Self-professed sanctuary states, cities and churches openly and proudly embrace foreign criminals, shielding them from the nation’s laws while assuring them that all is well within the confines of their protection. In so doing these political and religious entities reward social criminals for breaking the nation’s laws. Question: Where did this attitude originate? Answer: the church.

For hundreds of years Satan’s Catholic/Protestant religious system has been providing the same type of service for its home-grown religious criminals. This two-billion-strong system protects its parishioners by exempting them from having to obey God’s Law–His Word from Genesis to Revelation–the same Law by which Jesus declared all men must live in order to inherit eternal life. Within the confines of professing Christendom the professing believer is guaranteed immunity from God’s Law and from any and all punishment for breaking it. The Godhead (Father and Son) rule their true church by their Word (Law). By disavowing most of that Word (all of the Old Testament and most of the New Testament), the church has rendered the Biblical God and His Son powerless. An excellent example of this attitude was revealed in a recent t.v. advertisement for a local church. I do not remember the exact words used so I will paraphrase the pastor’s statement: “We welcome one and all here at _________. Your moral standing is irrelevant here at ________. We will  not judge you. Like Jesus, we love you and accept  you the way you are. We hope that when you visit us you will come to accept our values, beliefs and doctrines and become part of our church family life.” My question is: What if some adulterating, thieving, lying drug addict joins that church and becomes active participant in it? What if he walks the aisle, performs the prescribed ritual, repeats the religiously correct words, accepts Jesus as his personal savior and is baptized, but then refuses to give up his sins? Will that church put him out? Based on my insider’s knowledge of the modern church, I doubt it. I believe those people would accept him just as he is and how he vows to remain. Then they would find some way to justify their actions. The “saved and born again soul” need only confess and repent of his sins after each incident. After all, “Jesus loves him.” I conclude this because of what that same false prophet said earlier to his huge local and television congregation: “You are nothing more than a society of sinners. So don’t try to be righteous; you’ll just make yourself sick.” That is a direct quote. According to this “minister of righteousness,” God knows that, due to Adam’s miraculous sin infusion into their spiritual DNA, they have no choice but to sin–obedience to him is not an option. Knowing this, Jesus died so that they can sin and get away with it. This globally-embraced Laodicean attitude brings a sharp and deadly response from the Lord which can be found in Revelation 3:14-20. Here His message to Catholicism/Protestantism can be summed up in four words: YOU ARE DECEIVING YOURSELF.

By providing protection from God and His dictatorial Words the modern Laodicean Church system guarantees its parishioners a free, “Come as you are, stay as you are” ride to paradise. The only requirements are to “Show up, pay up, ‘fess up and prepare to go up.” The church’s unspoken mantra is “Sin and grin my church friend, for in the end, you still win. Pie in the sky, sin ’till you die, for in the sweet by and by, you’ll still get to fly.” Having never heard God’s Truth, and refusing to search it out, the whole of professing Christendom is living the devil’s lie. Having entered his wide gate and walking his broad way, some two billion souls are headed for destruction (Mat. 7:13,14). Only those who come out of professing Christendom, turn from their idolatry and embrace the Lord and His Way will be allowed to enter paradise upon His return.  L.J.
