First John: God’s Caveat For All Who Seek Eternal Life (Pt. 2)

In my opinion, the most important book in the Holy Bible is the Apostle John’s first letter to the Church of God, whom he calls his “little children” (2:1). I place this epistle on the highest of pedestals because in it the Lord tells the salvation seeker in Words that are stark, commanding and sharper-than-any-two-edged-sword what he/she must DO in order to qualify to live forever with God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I state the following with total, God-issued authority: Unless the salvation seeker knows, believes and obeys this epistle he/she cannot be part of the Body of Christ in this age. This being the case, he/she will not join Jesus in the air at His Second Coming, will not descend with Him to the Mount of Olives, will not walk with Him into Jerusalem where He will establish the Kingdom of God on earth and will not serve along side Him in ruling the universe forever. See God’s Very Elect–Future Caretakers of the Universe and The Resurrections.

That the “disciple whom Jesus loved” is one of the church’s favorite New Testament writers is obvious. The first verse most of us learned upon being introduced to the Bible is John 3:16. The problem with this introduction is that the relationship never grows beyond this point. Upon accepting the verse as true, one is declared “saved” and “born again,” thereby ending any need to grow in faith and Truth as the Lord commands. For this reason church people never spiritually mature out of the infant stage. Because they are not commanded by their equally immature leaders to grow in grace and Truth, all in Catholicism/Protestantism continue to dine at their mothers’ (the church’s) breast. Having never been introduced to God’s “strong meat,” they go to their deaths believing that they have received all of the nourishment they need for salvation (Heb. 5:12-14). The Lord declares in Isaiah 28:9,10 that the only ones who are able to learn His Truth and walk in it are those who are “weaned from the milk and drawn from the breast.” These, He tells us, will study His Word judiciously with 1) faith in His Word and 2) obedience to it. All other worshipful endeavors, He tells us in Matthew 15:9, are in vain because they are not done in obedience to His Word, but rather according to the “commandments of men.” See the Introduction to this website for a list of such church commandments, each of which has been borrowed from the heathen world in obedience to its many gods. I will end this posting with two warnings straight from God Himself: “Unto whom much is given, much is required” (Lk. 12:48); “He who knows to do the right and does not do it, to him it is sin” (Jam. 4:17). The information I will be presenting over the coming days will come from the mouth of God Who recorded it for “our instruction” (1 Cor. 10:11). What the reader will find is Truth–the Word of the Almighty (Jn. 17:17). Over the following days I will be writing “much” of what is “right.” Having this knowledge, the reader must then meet God’s requirement of doing what he/she knows to be right. Knowing God’s Truth requires one to believe and obey it. In 99% of the cases, the Truths one will learn will be the exact opposite of what he/she has been taught in church by Satan’s false prophets. The ultimate question then becomes: WHOM DO YOU BELIEVE: GOD OR MAN? L.J.
