Temple? Perhaps it was because Solomon was better at building. Which, in my estimation, is why Donald Trump is the president. I believe that God wants the Satan-serving D.C. “swamp” drained and its minions exposed to the world for who and what they are. No one else could do what Trump has done. Being already rich and famous, he was free to go against the “good old boy, you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours” D.C. cadre. The fact is, the president is as evil as those he is trying to expose. Nevertheless, God chose him to do a job, and the job has not been completed. I believe that God will keep Trump in the presidency for four more years in order to expose the rot that has consumed the entire political enterprise that is the United States Government.
However, as I stated in the previous posting, I believe that the president will, at some point, turn on God’s tiny church with a vengeance. The whole of professing churchdom will join him. No one hates the likes of me more than does the Catholic/Protestant religious system. I am at this point relatively unknown world-wide. That will change. And there are others, far better known than I am, who are as condemning of the Institutional Church as I am. There will come a time when the whole of professing Christendom, along with the Trump-led national government, will force God’s true church to leave this nation. In Revelation 12:13-16 there is prophesied a time when God’s people will be pursued by a “flood of water” (vs 15)–symbolic of people–as they flee to “her (the church’s) place” of safety in preparation for the Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord. The passage shows that God will do to their pursuers what He did to the Egyptians who pursued the Israelites as recorded in the Book of Exodus. The “dragon” of Revelation 12 represents Satan who will direct the activities of the “water” (church and government) as they demonstrate their hatred for God’s people. In fact, it will be Catholic/Protestant leaders who will convince the president to declare war on them. They will undoubtedly continue to guide the president in his persecution of God’s saints.
In summary, God uses the worst of mankind, including womankind and childkind, to destroy sinning nations, of whom America, led by the rebellious, Law-rejecting church, is chief. His use of Satan’s people does not mean that He in any way approves of them spiritually. They are useful only because they have the carnal qualities needed to do what He wants done to carnal man in this carnal world. He does not use His people in the political realm because they are non-political outsiders living within the present earthly kingdoms of men. God’s peoples’ kingdom is not of this world at this time, rather, their kingdom is in heaven. The kingdom will one day come to earth (Mat. 6:19), at which time the Lord’s people/church will assist the Godhead in ruling the nations of earth “… with a rod of iron” (Rev. 12:5; 19:15) until “the kingdoms of the world … become the kingdoms of our Lord” (Rev. 11:15). And the saints say, “Amen.” L.J.
