The Jewish Talmud came into being while the tribes of Judah, Benjamin and Levi (the “Jews”) were being held captive in Babylon following their defeat by the world’s first superpower.  Obviously, God considered the Jews to be even more vile than the Babylonians as is evidenced by the fact that the Jews were the losers.  In spite of being warned by God’s prophet for some 50 years, the Jews had gone the way of their Israelite brethren–the way of sin–and had suffered the same outcomes –defeat and enslavement.  As had their brethren before them, the Jews would eventually be scattered throughout the world, and for the same reason–sin–the transgression of God’s Law (1 Jn. 3:4).

While in Babylonian captivity the Jews, having concluded that their defeat and enslavement was the fault of the Lord, decided that there had to be a better way to conduct their lives than to follow His Law.  With that in mind, they gathered together and codified the writings of Jewish priests and wise men who wrote about Jewish traditions concerning the Law, ethics and many other subjects.  They titled their new and improved rules of engagement the “Talmud” and began to use it as their guide to right and wrong instead of God’s Holy Scriptures.

As could have been expected, when Jesus and the apostles came teaching God’s restrictive, my-way-or-else Law they were met with great resistance.  Having read some of the Talmud, I can understand why those interested in self-service, self-gratification and self-direction would resent being reminded of what is written in the Law and the prophets which, Jesus immediately proclaimed, He had not come to destroy, but rather to fulfill (bring to pass) Matthew 5:17.  The Talmud is totally given to self-governance in that it allows “each man to do what is right in his own eyes,” which God condemns.  For example, one passage noted that it is acceptable for a man to have sex with a child, for her wound is like sticking a finger in her eye–it would heal over time and all would be okay.

Jesus and His apostles taught the Law and the writings of the holy prophets (Mat. 5:17).  Doing so cost them their lives.  With the exception of the death sentence, little has changed.  Each of the cults/denominations/faiths, etc. of professing Christendom has produced its own subjective version of the Holy Bible, each geared to its particular interpretation of God’s Word, which is a sin as defined by the Lord (2 Pet. 1;20).  Each version features some man’s “enlightened insight into what God actually meant” based on insightful man’s “new and more in-depth revelation from God.”  All of the new “enlightenments” relative to God’s Truth come from the same source–the heart of Satan.  As Jesus told His arch enemy in Mark 8:33, “You are not interested in the things of God, but in the things of man.”  Satan wants man to have his own way.  Therefore, whatever anyone wants to be “Bible Truths,” Satan has provided a church that is teaching those very “truths.”  And if there isn’t such a church available, he will lead another super enlightened religionist to establish one, call it a church, give it a religious sounding name and, miraculously, a new church is born.  This in spite of the fact that God has only one church: His church, and one name for His church: The Church of God, and one set of rules governing those within His church: the Holy Bible.

Whereas the Jews have only one Talmud, the modern church has hundreds of options from which to choose.  No two of them are alike.  And just as the Jews worship and serve a false god, each denomination worships its own god, its own christ and its own salvation experience, all of which are abominations to the Biblical God in that they, in reality, worship and serve the god of this world (2 Cor. 4:4)  ONLY GOD CAN DETERMINE GOOD AND EVIL.  But like Adam and Eve and the Jews, modern churchites have taken that power unto themselves.

In speaking to the physically enslaved Jews of Babylon, the Lord, through Ezekiel, was also speaking to the spiritually captive modern day church.  The Jews heard Ezekiel’s voice.  Their religious descendants read what he wrote.  Remember that what happened to the Jews and Israelites anciently was recorded as examples for those “upon whom the ends of the world have come”–the modern day (Laodicean–Rev. 3:14-20) church (1 Cor. 10:11).

Ancient Israel was led astray by her false priests and prophets.  The modern church serves Satan by following the teachings of his false prophets to whom he has assigned the task of teaching Catholics and Protestants their respective versions of God’s Word.  In this way church doctrine serves the same purpose as the Jewish Talmud.  This website was created to warn the churches about the “doctrines of devils” being taught by Satan’s “seducing spirits” (I Tim. 4:1) who directly control his false prophets.  The focus of this posting is to expose the work of those spirits in church ministers who do not know from whom they receive their messages.  Some ministers have been shown the truth about the source of their doctrines.  Without fail, they choose to stay Satan’s course.  Money has proven to be a much more powerful influence in their lives than the Word of God.  But they are not alone in their rejection of God’s Word.  When their parishioners are confronted with the same information, they follow in their leaders’ spiritual footsteps, proving that pride is also more powerful than God’s Truth when it comes to the direction of their lives.  Honestly, I stand amazed at the power of Satan over the church, which is TOTAL.

In Ezekiel 22:24-28 the God of the Old Testament (the Word who became Jesus of Nazareth) was warning the prophet that there was a conspiracy going on among the prophets whose goal was to “ravage the people (spiritually) like lions among their prey.”  They had “devoured souls” (killed the spirits of men), had “taken treasure” (money) from the people and caused the premature deaths of men by leading them to sin, thereby leaving “many widows.”  In I Corinthians 11:30 Paul proclaims that God makes people sick and puts some of them to death (“sleep”) for obeying His commands while having sin in their lives.  People have been martyred for supposedly following Christ as they were being led by Satan’s false prophets, preachers, missionaries, etc.  Their deaths were in vain.

The Lord told Ezekiel that the priests profaned him in that they “… made no difference between the holy and the profane.”  They had “… violated my Law and profaned My holy things.”  They had “… made no difference between the clean and the unclean” and had “… rejected My Sabbaths.”  Because they followed the priests, GOD “WAS PROFANED AMONG THE PEOPLE.”  The priests had “… daubed the sinners with untempered mortar (taught them false doctrines which excused their sins), had “… seen (excused) their vanity,” had “… divined lies to them” (predicted the future), saying to them “‘THUS SAYS THE LORD’ WHEN THE LORD HAS NOT SPOKEN.”  In Jeremiah 23, God places the bulk of the blame for the unholiness of the people on the ministry.

By comparing what is written in the Introduction to this website to what is written in the body of the website one can prove to himself Scripturally that those who occupy the pulpits of today’s world are false prophets who do to the people exactly what the prophets of the ancient Jews did to their congregations.  THEY SAY, “THUS SAYS THE LORD” WHEN THE LORD HAS NOT SPOKEN.  They claim they come in His name, but He has not sent them.  There is only one sure way of distinguishing between church doctrine (the church’s various Talmuds) and the Words of God.  That is to follow Isaiah’s prescription as recorded in chapter 28 verses 9-13.  Other Scriptures concerning the study of God’s Word are 2 Timothy 2:15 and I Thessalonians 5:21.  The result of obeying what is written in those Scriptures is recorded in 2 Timothy 3:14-16.  Failure to follow those instructions will result in one being “ever learning but never coming to the knowledge of the Truth” (2 Tim. 3:7).  L.J.
