A phenomenon has been slowly and stealthily taking place over the past couple of generations that reveals the changing mindset of people in the more advanced,”first world” countries where the “information highway” allows most anything to be broadcast into the minds of the world’s citizenry on a 24-7 basis.  It’s all available with the click of a button.  And even little children are being equipped with those buttons.  The internet has become the world’s babysitter.  A recent poll showed that 30% of America’s three-year-old children have cell phones.  And there is no limit to what they can see and hear.  Nothing is off limits, except what the parents program into those phones.  The truth is that the majority of parents pay no attention to what their children are seeing and hearing.  Some of it is startling to my eighty-year-old ears.  Innocent children view Satan’s presentations as business as usual.

Information of every (and I mean EVERY) sort is available with the move of a digit.  Much of it is garbage that is literally “in the air,” the same air in which “the prince (Satan) of the powers (demons) of the air” live and operate.  In the final postings of this series we will examine the effects this flood of information and entertainment are having on the minds of not only children, but people of all ages who are so addicted to the internet’s offerings that they can’t tolerate being separated from their plastic “life source” (my term).  At the gym I watch them lift a weight with one hand while manipulating their “idiot box” with the other.  Some place their “external brain” on the floor and watch it while using an exercise machine.  People set around a restaurant table staring into their “life source” as if their fellow diners did not exist.  I assume they are communicating with each other on their machines.  If I were writing a book about them I would title it: The Zombie Generation: Life in a Box.  Satan is the father of this mind-manipulating program.  His helpers get people hooked on its offerings and keep them hooked.

Information/entertainment addiction is as powerful as drug addiction.  Some scientists classify it a drug because of the addictive dopamine effect it has on the brain.  Human beings are being programmed to crave ever more mental stimulation which the internet provides.  When television came into the world’s living rooms I remarked that the big ugly box, known as the “boob tube,” would be the world’s downfall.  I was wrong.  Television was simply the introduction to the world-wide web which has captured the collective mind (Biblical “heart”) of mankind.  Like many things, the web is not evil in and of itself.  I use it a great deal.  But like most things, it can be, and is being, used by Satan to corrupt the minds of the masses.  Let us now examine some of the ways the god of this world is using the web to gain and retain followers.  One will see that the web has surpassed the Institutional Church as his weapon of mass spiritual destruction.  Together they have become a formidable foe of all that is holy.

The civilized world is living a paradox.  Public polls reveal that while belief in Satan is decreasing, interest in the occult is increasing.  Television advertising offers proof of this truth.  This is the time of year when advertising for fall programming is flooding the screens.  Notice how many of the up-coming programs are featuring other-worldly themes in which ghosts, witches, zombies, super-human, part-human and non-human creatures are featured.  These “beings” are so brilliantly presented that they seem to be real.  Many children believe that the animated characters filling their screens are indeed real.

The occult has gone mainstream.  Witchcraft and other supernatural themes fill t.v., movie and hand-held screens.  As a result, spirit beings have become part of the family.  Magic, demon possession, animals with supernatural powers, zombies, vampires, witches, etc. have become as familiar as family members.  Children call them by name and tell about their exploits.  Book featuring these themes become overnight best sellers, as have the movies that are generated from them.  The Harry Potter series is a prime example.  As I stated earlier, that series is being used in some churches to teach children about the spirit world.  Which comes as no surprise to true believers.  Satan has had control of Catholicism/Protestantism for some 1900 years.  As I also stated, the only seance I ever attended was in a church.

Anyone who pays attention to what is going on in society knows that fascination with what is up there in “the cloud” is not limited to young people.  People of all ages are addicted to what can be pulled out of it and placed onto whatever screen into which they happen to be staring at the moment.  I recently read that teenagers spend anywhere from three to eight hours a day staring into their hand-held gadgets.  Some, the study showed, spend as many as twelve hours daily in a zombie-like stupor.  They have become the primary source of entertainment and information.  Teens use them mostly as a source of personal communication among themselves.  Many sleep with them so as not to miss a message during the night.  I have watched them continuously troll their machines for the latest word on who is doing what to whom, who said what, about what, why, etc.   Millennials (age 24-38) claim that such mental fare is good for “creating an open mind,” to “give clarity to one’s thinking” and to provide the “mental power” to understand and succeed in the intellectualized world in which they live.  Through it all, SATAN IS INJECTING HIMSELF INTO THE LIVES OF HIS HUMAN SUBJECTS.  You will notice that there isn’t much said or shown on those screens about God and His Word.  Surprisingly, my website has not been cancelled.  Only God can be keeping me afloat in “the cloud.”  I know that this is only a temporary situation.  The day will come when I will be cancelled.  The Lord speaks of this Truth in Amos 8:12 where He warns that a time is coming when men will run to and fro in search of His Word, but will not find it.  As we are told in Revelation 17, the church (symbolized as a woman) will still be in operation and will, with the Beast of Revelation 17, rule the whole of mankind.  But, as is the case today, God’s Word will not be a part of the one-world church.  In John 9:4 Jesus tells His apostles to work while there is light, for darkness is coming when no man can work.  It will be the powers of darkness–the prince of darkness and his apostles–who will cause this to happen.  And God will allow it because men love darkness more than light (Jn. 3:19).  I compel you to search the Scriptures (God’s light), for in them you find the path to salvation.  As the Apostle Peter said to Jesus, “You have the Words of eternal life” (Jn. 6:68).  Get on His Word path and stay on it.  Be warned, Satan will use every power he has to lure you off of it and onto his Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, occult, etc. path.  But the God of the Holy Bible tells us that the god of that path is the god of this world; the Christ of that path is the antichrist and the church of that path is the so-called “Christian” church.  Study ONLY the Holy Scriptures, for ONLY in Them can be found God’s true light.  L.J.
