In Genesis 6:5 Moses makes this statement: “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Worldly man’s total rejection of God and churchman’s selective rejection of most of His Truth (Word-Jn. 17:17) reveal that nothing has changed since those days. Anciently, the Lord sent the Noahic Flood and destroyed the totality of humanity except for Noah and his family–eight people in all. In looking back on His reaction to sin we must not forget that “God is no respecter of persons” (Acts 10:34). What He does for or to one He does for or to anyone under the same circumstances. Just as the Book of Genesis tells us what He did to men of old because of their sins, the Book of Revelation tells us what He will do to modern men because of their sins. He used the Great Flood as the expression of His wrath the first time. His future expression of anger will be called the Great Tribulation. Anciently, only eight people survived. One can only guess how many will survive next time. The Scriptures tell us how many people will die in terms of fractions of the world’s population. However, we do not know how many people will be alive when the Great Tribulation begins. There are over seven billion people existing on earth today. We know by Scripture that most of the world’s population will not survive the terror to come. Because all will die if Jesus does not intervene, He promised to do so, going so far as to identify those He will return to earth to save from destruction: “But for the elect’s (true saints’) sake those (tribulation) days shall be shortened” (Mat. 24:22). Jesus will intervene in man’s self-destruction in order to save His “little flock” whom He will have taken to “her place”–a place of safety at the beginning of the tribulation (Rev. 12:6,14). There they will live in safety as the world explodes around them.

What happens to us individually in the future depends solely on how we conduct our lives in the present–by how completely we die to self and to the world. My commission from the Lord is to bear witness of His death commands to the Institutional Church–His primary mission field. It is my prayer that readers of this website and watchers of the YouTube site (proveallthingsofgod) will perform the commanded double death in this life in order to gain eternal life in the future.
