An ago-old gem of wisdom reminds us that “One cannot depart from where one has never been.” This jewel of common sense is so obvious that even a child can understand it. Everyone in the human race having the capacity to reason would agree that the statement is true in the geographical realm. However, as the following study will reveal, there is no such agreement among church people in the spiritual realm. In fact, the exact opposite is declared to be “Bible Truth.”
Within the global Catholic/Protestant church system the accusation that one has “fallen from grace” has been applied to people of every denomination, faith, church, etc., and to parishioners ranging from the least religious to the most exalted. The irony is that neither the accuser nor the accused know the Biblical rule that governs a “fall from grace.” As a result, neither of them know who can and who cannot suffer such a “fall.” What’s more, neither the accuser nor the accused will take the time and expend the energy to learn the Lord’s rule for grace falling. Though accusations of having fallen from grace are plenteous and are thrown about with reckless abandon, the fact of the matter is that Biblically-defined falls from grace are rare due to the unchangeable requirement that governs the phenomenon, which is: IN ORDER TO FALL FROM GRACE ONE HAS TO HAVE BEEN IN GRACE–CONVERTED. Simply put: One cannot fall from a tree one has never climbed.
Continuing with the stated premise, in order for one to fall away from God (from grace) one must have at some point been one with God (under grace). According to Jesus Christ Himself, not many people ever have been, are now, nor ever will be one with the Father because few have answered, are answering or will answer His call to enter His strait gate and walk His narrow way to eternal life (Mat. 7:13,14). The Lord tells us that, though many are called, few are chosen for having answered His call to the righteousness necessary to inherit eternal life (Mat. 22:14). Incredibly, though the number who answer His call are minutely few, some of them fall under Satan’s spell and lose what they have gained. These few have truly “fallen from grace.”
I have spent the last two years or so warning people in the Institutional Church that they are not who and what they think they are. I find myself identifying with the Prophet Jeremiah who grew weary of telling the Israelites what I tell their spiritual descendants. Like Jeremiah who complained to God that no one was listening, I receive the same response when I make the same complaint: “Tell them anyway.” So I do. I honestly try to find something positive to say about the Counterfeit Church, but to no avail. Even the few truths she teaches are misquoted, misconstrued, misapplied, misinterpreted and taken out of context so as to scratch ears and tickle egos. So I will continue to warn the religious masses, just as did the prophets, the apostles and the Lord Jesus Himself. Those with ears to hear and eyes to see will do so. Others will go back to church.
