The seeker of Truth must understand that Satan can perform miracles, preach great sermons, build global ministries, baptize masses, get legions saved, etc., etc.  A good example of Satan’s ability to copy God’s ways is what happened to Moses when he returned to Egypt to lead God’s people out of slavery as recorded Exodus 7,8.  Recall that when he and Aaron faced Pharaoh the first time Aaron threw down his staff and it became a snake.  Then Pharaoh’s magicians threw down their staffs and they became snakes.  Then Aaron’s snake ate their snakes.  Later, when god turned water into blood, the magicians did the same thing.  And when God made frogs cover the land, so did the magicians.  The first three miracles God did through Moses, Satan did through Pharaoh’s magicians.  And God allowed them to do it.

As I wrote in a previous series, God allows Satan to preach, perform miracles, etc. in order to test church people and those wanting to be part of the church.  In Deuteronomy 13:1-4 He warns that He will test us by allowing prophets to perform signs, wonders, miracles, etc. to see if we will follow the prophet in worshiping another god.  Today that would mean becoming Catholic or Protestant and following their respective doctrines and worshiping their god.  In verses 3,4 we are told that God “proves” us to see if we will love Him with all our hearts (minds) and souls (bodies).  He tests us to see if we will “walk after the Lord your God and fear Him, keep His commandments, obey His voice (Word), serve Him and cling to Him.”  In spite of His telling us this, in the vast majority of cases when God heals someone or allows Satan to heal someone or perform some other miracle, the recipient of the miracle, as well as those who know about it, “get religion” which involves joining a church or going to their church more often.  God intends for them to search deeper into His Word to learn more about Him.  Instead, they go deeper into church doctrine, believe it more deeply and obey it more often, which is what caused the problem in the first place.  This is the work of Satan and his demons.  Satan wants the religious masses to become part of his religious system which is comprised of Catholicism/Protestantism and all the other heathen “isms” he has placed on the earth.  He has been supremely successful in keeping salvation seekers away from the Biblical God.  For example, there are thousands of churches in the United States, only a minutely few have anything to do with the Biblical God.  In Matthew 4:4 Jesus said that His people obey EVERY WORD THAT COMES FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD.  Church doctrine comes from the mouth of another god–the god of this world (2 Cor. 4:4).  This ministry is dedicated to telling the false church this truth.  The Introduction to this website lists a number of false “truths” the church believes and obeys.

Throughout the world there are numerous religions, but only one god–Satan.  Through his demons he keeps those religions operating at full effect.  Incredibly, some 2 1/2 billion of those involved in Satan’s religious system believe that they are obeying the Biblical God.  Never underestimate the power of Satan.

Church people are prime targets for Satan’s wiles because they “know” they are saved, born again, etc.  Therefore, whatever they do in a religious sense is believed to be right.  A perfect example is the preacher who, when reminded that God condemns homosexuality, explained why he performed gay marriages: “God is doing a beautiful thing here.”  Another pastor responded to the same situation by announcing that he and his congregation were: “… going outside the Bible” for their truth.  What power could cause church people to defy God and believe that He approves of it?  What power could convince people to reject God’s Sabbath in favor of Satan’s sabbath, celebrate Christmas and Easter, join denominations, etc?–all in defiance of direct commands from the Almighty?  These examples reveal the effect Satan’s angels have on religious people.

Physical, mental, and emotional problems, phobias, sex deviance, addictions, etc. are caused by sin.  People sin by doing what demons tempt them to do–disobey God.  As I watch the frenzied activities of drug companies, doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, etc. as they try to deal with the current medical crisis I want to tell everyone involved that the cause of their problem is SIN.  So says the Lord in His Holy Bible.  But alas, sin is a personal choice, and no one wants to hear that his problems are of one’s own making.  Man’s physical, mental, social and economic problems are self-inflicted wounds.  God’s Biblical formula for life is: Man obeys Him–He blesses.  Man disobeys Him–He punishes.  This theme is repeated constantly from Genesis to Revelation.  Yet man refuses to take responsibility for the mess he has made by listening to and obeying Satan and his angels.  When asked why these things are happening, man replies that “It’s just the way life is.”  Which is true.  The question is, WHY is it “just the way life is?”  The answer is SIN.  Man will either obey the devil and his minions or obey the God of the Holy Bible.  Man, including churchman, obeys Satan and his fallen angels, then gets mad when shown what God says about it.  With the exception of God’s saints, the entire world bows to Satan’s temptations.  He people to him through his spiritual agents.  He reinforces their work through his false prophets who tell people what they want to hear–“smooth things, lies and deceits” (Isa. 30:10)?  Why do they prefer Satan’s false gospel over God’s true gospel?  Because Satan’s demons tell them to.  If the Lord is to be believed, the devil and his demons control the masses of mankind.  But we were warned.  Few, Jesus said, would believe His Father’s Words, enter His strait gate and walk His narrow way that leads to eternal life (Mat. 7:13,14).  Why do the masses choose Satan’s wide gate and broad way that leads to death?  You know.  L.J.
