From the time of God’s founding of the United States of America as His modern day “light to the world” there has been a remnant of true believers who have served as a spiritual “dam” that, generation after generation, has maintained her Biblical standards while striving to keep at bay the ever-increasing tide of people trying to turn her away from God.  These spiritually rugged souls have stood against those who would try to make this country like the world in which she exists.  Numbering only in the hundreds, these precious souls spoke out against the worldly mind-set that would eventually overcome, first the church, then the nation.  Over time God’s remnant of true believers shrank in size while the number of Satan’s followers increased.  But still God’s people fought against the tide, and in some cases, prevailed.  Though this is not well known, there was a time when God’s true saints in the New World that would become the United States of America continued to observe His 7th day (Saturday) Sabbath.  Knowing that the celebration of Christmas was a heathen activity, they worked to make the observance illegal, and for a while they prevailed.

However, as God’s true saints died off they were not replaced one for one.  Over time His true saints disappeared from social view.  Today within the hundreds of millions of Americans there can be found only a few thousand dedicated souls whom God calls His remnant, His little flock, His nation of priests, His peculiar people (1 Pet. 2:9/Titus 2:14).  After all, who wants to be called “peculiar,” like Jesus of Nazareth?  People tend to reject those unlike themselves.  I recall that Jesus and His apostles were killed for being different.  The prophets did not fare much better.  I have received hate mail, hate calls and hate emails.  In each case, the hater professed to being a “Christian.”

For several generations God’s people managed to hold back the floodwaters of sin and degradation that always develop when human beings turn away from Him.  For example, it didn’t take long (one short conversation) for Satan to convince Adam and Eve to turn against their Maker.  Unfortunately, America has followed in their spiritual footsteps.  For the first few generations following her founding the Lord’s tiny group managed to keep the nation relatively on course through holy living, prayer and fasting.  But as was the course following the Eden debacle, man, with minutely few exceptions, has succeeded in corrupting his fellow man, many of whom manage to maintain a facade of religiosity.  As a result, the only difference between “the church” and the world around it is where its members spend a couple of hours on Sunday morning.

As the church’s apostasy (falling away) from the Biblical standard continued to gather steam, the “dam” holding back the tidal wave of sin began to give way.  This collapse of holy resolve evolved through seven chronological stages: Stage 1) sin was rejected within the church because it was condemned by God in His Word.  Stage 2) sin was allowed to enter the church because it brought sinners inside where they could “get saved.”  Stage 3) the leaven leavened the loaf.  Stage 4) sin became no longer sin.  Stage 5) sin became the law of the land.  Stage 6) those who continued to identify sin as sin were rejected as heretics.  Stage 7) Satan gained total control of the church, which perfectly defines the Catholic/Protestant counterfeit church that continues to infect the earth with her perverted gospel (Gal. 1:6-9).  Read Isaiah 5:40.

Because God’s Law of life was supposedly nailed to the cross, new laws were forced into the public domain by those who neither knew nor wanted to know the ways of the Lord.  As His Word became less important, each generation of Americans put ever more distance between themselves and their Creator, culminating in Satan’s coup de gras–Roe v Wade–which gave women the right to murder their unborn children.  Following this mind-numbing debacle the “dam” suffered more damage when the supreme court struck down the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) which defined marriage as the union of one man and one woman.  When that happened I predicted that gay marriage would soon be legalized nationally and that sex acts would become normal fare on t.v. and in the movies.  I also predicted that the majority of Americans, including church people, would revel in their ever-increasing freedom from God’s restrictive commands.  As I stated in an earlier posting, a national poll revealed that over half of those who call themselves “Evangelicals” believe that a woman has the right to murder her unborn child.  And these are supposedly God’s true believers, His storm troopers, His special forces.  On Tuesday May 3 I watched and heard the President of the United States say that, quote: “A woman should be able to decide if she wants to keep her child,” unquote.  Read that again and weep with me for the millions of innocent babies American tax dollars have helped to murder, rip from their mother’s wombs, slice up and sell to the highest bidder.  My God, My God please come quickly and save us from those who hate You.

Over time true believers have watched as, first the church, then the nation gradually took on a life-style normally found in the most heathenistic of societies.  Read the Introduction to this website for some examples relative to the church.  Turn on the t.v. for examples outside the church.  The demise of the church, and consequently the nation, has been taking place for several generations and has gained speed over time.  The Catholic Church’s wholesale embrace of heathenism during the time of the Roman Empire was a major blow.  The refusal of the so-called Protestant Revolution to reject Catholicism’s heathen beliefs and practices delivered another deadly blow.  Let it be known that the “protesters” did not leave the mother church over doctrines, beliefs and customs.  They left because of the personal sins of the priests who were involved in such things as the selling of indulgencies, sex with nuns, homosexuality, etc.  As the Introduction to this website reveals, the so-called Protestants took many of the mother church’s heathen beliefs and practices with them when they left in “protest.”

More recently, Woodstock, with its emphasis on unrestricted sex, sent the nation into a sex-crazed frenzy from which it has not recovered.  Movies, t.v. programs, commercial ads, books, magazines, internet offerings, etc. attest to this fact.  Sex does indeed sell–everything and anything.  Next came Roe v Wade which has resulted in the murder of innocents numbering in the tens of millions.  The church’s early on rejection of God’s Word, followed by Woodstock, then Roe v Wade, followed by the repeal of the DOMA weakened the Lord’s “dam” until it was on the verge of collapse.  Then, on June 26, 2015 it gave way when same-sex marriage became the law of the land.  At that point America told the God she reportedly is “under” and in Whom she supposedly “trusts” to, as I have previously stated, “… sit down and shut up.”  However, His Son will one day judge His enemies according to His Father’s Word (Jn. 12:44-50).  He will return to earth as His Father’s prosecuting attorney, judge, jury and executioner.  People expecting the Lamb of God will find themselves facing The Lion of the Tribe of Judah (Rev. 20:12/Mat. 7:23 15:9/Lk. 6:46).  One of the first recipients of His attention will be the two-headed religious counterfeit beast known as Catholicism and Protestantism.  Read 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1.  L.J.
