Whether it is enforced by secular authorities or by the Lord God Himself, mankind resents governance (external control of individual behavior). While reading about the many so-called “freedom marches” that have taken place over the past several months I saw a picture of a 20-foot-long, 3-foot-wide sign that read: “WE WILL NOT BE GOVERNED.” It was being carried by a half dozen or so men as they marched down a big city street with hundreds of people following them and showing their support for what was written on the sign. That sign was, and continues to be, the unspoken mantra of millions of people who want to “defund the police.” These are they who burn down police stations and elect people who want to do away with law altogether in order to have the freedom to do what these anarchists want to do. What they want to do was shown on t.v. screens, magazines and newspapers as anarchists burned, looted and destroyed the livelihoods, hopes and dreams of strangers–AS THE POLICE LOOKED ON HELPLESSLY. THEY COULD NOT DO WHAT THEY WERE HIRED TO DO BECAUSE CITY MAYORS ORDER THEM TO “STAND DOWN.” In those situations the anarchists were given total freedom. But how much freedom do the victims of those “freedom fighters” have today? How much freedom do the people of Afghanistan have now that the lawless Taliban is in control? Each man with a gun does whatever he wants to do to whomever and whatever he chooses because THERE IS NO LAW TO GOVERN HIS ACTIONS. What we are seeing in Afghanistan and America’s liberal cities is what happens when God’s Law is rejected. We in Western Civilization are only seeing and experiencing the early waves of such anarchy. A glance at our southern border reveals that what we are experiencing today are merely “the beginning of sorrows” (Mat. 24:1-4) on the social behavior level. Why is all this happening? This website is dedicated to answering that question.
The fact is that man has always been, is and will always be under law. The only question is: whose law? Every human being has a god whom he/she obeys. We are controlled either by God or by Satan. Therefore, there is no such thing as an atheist. Satan stays out of the limelight by allowing man to be his own mini-god. As Jesus told him in Matthew 16:23: “Get behind Me Satan, for you are not interested in the things of God, but rather in THE THINGS OF MAN.” The devil wants self-centered man to do as he wishes–to please himself. Jesus compared those who serve both Him and Satan (Sinners Saved By Grace)–to vomit (Rev. 3:14-20).
Our national, state and local laws are founded on the Laws of God as written in His Holy Scriptures. A society can only exist in some level of peace and freedom as long as God’s Law is in effect, at least to a significant degree.
When God’s Law is rejected (nailed to the cross), bad things happen. For example, Portland happens, Seattle happens, Baltimore happens, Detroit happens, Chicago happens. I rarely wax political, but I will mention that all of those cities, as well as all of the other anarchic, crime-saturated metropolitan areas in this nation, are run by democrats. One need only read the history of ancient Israel to see what happens when a people refuse to live by God’s Law. Modern America, led by Satan’s Catholic/Protestant Church System, has nailed His Law to the cross. The result of the nation’s rejection of that Law (and therefore Him and His Son–Lk. 10:16) dominates the morning, noon, evening and late night news. Gird your loins, dear readers, it will get worse. Why? BECAUSE MAN HATES GOD’S LAW. And remember, IT WAS “THE CHURCH” THAT NAILED HIS LAW TO THE CROSS. The unchurched are doing what they have always done. They are following in the church’s footsteps. Which proves the truth of the following: AS GOES THE CHURCH, SO GOES THE NATION.
One of the many problems man has dealt with relative to God’s Law concerns the fact that He created two Laws known as “the Law of God” and “the law of Moses” respectively. The law of Moses has two parts: the “Statutes and Judgments” and the “ritual, sacrificial law.” Because all three were declared null and void by professing Christendom, church people refuse to search out God’s Word on the subject. In this series we are going to correct that self-inflicted error.
When I bring up a subject involving the Law I am greeted with ridicule. I am reminded by churchites that the law was done away with by Jesus upon His death. I am asked such questions as: “When are you going to sacrifice your bull?” Or I am accused of having “fallen from grace.” Or I am invited to attend a real church where the real truth is preached so that I can “get saved.”
Adolf Hitler said that if a lie is repeated often enough it will become truth because it becomes the will of those who hear it. In Scripture this phenomenon is called “will worship” (Col. 2:23). The Catholic/Protestant Church is functioning proof that Hitler was right. THE CHURCH HAS BECOME TOTALLY SUBSERVIENT TO HER OWN WILL. Be reminded that Hitler and his ilk were extremely religious. His SS soldiers wore belt buckles on which were engraved these words: GOD IS WITH US. Which is what the church says about herself as she looks down on God’s Very Elect.
A problem concerning professing Christendom and her relationship with the Law involves the identification of the “Law of God” (or the “Law of the Lord”) and the “law of Moses,” neither of which was done away with by Jesus at His death. Let us go to God’s Word–the source of all Spiritual Truth–in order to distinguish between those laws and to determine what part they play, if any, in the life of the true Christian today.
In Luke 2:22-24 we find both the “Law of the Lord” and the “law of Moses” mentioned in the same sentence: “And when the days of her (Mary’s) purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought Him (Jesus) to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord: (As it is written in the Law of the Lord, ‘Every male that opens the womb will be called holy to the Lord’) ….” Both laws were mentioned. Are they different? or are they one and the same? If they are different, how are they different?
The first Truth we need to note is that ALL BIBLICAL LAW COMES FROM GOD. The Apostle James makes this clear in 4:12: “There is one Lawgiver Who is able to save and to destroy ….” God is the ultimate Lawgiver, Who gave it to the Word (Who became Jesus), Who gave it to His prophet and apostles who recorded it for His church). Technically, all Law recorded in the Bible came from the Almighty. Though part of the law is called the “law of Moses,” Moses was not the author of it. Moses merely relayed to the people the Law God had already established. L.J.
