Over the past several weeks my vision has been assaulted by a continuous montage of decorated stores, houses, yards, deer, sleighs, trees, nativity scenes, etc. while my ears have been attacked by an endless cacophony of meaningless songs extolling the virtues of Tammuz the heathen sun god who was born on December 25th.  In celebrating the birth of its god, the “Christian” world assures the rest of the heathen world that it embraces one of its many gods.  The first day of each week (Sunday–“the venerable day of the sun”) his worshipers gather to pay homage to him, pray to him, sings hymns to him and tithe to him.  Each year he returns on his birthday to leave presents beneath the trees (whether real or fake) his parishioners have brought into their homes and decorated in honor of his supposed birth.  This ritual was going on centuries before the birth of Jesus of Nazareth.

The Lord warns those who seek to live eternally with Him about this abomination in Jeremiah 10:1-5.  In no uncertain terms He forbids them to learn the ways of the heathen who cut trees out of the forest, erect them in their homes and decorate them with gold and silver ornaments in honor of Tammuz the sun god.  The Almighty again condemns the worship of and service to Tammuz in Ezekiel 27, calling him by name.  Here we find female worshipers in God’s Temple weeping over the death of Tammuz while the males bow toward the east as he “arises” from the “dead” to become the light of the world.  This ritual came to be known as a “sunrise service.”

Tammuz’ mother was Simiramus who gave herself the title of “Queen of Heaven.”  She was worshiped in numerous societies where she was known by a variety of names, one of which was “Ishtar,” which in English is rendered “Easter”–the “Goddess of Fertility” whose symbols were eggs and rabbits.  On an annual day in which they honored her son Tammuz, his worshipers sacrificed their children to him, using their blood to color the eggs.  I have seen a picture of a wooden statue of her discovered by archeologists.  The Goddess of Fertility was depicted as having numerous breasts.  I did not count them but there were at least half a dozen.

In 327 A.D. Roman Emperor Constantine declared that throughout the Roman Empire the Lord’s Passover would no longer be observed.  Rather, the heathen holiday called Easter would be celebrated on Sunday in honor of the sun worshipers who had “converted” to Catholicism at the point of a Roman sword.  At that time that the king also declared the existence of the “trinity” in honor of a three-headed god some of the church’s “converts” worshiped.

The church’s Christmas and Easter holidays, along with her Trinity belief, are abominations to the Lord for they are of heathen origin, as are numerous other beliefs and customs she proclaims to be dictated by the Biblical God.  These Babylonian/Chaldean acts and beliefs continue to be practiced by those in “the church” in spite of His command to honest God seekers  to “come out” of her, to “touch not” that “unclean thing.”  They must then “cleanse themselves” of the all of the filthiness they had embraced while they had been involved with her.  Once cleansed, they are then to create holiness within themselves in fear of Him (2 Cor. 5:14-7:1), which can only be accomplished by having faith in and obeying the Word of God, thereby becoming “a peculiar people who are zealous of good works” (Titus 2:14).

Holiness cannot be created in the Institutional Church, for those within her have believed the lie that they need not, because they cannot create holiness within themselves by obeying God’s Word, which is impossible.  Sin, church people proclaim, is an inevitable part of the Christian life.  But Jesus has saved the day for them.  Because of His death they need only confess their sins and repent of them.  His blood, they have been told by Satan’s false prophets, covers their sins so that He sees only Christ’s righteousness.  As one preacher said, “God can’t see trough the blood.”  Another bastion of the counterfeit church said, “God doesn’t like sin, but He won’t do anything about it.  So don’t worry about sin, He’ll forgive it.”  After all, as one famous preacher said, church people are “… just a society of sinners.”  Does that not also define the rest of the world.  According to “church truth,” there are two groups of people on earth: church sinners and world sinners.  In God’s eyes there is only one difference between the two.  This difference makes church sinners more evil than nonchurch sinners.  The deadly difference between the two groups is that CHURCH SINNERS HAVE THE HOLY BIBLE AND HAVE ACCESS TO GOD’S TRUTH ABOUT HOLINESS AND SIN.  The Institutional Catholic/Protestant Church, which proclaims her right to sin and get away with it, is owned and operated by Satan.  Numbering some 2.5 billion, she wars against God continuously.  This great, globe-encircling church is fake, counterfeit and deadly.

God’s true saints, His holy, peculiar kingdom of priests, His Very Elect know His word, believe it and obey it–just as did their spiritual example, Jesus of Nazareth Who owns and operates it.  Numbering only a few thousand world-wide, they war continuously against God’s premiere enemy.  This tiny, rejected church is the real Body of Christ.  L.J.
