In 2007 I read a prophecy given by David Wilkerson, who, until his horrific and untimely death, was one of the world’s most revered preachers. In this prophecy God showed him what was going to soon happen to the world because of the “wind” (sin) mankind has been sowing for 6000 years. The “whirlwind” (Hos. 8:7) God promised to send sin-ladened man has arrived in the form of multiple curses that have come together in a spiritual “perfect storm.” We are just now experiencing the “… beginnings of sorrows” that Jesus prophesied would afflict mankind in the latter days. He writes about this in the 24th chapter of Matthew, Leviticus 26, Deuteronomy 28, Daniel 8 and the Book of Revelation. I will not address in detail the many terrors the world, including the church world, will endure during the Biblically prophesied two and one/half years called the Great Tribulation (Mat. 24:21) which, following a short lull, will be followed by the Great and Terrible Day of the Lord (Joel 2:11,31) that will last one year. I have never doubted that Wilkerson’s proclamation was given to him by the Almighty. In this posting I want to focus on the part of Wilkerson’s prophecy that, according to God, the self-professed church got wrong.
First of all I will address the Biblically ignorant or unbelieving “ministers of righteousness” who vehemently claim that the kind, gracious, loving God of the Bible would “never do such things to His most cherished creation, especially those who have “accepted Jesus as their Savior.” Wrong on both counts. The core problem concerns the basic falsity put forth by the churches–that those inside them are God’s people. They are not. Unless, as we are told, He lied. From pulpit and podium, from t.v. and the internet, from the radio and the street preacher, from signs along the highway to leaflets left on park benches, we are repeatedly told by thousands of false prophets that THE GOD WHO SAVED THEM IS AN INVETERATE LIAR. If what we hear and read is right, God has replaced Satan as the Chief of Liars. See the Introduction to this website for proof.
Let us now focus on the part of Wilkerson’s prophecy, along with the Word of God, the whole of professing Christendom has gotten wrong relative to God’s wrath that is being poured out on the world. The religious masses have been assured that when the Great Tribulation arrives the fix will be in for anyone belonging to “the _______ church” (fill in the blank), whose members will be snatched up in a secret “rapture” and be taken directly to heaven. This miracle will supposedly take place just before the Tribulation begins. Strangely, within church circles the “Day of the Lord” which God tells us will follow the Tribulation, is never mentioned. This one year period of unmatched terror will make the previous two and a half years of Tribulation pale by comparison. As the Scriptures reveal, the Tribulation will be the time when Satan pours out his wrath on mankind. The Day of the Lord will be the year when God will pour out His wrath on those who will not have taken part in the first resurrection. The first resurrection will take place upon Christ’s Advent at which time He will set up the Kingdom of God. Those who were resurrected will meet Him in the air, be born again, then descend with Him to the Mount of Olives (Zech 14:4/ Acts 1:9-12). Upon their arrival the newly born again saints (see Born Again currently on page 152) will enter Jerusalem where they will rule and reign with Christ over the earth for 1000 years (Zech. 14:4/ Rev. 20:6). It is to Jerusalem, not heaven, that Christ will take His “few” true saints (Mat. 7:13,14). As I prove in the series called “The Rapture,” there will not be one. As I prove in Life After Death: What, When, Where? (page 148) the only human who has or will ever live in heaven is Jesus of Nazareth. Those who believe in the rapture ruse use 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 to “prove” its sure arrival. See The Rapture currently on page 137. Series page numbers will continue to change to higher numbers as I write more postings.
In my case, that Wilkerson’s prophecy was given to him by the Lord, and that it would soon come to pass were never in doubt. The error within the prophecy involves the reaction of those whom Wilkerson called “God’s people.” He was referring to those within so-called “Christianity.” Those who know and believe God’s Word know that church people are not in fact God’s people, but are those whom Satan has deceived into believing they are. Just as he did to Adam and Eve, he has convinced the whole of professing Christendom that they are “saved,” and can therefore sin and “… not surely die.” Calling themselves “sinners saved by grace,” they are assured by their god that the fix is in for them–next stop: HEAVEN. Truly, Satan has deceived the whole world (Rev. 12:9).
The question that invariably arises when the unconverted are used by God to do his bidding. In this case, why would He use a false prophet to tell the world what is coming in this present time? God has consistently used heathen to do His will, and used them in a variety of ways. For example, He used the Assyrians and Babylonians to defeat, slaughter and enslave the Israelites–His chosen people. He used Jeroboam to punish Israel after her split with the Judahites (nicknamed “Jews” by the King James translaters). He used Solomon to build His Temple. He used an ass to chastise a priest. He used Judas to preach the gospel, heal the sick, cast out demons and ultimately to betray Jesus. He used me to heal the sick and cast out demons long before I was converted. During that time I received visions and dreams from Him, each of which came true. God is not Who and What we are told He is. For example, would God deceive those who call them His people? Indeed He would, and did. In 2 Thessalonians 2:11 the Apostle Paul says that God sends “strong delusion” to those who refuse to obey His Word, causing them to believe a lie. We must not place God into a church-built box constructed of church doctrine, which is her perverted version of God’s gospel (Gal. 1:6-9). The only “box” the Lord’s people place Him in is the Holy Bible–His Truth (Jn. 17:17), which is the opposite of the “truth” put forth by the Counterfeit Church–Catholicism/Protestantism.
Well-deserved punishment has been poured out on sinning mankind for 6000 years, beginning in the Garden of Eden. God promised that as the final era of man’s self-rule–the “times of the Gentiles”–came to an end He would bring forth a final outpouring of woe that would be worse than all other outpourings combined.
When the world explodes, only the righteous will be saved, and they just barely (1 Pet. 4:17,18). Those few true saints–God’s “remnant,” His “Very Elect,” His “peculiar treasures,” His “church (“called out ones)” who had “come to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” will have been taken to a place of safety, called “her place,” where God will protect and provide for them over the 3 1/2 years of terror that will be falling on sinners.
