Why is it that so many people do not understand the Bible? Why is there so much disagreement when it comes to God’s inspired Word? The short answer is: MAN INSISTS ON SELF-GOVERNANCE. The long answer is: MOST BIBLE OWNERS ARE NOT WILLING TO OBEY THE COMMANDS OF GOD FOUND IN THE BIBLE AND LOOK FOR CONVENIENT WAYS AROUND THEM. SATAN HAS A WIDE VARIETY OF WAYS WHICH HE USES IN HIS RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS CALLED CHURCHES, DENOMINATIONS, FAITHS, ETC.

Different people have different preferences as to the “true meaning” of the Holy Scriptures with which they disagree. People who have the same preferences form a group, label their group a church, give themselves a name, codify their improvements on what God has written and work to lure other people to join them. Satan’s success is proven by the fact that America–the world’s religious leader–is called a “Christian nation” and has “IN GOD WE TRUST” printed on her currency. America is a church nation, not a Christian nation. She does not trust in the Biblical God, but rather in her church system. THE CHURCH IS AMERICA’S GOLDEN CALF WHICH HAS LED HER BACK TO SLAVERY TO HER TRUE GOD–SATAN.

Proof of the short answer to why so many people do not understand the Bible is found in the numbers. There are literally hundreds of churches, faiths, denominations, etc. within what is called “the church.” This plethora of definitions of Bible Truth proves that the church system operates in direct, open and intentional defiance of God’s Word which states in no uncertain terms that there is only one church, which He calls The Church of God a dozen times in the New Testament. Every command (His every Word is a command) must be obeyed in order to be part of His ONE AND ONLY CHURCH. God’s “little flock” (Lk. 12:32), His tiny “remnant” (Rom. 9:27; 11:5), His minutely “few” (Mat. 7:13,14) elect saints (Mat. 24:31/ Col. 3:12) are those who understand His Word (Law), believe it and obey it. However, counterfeit Christianity’s hundreds of “churches” openly declare that the Law they are commanded to obey was “nailed to the cross.” By doing away with the Law by which God governs His true saints, church people have awarded themselves the authority to make their own rules. These rules are called “church doctrine.”

God commands those who want to be His true saints to “walk” with Him spiritually. He asks, “Can two walk together unless they are in agreement?” (Amos: 3:3). The obvious answer is “no.” The question then concerns how one rises to where God is spiritually which is necessary in order to walk with Him? How does an earth-bound human being walk with God who abides in “heavenly places” (Eph. 1:3, 20; 2:6/ Heb. 3:1) in this life? How does one walk (live like) Him as we are commanded to do–Jesus of Nazareth being our example (1 Jn. 2:6)? Instead of studying His Word for the answer, Satan has convinced his people that what God commands is impossible, that all He requires of them is that they believe in Him. What man declares to be impossible, God commands man to do. How does man fulfill this “impossible” requirement?

First, one must remove himself from those who declare that such a walk is impossible because of Adam’s sin transferal miracle. Satan’s false prophets preach this message throughout the Catholic/Protestant Religious System known globally by such names as “Christianity,” “the church,” “professing Christendom,” etc. God’s attitude toward such false organizations and their leadership is summarized in Second Corinthians 6:14-7:1 where, through the Apostle Paul, He commands all Truth seekers to “Come out of her (the church) and be separate; do not touch that unclean thing.” Then and only then “will He be your God and you will be His people.” Why is it necessary for Truth (salvation) seekers to leave the Institutional Church in order to qualify for eternal life? Because the leaders of that “unclean thing” teach hundreds of different perverted Gospels that have been taught them by “other Jesus’s” (2 Cor. 11:4) whom Satan has provided to tell each group what they to hear. God calls such prophets “hirelings” (Jn. 10:12,13) who are paid to teach their disciples “smooth things, lies and deceits” (Isa. 30:10). Church members, myself included in the past, are taught to believe their leaders and not to question their teachings by comparing them to God’s Word. We are commanded to test them in First John 4:1. Instead, they are told to accept what they tell us as “Bible truth,” and that merely believing in Jesus places them in good standing with the Lord and guarantees their salvation and rebirth. I composed a mantra that describes the foundational theology of the modern Laodicean Era church. In order to guarantee their entrance into heaven churchites need only “show up, pay up, ‘fess up and prepare to go up. The fix is in my friend, so sin and grin, for in the end, you’ll still win. Pie in the sky, sin ’till you die, for in the sweet bye and bye, you’ll still get to fly.” I have been told by pillars in the church that obedience is not an option, but rather an impossible task. I have been told that it is impossible to obey God’s Law. One woman, a former missionary, told me: “It’s just too much trouble to obey God.” And why should anyone obey Him if the fix is in once one has “taken Jesus as his/her personal Savior.” As I have reported before, several salvation whores guarantee the transition from sinner to saint in ten seconds. One of them pulls it off in nine seconds. I know because I timed them. And Satan smiles.

