Church Unity: Heaven On Earth Or Hell On Earth?

September 5, 2020 by Larry Jaques Leave a Comment

I recently heard a world-renowned Bible teacher declare with heightened exuberance that the world’s church systems were beginning to “come together” in their “fight for right.”  For those who are part of the world’s church system his words made for a good sound-byte.  After all, togetherness and rightness are always good goals to work toward.  If every Christian on earth worshiped and served the Biblical God by using His concept of “right,” coming together to solidify that right would change the world.  However, anyone who pays attention to the current reality knows that this is not happening.  let us cut through the euphoria and look at what church-wide unity leading to the creation of a global super-church would have on the world.

If 1000 companies made widgets for the entire world, and if all of their widgets were defective, combining them into one company would not improve the quality of the world’s widgets.  The same is true of churches.  As this website has proven beyond doubt, all of the world’s Catholic and Protestant churches have rejected both the God of the Bible and the Bible itself.  This in spite of Christ’s saying that God’s Bible is Truth (Jn. 17:17), and that His people must live by His every Word (Mat. 4:4).  Each group  goes its own religious way and does its own religious thing while calling itself by its own religious name.  Traditionally, these groups had little if anything to do with each other.  This is the method by which Satan has created the two divisions of professing Christendom as well as hundreds of Protestant denominations, each of which is Christian in name only.  Should all of these self-professed “churches” come together and join forces, the effect would become a holding company comprised of nothing but theological error.  This scenario brings to mind what the Lord said about the heathen who were constructing the Tower of Babel: “… the people are one (in mind and location) … and now nothing will be restrained from them which they have imagined to do” (Gen. 11:6).  These were God-rejecting reprobates who shared a common characteristic–sin.  God does not prevent man, even religious man, from doing whatever he wants to do.  The Lord gets involved positively when man wants to do what He has commanded him to do and negatively when man operates in opposition to Him.  When good is unified, He sees to it that good things result, and visa versa.

The individual groups that comprise the world’s church system are evil.  Their coming together into a singular unit is a nightmare.  Unfortunately, as those who believe God’s Word are aware, the end-time church is now doing exactly that.  In the near future all church organizations, along with all other heathen systems, are beginning to talk about coming together as one mega-entity which is prophesied to take place during the final 3 1/2 years of this age.  The result will be disastrous for the world as the Book of Revelation tells us.  All of the world’s religions, including Christianity, will join together under the rulership of the False Prophet of Revelation 13:11-17; 16:13; 19:20; 20:10.  This powerful religious leader will force everyone on earth to worship the Beast–a world-ruling, political, military, multi-national state which will provide the muscle to make the prophet’s dictates the law of the world.  Only God’s Very Elect–His true church–will escape the long arm of the global church.  They will have escaped to “her place,” a “place of safety” (Rev. 12:6,14) which I believe will be a mountainous area called Petra which is located in the nation of Jordan.

But before the gathering of all religions into one organization, there will be a coming together of the world’s churches.  This unlikely phenomenon is happening now.  The push for church unity has been gathering proponents for several decades.  The popularity of Pope Francis has done much to advance the movement.  In the end all churches will join together under one leader–the False Prophet–who will rule all religions which will unite under him and will embrace his religion, which I believe will be Catholicism–the official religion of the European Union, which I believe will be the First Beast headed by the Antichrist.  I believe that the False Prophet will be the reigning Catholic Pope.  For more information read The Ingathering: The Rise of the End-Time Church.  That series can be reached by typing the word INGATHERING in the SEARCH THIS SITE box located above the Ten Commandments on the Introduction page to this website, then click on Enter.  Use this method to find any series on this website.  A list of series titles is available for the asking.  Use the COMMMENT area at the bottom of any posting to request a list.

Another “truth” the above-mentioned Bible teacher voiced was that each church person has the “right of conscience.”  This sounds good, even religious.  Haven’t we all been told: “Let your conscience by your guide.”  Again, this sounds very spiritual.  However, the value of one’s conscience is relative to the “truth” upon which one’s conscience is based–God’s Truth or man’s (read Satan’s) truth.  If one’s truth source is the Bible, then all is well and good.  But as I have shown repeatedly, this is not the case with the Institutional Church whose parishioners embrace only those Biblical passages that confirm their pre-set religious values which come from church doctrine and not God’s Word.  All other Scriptures are at best ignored and at worst rejected.  The accepted passages are then interpreted to mean what the interpreters want them to mean.  The end result is one’s conscience.  I know from personal and ministerial experience that the above statement is true.  Today, when I tell people what God actually says in the Bible they act like I had blasphemed the Holy Spirit.  Some even admit the Truth when they hear it but refuse to leave their false church and embrace the Lord’s Word, and therefore Him and His Son (Lk. 10:16).  God warns them to depart from “that unclean thing,” to “touch it not,” to cleanse themselves of all of its filthiness (false “truth”) and to perfect holiness in the fear of God (2 Cor. 6:14-7:1).  And still they cling to “What I’ve always been taught.”

Lastly,  the Bible teacher declared that, “We must speak God’s view.”  The irony of his words is that if he did he would be fired and his ordination papers would be lifted.  I have been told that each churchite has the right to interpret the Bible any way he/she wants to.  This in spite of God saying through the Apostle Peter that, “No prophecy of Scripture is of any private (personal) interpretation” (2 Pet. 1:20), which results in man’s view of God’s Word–his conscience.  Invariably, man’s view differs from God’s view in that God’s view glorifies Him and man’s view glorifies himself.  Man’s view states what God’s view should be, and would be if He only listened to man.  And because He doesn’t, His view can be ignored, which is why churchman knows so very little about God’s Word.  Bringing all of the churches together with all of the other “isms” found throughout the world will create a religious behemoth that will force the entire world to bow to the Beast of Revelation–the world-ruling government that will be empowered by Satan.  As The Ingathering reveals, world-wide religious unity is now underway.  Please read that series.  L.J.
