Upon becoming a parishioner in Satan’s Counterfeit Church system, his false prophets assure his captives that they need only “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved” instantly and permanently (Acts 16:31). What they are not told is that two words in that passage (“shall be”–future) render their theology a lie, and not merely a lie, but a deadly lie. What their leaders fail to tell them is that believing on the Lord Jesus Christ does not save the soul, that there are conditions (caveats) that must be met in order to receive eternal life at the return of Jesus Christ. Because seekers are not commanded to “study to show yourself approved of God,” (2 Tim. 2:15), they never learn that truth. Truth seekers who diligently study God’s Word are shocked to learn that the Lord Himself causes false Christians–those who do not love His Truth enough to study it–to embrace the “only believe” lie (2 Thes. 2:10-12). The purpose of this ministry is to alert the Institutional Church about Satan’s lies that that are put forth as God’s Truth.
John’s first epistle to the church exposes these deadly lies like no other. “The disciple whom Jesus loved” was given special insight into the workings of the devil and the Lord’s response to his soul-killing religious system that infects billions of people around the world. Bible studiers know that we were warned about this great deception by Jesus Christ Himself in Matthew 24:1-5. When the disciples asked Him about the signs that would indicate His soon return to earth the first thing He said was “Take heed that no man deceive you.” He warned that many false prophets would rise up among them and would declare that He, Jesus of Nazareth, was indeed the Christ, and would deceive many. Jesus was warning those who truly seek Him to “take heed,” to diligently be on the look-out for the “angel of light’s” “ministers of righteousness” (2 Cor. 11:15) who would lead the masses astray while declaring themselves to be the servants of the Biblical God. Those who believe and follow them are called the church. This ministry is dedicated to exposing those cults for what they are–citadels of false religion led by the rider on the white horse who has gone out “conquering and to conquer” those who seek the Biblical God (Rev. 6:2). His success can be determined by looking in any phone book under the heading: CHURCHES. John’s first epistle exposes the church’s heathen doctrines like no other. Let us return to it in order to receive Truth from the only Declarer of spiritual Truth.
First, let us remind ourselves that what is written in the Holy Bible is the Word of God Himself spoken by His prophets and apostles: “Holy men of old spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit of God” (2 Pet. 1:21). God spoke to them through His Spirit. They in turn spoke and recorded what they heard “for our instruction” (1 Cor. 10:11). “Our” refers to God’s Very Elect who would be living in the “latter days.” In First John 1:3,4 the apostle tells the people “what we have seen and heard” during the time they were with the Lord Jesus Christ. In verse five he summarizes all that they had seen and heard: “This is THE MESSAGE which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light, and IN HIM IS NO DARKNESS AT ALL.” “Light” denotes holiness while “darkness” denotes sin. Notice that there is no darkness (sin) in Him “AT ALL.” So where does this leave those who call themselves “sinners saved by grace” who claim to be saved because they believe in Him? Verses six and seven answer the question. But before we go there let’s look at what John tells us in chapter two verse six: “He that says he abides IN HIM (Jesus) must also walk (speak, think, act) as He walked” while on earth as a man. The rest of First John proves that in order to be saved and to join Jesus at the end of the age one must emulate His life (Rev. 3:21).
In verse six God says through John that if we say we are His people, then continue to sin, we are liars. Note that in Revelation 21:8 God says that ALL LIARS will burn in the Lake of Fire. This includes all who call themselves Christians while continuing to sin.
Verse seven is an eye-opener for Truth seekers. Here the Almighty says that IF we walk in light as He is in the light (“walk as He walked”), He forgives our sins. Note that the walking comes before the forgiving. This is brought out again in Romans 3:25 where He promises to forgive our PAST sins, but only if we prove true repentance. We can prove true repentance only by keeping sin out of our lives following repentance. This means that if we continue to sin after repenting, GOD DOES NOT FORGIVE OUR PAST SINS. Instead, we “treasure up (accumulate) for ourselves” all of our past sins until the Day of Judgment (Rom. 2:5). God’s Word destroys the belief that we are infected by Adam’s sin gene and therefore must sin. And being unable to help ourselves, we need only repent and all will be well. L.J.