Man’s problem relative to understanding the Bible is almost as old as Christianity itself. Following the world-ruling Roman Empire’ ‘s embrace of Catholicism and the forcing of everyone in the empire into the Catholic Church, all study of God’s Holy Word became a thing of the past. In fact, owning, reading or hearing the Holy Scriptures was a crime punishable by death at the hands of the church-state political apparatus. Truth was what church/state leaders said it was. Period. For example, Roman Emperor Constantine outlawed the celebration of Passover in 325 A.D. In its place he inserted the celebration of Easter–the Goddess of Fertility from which we get chicks, rabbits and colored eggs. In 364 A.D. Pope Sylvester I outlawed the Lord’s Saturday Sabbath and instituted Sunday as the church’s Sabbath day. Following the Catholic/Protestant split led by Martin Luther, the custom of taking the leader’s word for God’s Truth continued. The custom remains in effect today. God’s true ministers work to introduce His Word to those in the modern church. On those few occasions when someone actually listens to and checks out His Truth, the usual response is something like: “I didn’t know that was in the Bible.” Incredibly, this admission is normally followed by something like: “But that’s not what I was always taught.” Satan one–God zero. I am no longer surprised at such responses to God’s written Truth. I am surprised (nay–shocked) when someone wearing a cross agrees with Him.

Perhaps the primary Biblical verse by which God addresses the church’s lack of understand of His Word is Second Timothy 3:16: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and for instruction in righteousness.” We will do a “fine print” study of that powerful verse in order to glean God’s message embedded within it. Notice the first word: “ALL.” God tells us that every Word in His Holy Scriptures was written by “holy men of old who spoke (and wrote) as they were moved upon by God’s Holy Spirit” (2 Pet. 1:21). Their Words were recorded and preserved so that we who would be alive at the end of the age (world) could be taught by them (1 Cor. 10:11).

We will now follow the Lord’s Bible study instructions found in Isaiah 28:9-13 by studying His Word “precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little.” All Scripture is inspired by God. This Truth includes the Old Testament. Recall that Christ’s apostles used the Old Testament to teach the New Testament Church the ways of the Lord. The New Testament did not exist for the first 70 years of the church’s history. Read about this Truth using the key word–Old.

“Scripture” comes from the word “script,” meaning writing. Men of old who wrote what the prophets preached were called “scribes,” meaning those who “scripted” what other people spoke. For example, Jeremiah’s scribe (scripter) was a man named Baruch who recorded what Jeremiah spoke. His Words continue to teach Truth seekers today. “Inspired” means to be led by the Holy Spirit when writing and speaking. The Lord’s prophets and apostles wrote and spoke under the inspiration (power and guidance) of the Holy Spirit. The Lord’s true apostles today speak and write under the power and leadership of that same Spirit. For example, there have been times when, while teaching (I am a teacher, not a preacher) I have spoken things that I did not know that I knew–things that I had never heard or heard of.
