As the saying goes, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”  And the saying is right.  So says the Lord numerous times in His Holy Scriptures.  On an individual basis, there is a solution to the latest curse the Lord is now pouring out on mankind (CODIS-19) and the physical, mental, emotional, economic and spiritual problems it is causing.  The same solution will protect the individual in the midst of any and all future curses that He will pour out on sinning man.  The solution is OBEDIENCE TO HIS WORD.  God’s promises of blessings and curses as recorded throughout His Word are normally individual in nature for the sinner who repents, turns from his wicked ways and obeys His Word.  However, as previously stated, if a nation repents, turns from its wicked ways and obeys Him,that nation will be blessed.  If an individual is obeying Him while 10,000 around him are not, he will be found standing when all others are not (Ps. 91:7).  OBEDIENCE TO HIS WORD IS THE CURE FOR THE PRESENT AND PREVENTION FOR FUTURE.  So says the Lord time and time again.  Recall that Jesus said to the man whom He had healed at the Bethesda pool: “Sin no more, LEST A WORST THING COME ON YOU.”  Translation: “God put a curse on you because of your sins.  If you sin again He will put a worse curse on you” (Jn. 5:14).  God is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34).  Recall that Jesus told the rich man that ONE SIN would prevent him from receiving salvation (Mk. 10:17-22).  Note in verse 21 that Jesus “loved him.”  However, God’s love does not save the soul.  The man’s  singular sin would keep him out of paradise.  SIN=DEATH (Rom. 6:23).  If God will reject a man for a single sin for eternity, He will certainly put a curse on him in this lifetime.  The church does not believe what Jesus said.  A church woman spoke for the church when she said, “God doesn’t like sin, but He won’t do anything about it.”  Following this heresy He told me in a vision He was going to kill her and how He would do it.  He killed her a few weeks later.  He told me in a vision that He would kill another woman because she rejected what I told her about His Sabbath.  She died unexpectedly less than a month later.  He told me He would kill a man if he did not stop drinking.  The man dropped dead shortly after that.  In the case of the women, doctors could find no medical reason for their deaths.  I was told nothing about the “cause” of the man’s death.  GOD IS SERIOUS ABOUT SIN, which He defines as “the transgression of the Law/Word” (1 Jn. 3:4).  This is a lesson “sinners saved by grace” will learn the hard way.

The problem with church people is that they do not know God’s Word.  Having never heard it, and being supposedly “saved, born again, etc.,” they see no need to learn it on their own.  Satan’s false prophets teach them a “perverted gospel” (Gal. 1:6-9) designed by him to scratch their “itching ears” (2 Tim. 4:3).  Different people have different itches.  For this reason he created numerous religions and hundreds of cults within professing Christendom.  This deadly ruse began in the Garden of Eden when the Serpent scratched Eve’s ears with a lie.  Hearing what she wanted to hear, his lie became her truth.  Nothing has changed.  See the Introduction to this website for a list of heathen beliefs and customs church people believe and practice today.  God calls them “doctrines of devils.”  The church calls them “truths.”

Billions of people own Bibles but know only what their “hirelings” tell them about what is written in them (Jn. 10:12,13).  Their hirelings feed them Biblical headlines, but ignore the fine print behind those headlines.  God is in the fine print.  The church ignores the fine print.  Therefore God is not in the church.  In Christ’s letter to the end time church (the Laodicean era), Jesus said this about her: “Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing, you do not know that you are WRETCHED, MISERABLE, POOR, BLIND AND NAKED'” (Rev. 3:14-17).  A more appropriate characterization of the modern Catholic/Protestant religious system cannot be found.  The church is totally ignorant of her deadly spiritual condition because she does not know God’s Word and refuses to accept it when it is revealed to her.  A good example of this phenomenon was relayed to me by the friend of an associate pastor who told my friend that when he and the pastor read what I had written about Christmas “… they cried,” knowing that they were defying God.  However, that has not stopped them from celebrating Christmas.  When Satan sinks his claws (false “truths”) into the mind of a churchite it is almost impossible for his victim to escape.  Throughout the years I have been preaching God’s Word, I can count the number of true converts that I known or known of on one hand.

In Isaiah 28:9,10 God tells us how to get past headlines such as, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved” and into the fine print such as “The wages of sin is death” and “sin is the transgression of the Law”.  In Isaiah 28 the Lord commands us to search out all Scriptural passages (puzzle pieces) relative to a subject (puzzle picture) and place them together so that they “fit.”  Then, and only then, will His “picture” form.  The pieces are individual “Truths” which, when combined properly, form THE ONLY Truth concerning the subject.  While Satan’s ministers present only the headlines (God’s picture), God’s ministers stress the fine print (His pieces).  The problem is that their words fall on itching ears that have been conditioned to reject them.  The church hammers square pegs into round holes, then declares that they fit perfectly.  Indeed, Satan has deceived the whole world into rejecting the Lord’s true gospel and following his perverted gospel.

The result of man’s choosing Satan’s word over God’s Word is curse after curse after curse from on high.  Anyone who doubts the power of Satan over professing Christianity should consider these two instances.  A local preacher admitted that everything I had written in a newspaper article was true.  Nevertheless, he and his church would stay the course they were on.  His parishioner who reported the incident agreed with him.  Another pastor admitted that the Bible was indeed God’s Word, but that he and his church were, “… stepping outside the Bible” to find the truth.  Though no one will admit it, this is the attitude 100% of professing Christendom embraces.  I have proven this publicly hundreds of times, but to no avail.  Truly, Satan is the god of this earth and its church system (2 Cor. 4:4).  Jesus says to the Bible-rejecting Institutional Church what He said to the Jews who did not believe Him, “Your (spiritual) father is the devil.”

I will end this series by briefly summarizing Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28.  Believe and obey God’s Word and He will bless every aspect of our lives.  Reject any part of His Word and He will curse every aspect of our lives.  Recall that the Old Testament is God’s how-to manual for the New Testament Church (1 Cor. 10:11).  The Almighty has placed before us life and death.  The choice is ours.  L.J.
