“I Ride The Brand”: Being Sanctified Unto The Lord (Pt. 5)

In the Old West, a “brand” on an animal announced to any and all the identity of its owner. In the human sense those who worked for the animal’s owner “wore (rode) his brand”–they identified with him and  served him with loyalty, often risking their lives to protect his property. The owner was equally loyal to those who worked for him.

In the spiritual realm the “brand” (lifestyle/”walk”-1 Jn. 2:6) one manifests announces to any and all the one he loves, obeys and serves, whether the Biblical God or the Biblical Satan. Each and every individual wears his master’s “brand.” Though there are only two choices, man has designed hundreds of changes in God’s brand which torques it into the shape they want it to be.

In the Old West there were people who were very skilled at altering the brand on another man’s cattle to make it appear to be their own.

The Holy Bible is God’s brand; it spells out the steps one must take in order to enter eternal life. Simply put, the alterations (changes) man has done to God’s brand are seen in the various divisions (denominations and so-called non-denominations) that comprise professing Christendom. God condemns that two-headed, multi-bodied religious empire identified in Revelation 17:1-5 as the Whore and her harlot daughters who have perverted His gospel to match their respective “faiths.”  In today’s world they are today known as Catholics and Protestants respectively. These are counterfeit Christians who have altered God’s “brand” to make it fit their respective theologies.  These spiritual brand-changers fall into two groups. Those who do not know God’s Word (the vast majority) are guilty of “brand ignorance.” The few who do know the Truth are guilty of “brand rejection”–my terms. It has been my experience that when brand ignorant people are shown God’s Truth they become brand rejecters. In the end, those in both groups continue to ride Satan’s brand, believing that, because they are “saved,” the brand they ride is irrelevant. After all, isn’t that what repentance is all about? They need only ride up to their meeting place each Satan’s sabbath, dismount and go inside where their false prophet declares them once again cleared of their accumulated sins. That done, they return to their spiritual horses, mount up and ride off into another week of altered brand manifestation. And if they happen to see someone wearing God’s brand, they thank their god that they are not like that poor, wretched outcast. After all, who wants to be peculiar and strange like that reprobate?  Who wants to be outside the religious loop? And their god smiles.

God’s brand is total obedience to His Word. God commands us to wear that brand so that all can see it and know that we have “come out” of the devil’s citadels of sin and walk contrary their perverted gospels (2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1). By obeying God’s command to “touch not the unclean thing” (2 Corinthans 6:14-7:1) we “abstain from even the appearance of evil” (First Thessalonians 5:22). God’s true saint obeys His command to “walk as He (Jesus) walked” (1 Jn.2:6) thereby manifesting His Father’s brand for all to see. By manifesting God brand, Jesus “revealed the Father” to the world (Mat. 11:27/ Jn. 1:18), which is what one must do in order to qualify for eternal life. We must qualify just as did God’s Messiah. He lamented that, though many are called to do so, few would answer the call (Mat. 20:16; 7:13,14).

I will close with a request directed to all those billions of “sinners saved by grace” who “know” that sin is inevitable due to Adam’s fall, and that one need only repent after each inevitable sin in order to join Jesus in the rapture. Would one of you please explain to me why God lied in the Scriptures cited in this series? You can contact me at lpj4142@gmail.com.  L.J.
