Did God Fulfill The Law By Nailing It To The Cross? (Pt. 3)

Law-deniers go to great lengths to justify Law-breaking. Using the Law itself, God goes to equally great lengths to show that the Law-nailed-to-the-cross doctrine is not merely wrong, but deadly wrong. One such example is found in Matthew 22:34-40 where Jesus was asked which was the most important commandment in the Law. He replied that the first in importance was commandment number one. The second was commandment number two. Number one involves the first four commandments which tells us to love God. Number two orders us to love our fellow human beings. Jesus concluded His answer by stating that, “On these two commandments hang all the Law and (the teachings of) the prophets.” The meaning of Christ’s reply is clear to those who “Study (the Bible) to show yourself approved by God” (2 Tim. 2:15) and who “Prove all things” (concerning God’s Word)–1 Thessalonians 5:21. The first and greatest command of the ten involves man’s relationship with His Maker. The second involves man’s relationship with man. The two commandments comprise the foundation upon which the Ten Commandment Law rests. Every human relationship, every sin, every incidence of righteousness that a human can be involved in is covered in the Ten Commandments. “But the commandments Jesus referred to were His other commands, not the Law,” is a common refrain voiced by Law-deniers when confronted by Bible Truth. IF IT IS WRITTEN IN THE HOLY BIBLE IT IS GOD’S LAW. The Ten Commandments are the entire Bible condensed into ten rules for righteous living.

That the “Law” and the “commandments” referred to by Jesus of Nazareth refer to the Ten Commandments is proved by numerous Scriptures, two of which are Romans 2:21-23 and Mark 10:17-22 where Paul and Jesus respectively recite several of the commandments relative to obtaining eternal life. These passages are backed up by the Apostle John in 1 John 3:4 where he defines sin as “the transgression (breaking) of the Law.” The final outcome of sin being spiritual and physical death (Rom. 6:23), eternal life will come only to those who obey all ten of God’s commandments, including #4–the Sabbath commandment. In James 2:10 we are told that to break one of the ten is to break all ten. There will be no Law-breakers in the Kingdom of God in that Law-breaking=iniquity. Jesus said He would reject all “workers of iniquity” at judgment (Mat. 7:23). Due to the edict of Roman Emperor Constantine in 326 A.D., the so-called “church” exalts Satan on his Sabbath day (Sunday) by worshiping Tammuz the heathen sun god.

God said many times in the Scriptures that those who love Him will prove their love by obeying His Ten Commandment Law which is necessary for eternal life. “He who does the will of god has (eternal) life (1 Jn. 2:17). This being true, the opposite is also true: he who does not obey God’s Law does not have life. But the church proclaims that we need “only believe” to receive eternal life instantly. Faith, we are told by Satan’s ministers, nullifies the Law. God destroys this false doctrine in Romans 3:21 where He, through Paul, asks: “Do we make void (nullify) the Law through faith? GOD FORBID. We establish the Law” by our faith in the fact that by obeying it will qualify us for salvation.

God said in Jeremiah 31:31-33 that He would establish His Law in the hearts of His people. Then in Hebrews 8:8-12 Paul states the He did it. See Who and Where is Israel Today? Few people believe these Scriptures even while claiming to know God. This same God speaks to their deadly error in 1 John 2:4: “He who says ‘I know Him’ and does not keep His commandments is a liar.” All liars, that same God tells us in Revelation 21:8, will burn in the Lake of Fire. This is God’s Word and it is Truth, just as Jesus said in John 17:17. He also said that to reject His Word and those who preach it is to despise both Him and His Father (Lk. 10:16). He also said that mankind will be judged by His Words (the Law–the Holy Bible–Jn. 12:48).

Was God’s stone-etched Law nailed to the cross? Billions of people say “Yes.” What do you say? L.J.
