In 2 Timothy 3:16 we find the Apostle Paul reminding his young protege’ of the vital importance of God’s Word: “ALL SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of God (spoken by Him through His Holy Spirit), and is profitable for DOCTRINE, for REPROOF, for CORRECTION and for INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS.” The first thing God gave to mankind as His road map to His kingdom was His Word in verbal form. But man had a tendency to hear what he wanted to hear, therefore God arranged for His Word to be printed, and commanded that not one of His Words, not so much as a jot or tittle be changed. Not one Word was to be removed from or added to His covenant with man which He arranged to be recorded by His prophets and apostles. This was necessary because it is ONLY through His written Word that man knows His will. The Lord identifies with His Word (Jn. 1:1-4,14/Rev. 19:13); He does not change (Mal. 3:6/Jam. 1:17), which means that His Word does not change, which is why He prohibits man from changing or interpreting it (2 Pet. 1:20). Question: Why did God go to such great lengths to tell man how to enter His kingdom? Answer: Love. God is love (1 Jn. 4:16). Love identifies and characterizes Him. Through His Love Letter to man (His Bible) He expresses His love by showing man how to qualify to spend eternity with Him and His Son.
God is the original and ultimate LIFE-GIVER. His ultimate goal is that all men be saved (Jn. 3:16)–inherit eternal life. But man has a choice–he can obey or disobey God’s commands. When man disobeys God, his Maker does not immediately cast him aside, but rather tries to woo him back to Himself, first with His Word, then, if that fails, by way of curses/warnings. He gave us His Word as a tool for REPROOF and CORRECTION so that we will recognize our sins, repent, turn and thereafter walk in RIGHTEOUSNESS, the end result being salvation. But man is a rebellious creature; it takes more than the written Word to get his attention. God knows how to get man’s attention. Because man, including churchman, has rejected His Word, the Lord is now warning (cursing) him with, among other things, disasterous CLIMATE CHANGE. It is His desire that mankind see the error of his ways, repent, turn and follow Him along His narrow path to His kingdom. The nations have proven themselves incapable of doing this, as have the churches. Only individually can man be saved, and then only if he will allow himself to be CORRECTED by his loving Creator. Through His Word and His curses the Lord is speaking to modern Israel–the “Christian nations” of the Western World. See White Fields. In Ezekiel 5:14-16 we find one of His correctional warnings: “Moreover I will make thee a waste and a reproach among the nations that are round about thee in the sight of all that pass by. So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment unto the nations that are round about thee when I shall execute judgments on thee in (My) anger and in (My) fury and in (My) furious rebukes. I the Lord have spoken (will be speaking) it when I send upon THEM (the descendants of those to whom He was speaking) the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for THEIR destruction which I will send to destroy YOU (those to whom He was speaking). And I will increase the famine upon (all of) you (and your descendants) and will break your staff of bread.” Notice that God was addressing Israel at that time as well as Israel today–the world’s self-described “Christian nations.”
It is imperative that we accept God’s loving correction, repent of our sins and turn to Him in total submission to His expressed will that is found ONLY in His Holy Bible. In order to do this we must leave the heathenistic cults of professing Christendom (Catholicism/Protestantism) where Satan holds sway and learn the way of the Lord directly from His Word. God has established this website for that purpose. However, DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT I WRITE–STUDY GOD’S TRUTH (JN. 17:17) FOR YOURSELF. Ultimately, whether you make the cut upon the return of the Lord is in your “hands”–your heart. Make sure your heart (mind) is filled with the Word of God. But that is not enough. You must then believe it and obey it in order to inherit eternal life at the return of the Lord. See Life After Death. L.J.
