In answering the rich man’s question concerning what he must DO (he already believed in Jesus) to inherit eternal life (Lk. 18:18), Jesus did not recite all Ten of the Commandments.  Those who pervert God’s gospel (Gal. 1:6-9) use this fact to “prove” that the Law is no longer in effect.  However, the Apostle James, speaking under the direction of the Holy Spirit (2 Pet. 1:21), noted that to break one commandment was to break all of the commandments–the entire Law from Genesis to Revelation.  Therefore, Jesus only needed to recite one of the commandments to make His point, that is that SINNERS (Law-breakers–1 Jn. 3:4) CANNOT BE SAVED.  Recall that Jesus told the salvation seeker: “ONE thing you lack”–he was not obeying ONE commandment.  Jesus was telling him that his ONE sin would prevent him from receiving salvation.  He went away sad because he refused to give up that ONE sin–lust.  His ONE sin, which he refused to give up, made him a sinner.  Sinners cannot be saved.  If one sin prevents salvation, what does this say about those who break the entire Law by rejecting God’s Sabbath?  Read The Mark of the Beast.  Use “Beast” as your key word.

As noted in the previous posting, one must prove his worthiness to receive salvation upon Christ’s return by walking in holiness during this life.  Staying in the sin-repent, sin-repent, sin-repent mode, which is one of the Institutional Church’s principle doctrines, will end in disaster.  Read Matthew 10:21,22/ 1 John 2:6; 3:3,8,10/ 1 Peter 4:17,18/ Romans 5:21; 6:2 and Revelation 3:21 for proof that one must meet God’s “doers of the Law” requirements during this life in order to be saved upon Christ’s return (Rom. 2:13/ Mat. 19:17).  The rich man met all the “doer” requirements except one–he refused to obey the Law, which made him a “worker of iniquity” whom Jesus vowed to reject at judgment (Mat. 7:23).  I have been zealously reprimanded by preachers and lay people alike for making such Biblical statements publicly and in print.  I was once corrected by a prison inmate whose mother had sent him a newspaper article I had written on the subject of the church’s heathenistic doctrines, practices and teachings.  See the Introduction to this website for a list of such abominations.  Receiving condemnation from the religious elite is proof positive that I am right.  Ministerial types chastising me personally is assuring.  But to have them publicly reject God’s Words on the air 24-7-365 is infuriating.  With God’s Words in their hands and Satan’s words in their hearts they condemn me for saying and writing what they claim to believe, all the while proclaiming that Satan’s false doctrines are in fact God’s Truths.  And to have their God-rejecting, Bible-toting, Scripture-quoting followers “amen” them is mind-boggling.  Honestly, you can’t make this stuff up.  One of the curses God places on people who refuse to believe and obey Him have “reprobate minds” (Rom. 1:28) because they are carnal and therefore God’s enemies (Rom. 8:7).  This perfectly describes the modern day church.  And Satan smiles.

The Lord’s empowering Holy Spirit came on God’s people on the day His New Testament Church came into being.  The commotion that 120 people speaking in dozens of languages they did not know caused thousands of people to rush to the building where they had gathered.  In answer to “What is happening,”  Peter’s explained.  The astonished people then asked: “What shall we do?” (Acts 2:27,28)  His answer: “REPENT and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission (forgiveness) of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2: 38).  As explained earlier, the Holy Spirit provides power to resist Satan’s call to sin.  WHEN ONE SINS ONE ANSWERS SATAN’S CALL TO OBEY HIM AND TO REJECT GOD’S CALL TO OBEY HIM.  Believing (having faith in) the gospel but refusing to obey it means that one has DEAD FAITH (Jam. 2).  Believing in Jesus without obeying His message (having dead faith) results in spiritual death now and physical death later.  Adam and Eve’s experience with the serpent is a perfect example of this Truth.

Jesus told those who followed Him to: “Repent and believe (and obey) the gospel.”  We must believe in Him as our Savior, believe His gospel–the good news about the coming Kingdom of God (Mat 4:23)–and obey His commands which will qualify us for entrance into it.  Recall that, following His resurrection He met with His disciples and for 40 days “taught them the things concerning the Kingdom of God” (Acts 1:3).  He taught them the same kingdom message He had preached for 3 1/2 years.  Those who would follow in their spiritual footsteps would do so by believing and obeying His message–TRUE FAITH IS BASED ON GOD’S WORD.  FAITH THEN LEADS THE FAITHFUL TO OBEY IT, WHICH PRODUCES HOLINESS, WHICH, IF MAINTAINED UNTIL THE END OF LIFE, LEADS TO SALVATION (Rom. 5:21; 6:22/ Mat. 10:22).  THERE IS NO OTHER PATH THAT LEADS TO ETERNAL LIFE.  This is God’s message to those who would spend eternity with him.  To deny this Truth is to mock Him.  God is not mocked.  What man sows he reaps in the form of God-sent curses.  He sows the wind and reaps the whirlwind.  God has cursed sinning man in the past.  His current curse is called COVID-19.

Have you noticed that God curses those who wear crosses, read Bibles, rub beads, pray, go to church, fast, genuflex, preach, etc. in the same way He curses those who do none of these things, but instead curse Him, ridicule Him and take His name in vain.  Note also that both groups are made ill at the same rate, suffer the same way, survive or die at the same rate.  Why does God treat both groups alike?  BECAUSE HE VIEWS THEM AS ONE ENTITY–SATAN’S CONGREGATION.  Whether self-professing Christians, Muslims, Hindus, sun, moon, star, animal, Satan worshipers–He views them all through His Bible prism and sees no difference among them.  The only difference He recognizes is between His true saints (light) and everyone else (darkness).  In the case of counterfeit Christians Jesus calls their darkness “great” because they claim to be His people (Mat. 6:23) and draw the Biblically ignorant into their citadels of sin.  Jesus tells those who follow Him while refusing to obey Him that their “light” is actually “darkness,” making it “great” darkness.

True Truth seekers must come out of the Counterfeit Church (darkness) and embrace His light (Holy Bible).  Spiritual light and darkness do not mix (2 Cor. 6:14-7:1).  L.J.
