For the purpose of revealing why the Almighty is pouring out His wrath on the United States of America I will reproduce a masterpiece of observation that a friend sent to me.  The author of this soul-wrenching reality check is not identified.  But whoever he or she is, he or she deserves international recognition and gratitude.

The 20th century was the “American century.”  Her prestige and influence were at an historic peak.  Thanks to the “greatest generation” we won World War II by defeating the enemy in Europe, Asia and the Pacific.  We reduced Germany to rubble and put the rising sun to bed.  These triumphs set the stage for the greatest half-century in the history of mankind in terms of national power and prosperity.

We stopped the spread of Communism in Europe and Asia and fought international terrorism.  We rebuilt our former enemies and lavished foreign aid on much of the world.  We built skyscrapers and sent men to the moon.  We conquered Polio and are now attacking COVID.  We explored the mysteries of the Universe and the wonders of DNA–the blueprint of life.

But today we watch in horror as America moves from a free enterprise economy to Socialism that has never worked anywhere at any time.

We have gone from a representative republic guided by a constitution to a regime of revolving elites.  We have less freedom with each passing year.  Like a signpost to a soon-coming reign of terror, the cancel culture is everywhere.  We have traded the American Revolution for the Cultural Revolution.

The pathetic creature in the White House is an empty vessel filled by his handlers.  At the G-7 summit, “Dr. Jill” had to lead him around like a child.  In 1961, when we were young and vigorous, our leader was also.  Now a feeble nation is technically led by the oldest man to ever serve in the presidency.

We can’t defend our borders, our history or our streets.  Our cities have become anarchist playgrounds.  We are a nation of dependents, mendicants and misplaced charity.  Homeless veterans camp in the streets while illegal aliens are put up in hotels, fed, medicated and transported at taxpayer expense.

The president of the United States can’t even quote the beginning of the Declaration of Independence (“You know–the Thing”) correctly.  Ivy League graduates routinely fail history tests that 5th graders could pass a generation ago.  Crime rates soar while we blame the 2nd Amendment and slash police budgets.

Our culture is certifiably insane.  Men think they are women and visa versa.  We turn one race into oppressors and another into victims–each is expected to hate the other.  A psychiatrist at Yale fantasizes about shooting white people in the head.

We slaughter the unborn in the name of freedom.  Our national debt is a $28 trillion monument to our inability to face reality.  Our “entertainment” is sadistic, hihilistic and is as significant as a candy wrapper in a trash can.  Our “music” is noise that ranges from annoying to repulsive to anyone with a room temperature I.Q.

Patriotism is called insurrection; treason is celebrated and perversion is sanctified.  A man wearing a blue uniform gets less respect than a man wearing a blue dress.

How do nations slip from greatness to obscurity?

By fighting endless wars they can’t or won’t win * accumulating massive debt far beyond their ability to repay * refusing to guard their borders * allowing themselves to be inundated by alien hordes * surrendering control of their cities to mob rule * allowing the indoctrination of their young by an overreaching government * moving from a republican form of government to an oligarchy * sacrificing one’s national identity in the name of diversity * welcoming criminals in the name of inclusion * indulging indolence * abandoning faith and family.

To the unknown author I say, “Well said.”

Is it any wonder that the Almighty is pouring out His wrath on modern Israel (the U.S., Britain and the Jews of the Middle East) in these last days?  Knowledge of His commands to her, when compared to the personal lives of her people, makes the reason for His rage, especially against America, understandable.  Israel has once again failed Him.  Therefore Israel must once again must be punished with military defeat, slaughter and the enslavement of her survivors in the lands of the victors.  As the comic character of long ago said: “We have met the enemy, and he is us.”  Truly Israel is her own worst enemy.

For the fallen church–“the Israel of God,” will be no return to God in the final days of this world.  Only individually is there hope for the immediate and eternal future.  The church–professing Christendom’s golden calf–does not offer protection from the coming storm because the Biblical God is not there.  Only in man’s prayer closet where he has locked himself in with the Lord can deliverance be found in the Person of the great “I Am.”  Only He can save the truth-hungry soul.  Only He can point the way out of “that unclean thing”–the Institutional Church.  Only He provides the marching orders for eternal life in His Holy Bible.  Only He can supply the Holy Spirit power to obey those orders–the only way to receive salvation upon the return of His Son to earth.  Only He can take His Very Elect to His place of safety and sustain them there while the Great Tribulation rages all around them.  Only He can bring the terror to an end with a final slaughter of His enemies.  Only He can award eternal stewardship of the earth and the universe to His obedient servants who had served Him in a state of holiness in their previous life.  Carefully study 1 John 2:6; 3:1-10 and Revelation 3:21.  L.J.
