Chapter eight

Verses one and two: Notice that the first two things the Apostle Paul mentions about the saints’ High Priest and His Father concern where the two Gods reside–in the heavens. The second fact brought out in Paul’s statement is that the Holy Spirit is not mentioned as either being present with the two Gods or as having a throne as have both of Them. It is true that Jesus having a throne is not brought out in this statement, but is brought out in other places such as Revelation 3:21 where He notes that only overcomers will sit with Him on His throne which will be located at His Father’s–“the Majesty”–side (on His throne). Again, no mention of the throne of the Holy Sprit. This, among many other Scriptures, reveals that, contrary to popular church opinion, there is no such thing as a three-membered godhead. See The Trinity where I offer Scriptural proof that the “trinity” is a figment of man’s imagination fueled by Satan’s false “truths.” As stated in the series, the idea of a trinity came from a society which worshipped a three-headed god. The concept was accepted by the Catholic hierarchy who incorporated it into church theology in order to placate the heathen “converts” who had been forced to “convert” at the point of a sword. Many of Christendom’s “truths” entered the church in the same manner. Every one of them is today accepted by Catholicism/Protestantism as gospel truth. Satan has so blinded the religious mind that no one in the church has the will or the honesty to search God’s Word in order to discern His Truth. My assignment from the Lord is to offer His Truth to them. So far there have been only about 2200 known takers. I have no way of knowing how many believe His Truth.

In verse 2 we find that the definite article “THE” is used in reference to God’s present sanctuary/ tabernacle. Notice also that Paul uses the expression “TRUE tabernacle” in reference to the meeting place where God and man come together for communion and fellowship. Notice also in verse 1 that the first tabernacle/sanctuary was built by Moses but the second tabernacle was built by God. The first one was physical, visible and open only to the priests and the high priest. The priests could go beyond the first vail, but only the high priest could enter the Holy of Holies to intervene for the Israelites. The second tabernacle, built by God, is spiritual and is open to His High Priest–Jesus Christ–ALONG WITH HIS SAINTS who go there at will in order to fellowship with Them. This is why God commands that, whenever possible, we must get alone with Him in order to commune with Him. Within His spiritual Holy of Holies there are no distractions–just Father and sons enjoying each other’s presence. Let it be noted that the two sanctuaries have one thing in common–both contain the Ten Commandment Law. Within the ancient Holy of Holies the stone-etched Law was located inside the Ark of the Covenant. In the New Covenant sanctuary–the saint–the Law is etched in flesh and located in the saint’s heart.

Anciently only the high priest could go beyond the second vail into the physical Holy of Holies where he offered to the Almighty the blood of animals that covered the sins of the people. But now, following the death and sacrifice of Jesus of Nazareth, true saints–a “holy priesthood,” a “holy nation” (1 Pet. 2:5,9)– can join Him inside the spiritual Holy of Holies where they can minister to the Father while spiritually using the shed blood of Jesus Christ as their offering.
