False Faith And Fuzzy Feelings–Christianity’s Counterfeit Foundations (Pt. 3)

As is always the case with God, there are conditions that must be met before any of His promises can be received. In actuality, all conditions can be summarized into one–OBEDIENCE TO HIS WORD. That Word, which is summarized in the Ten Commandments, is THE (only) foundation (Rock) upon which the true saint builds his life. Jesus is THE Rock of our foundation. Jesus is called “the Word of God.” The unchangeable Rock (Word) of God is the true saint’s foundation upon which he builds his “house.” Any other foundation is religious sand which can be manipulated into any shape (church, faith, congregation, etc.) one wants it to be. By building our spiritual “house” on that spiritual Rock, we develop spiritual, Christ-level faith which must be exhibited in order to receive eternal life. That faith comes from THE Word of God. As stated many times, EVERYTHING COMES BACK TO THE WORD OF GOD which Jesus said is God’s Truth (Jn. 17:17) which He gave to His prophets and apostles through the Holy Spirit.

Obedience to the Word of the Lord is the caveat that separates spiritual sheep from religious goats. When He proclaimed that “the just(ified) shall live by faith” (Rom. 1:17) He was not referring to faith (belief) in the fact of His existence. Alcoholics, prostitutes, drug addicts, thieves and murderers believe that He exists. Many carry Bibles and wear crosses to prove it. Many go to church every Sunday, can quote Scripture, etc.

However, the faith required by Romans 1:17 is built, not on belief in the Lord, but through obedience to His Word. True, salvation-producing faith requires both belief and obedience, without which salvation is not an option. The Biblical command to develop Christ-level faith by embracing God’s written Word is largely ignored by the Counterfeit Church (Catholicism/Protestantism). Romans 10:17 states: “So then faith comes by hearing … the Word of God.” Simply put, HAVING FAITH MEANS TAKING GOD AT HIS WORD. GOD COMMANDS THAT WE BELIEVGE WHAT HE SAID TO HIS PROPHETS AND APOSTLES WHO RECORDED HIS WORDS FOR OUR INSTRUCTION. FAITH WITHOUT ACCOMPANYING WORKS (OBEDIENCE TO HIS WORD) IS DEAD FAITH. WE PROVE OUR FAITH BY OUR WORKS (Jam. 2:17-20,24,26). OUR FAITH IS MADE PERFECT BY OUR WORKS (Jam. 2:22). Contrary to church opinion, FAITH ALONE CANNOT SAVE THE SOUL (Jam. 2:14).

The vast majority of professing Christendom (the focus of this ministry) refuse to believe the second chapter of the epistle of James. Martin Luther called the entire epistle a “straw book,” meaning that it was good only for starting fires. This so-called man of God compared God’s Words concerning works to kindling. He would have been very happy to see it ripped out of the Bible and burned. Church history proves that he was not alone. The vast majority of those who have languished in the mother whore and her harlot daughters over the past 2000 years have agreed with him. Only God’s “very elect,” His “remnant,” His “little flock” have stayed true to His Word.

One such pillar of professing Christendom, a former missionary, told me that obeying God was “… too much trouble.” Most churchites agree with her. If they are right, then there will be no one sitting with Christ on His throne in the Kingdom of God. This means that His sacrifice was meaningless. Let us see how God describes those who harbor such an opinion: “For if we sin willfully (by breaking God’s Law-1 John 3:4) after coming to know the Truth (God’s Word-Jn. 17:17) there is no more sacrifice for our sins.” Such a “sinner saved by grace” has “trodden under foot the Son of God, has counted the blood of the covenant wherewith he was sanctified an unholy thing and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace” (Heb. 10:29). The Apostle Paul goes on to write that only “AFTER we have done the will of God will we receive the promise” of salvation (vs. 36). God’s will is expressed in His Word. Only those who “work” His Word/will can be saved. L.J.
