The Future Of The Church, The Nation And The World (Pt. 4)

In order to predict the future of the church, the nation and the world we are examining the past in order to plot the spiritual and social route that has brought us to the present. Because we live in a Satan-concocted “global village,” what happens in one area of the world now affects the rest of the rest of the world, and does so more quickly than ever before. For the remainder of this series we will be examining social/church movements that have tiptoed onto the  scene, gained acceptance, then quickly evolved into a universal “must do” activity or mindset.

ABORTION: At one time not too long ago the world’s church system adamantly rejected abortion, as did the nations in general. But since that time two generations have come on the scene and have left the stain of their ever-increasing liberality on everything they touched. According to recent national and international polls, the majority of people, including church people, believe that murdering her unborn child is the right of every female. Not surprisingly, with social and spiritual liberalism having raised their ugly heads, abortion went from sin to acceptable in record time. Today, not only is abortion the right thing to do, anyone who voices a Bible-based opinion to the contrary is labeled a “hater” who is not only wrong, but evil, and should be dealt with as such. Which brings up the question: “What’s next?” I predict that within 20 years, probably sooner, women will be allowed to legally kill healthy newborn children. Impossible? Read and learn.

Several years ago when abortion was being heatedly debated a federal legislator, whose name I cannot recall, was asked at what point should a mother not be allowed to kill her offspring. Her answer: “When IT leaves the hospital.” Unthinkable? you say. Remember, “late term abortion” was unthinkable at one time. In fact, abortion at any time during a pregnancy was unthinkable only a few years ago. But mankind has “progressed” greatly since those wilderness days, or so we are told by those “in the know.” I know one thing. I know what God says about the slaughter of innocents. He says something about man being created in His image and likeness. He also mentions something about sowing and reaping. Then there is the Lake of Fire, etc. Sweet baby Jesus in the manger is no more. He has been replaced by the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

Today, if an unborn child is unwanted for any reason he/she can be slaughtered, sliced and sold for commercial use, which happens thousands of times daily within the world’s “Christian nations.” A clue to what lies ahead relative to legalized murder can be found in the past when mentally and physically challenged people were routinely put to death regardless of age. Prior to and during World War II the German Nazis killed thousands of their own people who did not measure up to their mental and physical standards. What we must remember is that before, during and after that time GERMANY WAS A HIGHLY RELIGIOUS NATION. The United States is also a highly religious nation. Prior to the 1970’s no one would have predicted that abortion would be legalized in this “One Nation Under God” whose motto is “In God We Trust.” If a perfectly formed fetus can be sacrificed on the alter of convenience, why not an imperfectly formed child, or adult for that matter? Impossible? A look at recent history will convince the reader that nothing is impossible. My study of the past has convinced me that there is no limit to the depths of depravity that mankind is willing to descend in order to get what he wants. L.J.
