Christianity’s Duality Syndrome: Two Gods; Two Truths, Two Churches (Pt. 1)

In the secular world truth is as unstable as water and as changeable as the human mind. The same is true within the crowd-pleasing, come-as-you-are-stay-as-you-are Institutional Church. One comes as a confessed sinner then, following “the salvation experience” and “the born again experience” one confesses to being a “sinner saved by grace.” Nothing changes, except what one does for a couple of hours on Sunday morning. Within the modern church, what was condemned in times past has miraculously become “God’s will.” Anyone who disagrees with the current “truth” is automatically labeled a “hater” who has “fallen from grace.” As I have said several times, if your church has not embraced the current morality, it will. Religious man simply does not have the spiritual spine to stand in the face of society’s pressure to conform to its ever-changing moral stance. Concerning the church, I will use a common expression: “She’s anybody’s dog that will hunt her.” The church is like a couch: she bears the imprint of whoever sat on her last.

This ministry highlights the fact that there are two churches within professing Christendom.  One is globally known and accepted, has great political (voting) power, consists of hundreds of different contending, conflicting, Scripture-rejecting bodies and numbers in the billions. The other is unknown globally, has no political power, has one body whose members are all in agreement and numbers only a few thousand. Each church calls itself “the church” and claims to be tasked by God to spread His gospel throughout the world. One is THE only church of God whose members adhere to His Word in all areas of life. The other consists of Satan’s many churches whose members adhere to its particular version of his gospel in all areas of life. One is God’s real church; one is Satan’s counterfeit church. One is of a singular, take-it-or-leave-it nature; the other is of a multi-bodied, any-way-you-want-it in nature. Let us now examine the differences between the two church systems.

The apostles of the early church spoke and wrote directly to God’s people living in their day. Under the direction of His Holy Spirit, they then recorded their words (2 Pet. 1:21/ 2 Tim. 2:15) that would be used to instruct today’s end-time church (Eph. 2:20/1 Cor. 10:11).

Of those whom the Almighty chose to lead His church until Christ’s return, one stands out as His most prolific proclaimer of Truth (God’s Word–Jn. 17:17). That man was the Apostle Paul who spoke and wrote only God’s true gospel. His refusal to compromise with the religious powers of the day eventually cost him his life, as was the case with eleven of the twelve original apostles. On several occasions the apostles met to confirm that they were all preaching the same gospel Truth. They also condemned anyone who tried to divide the church into different groups (1 Cor. 1:10) based on different interpretations of the Lord’s one true gospel.

God forbids any interpretation of His Word (2 Pet. 1:20). The Bible interprets itself for those who will study it in its entirety and with an open heart (Isa. 28:9-13). This was the method Paul and his fellow apostles used to study the Old Testament from which they preached. The New Testament did not exist during their time of ministry and would not come on the scene until all but John had been martyred.

God chose Paul to write most of the New Testament, so it is important that we know how he received his gospel. Because the other apostles had received their gospel directly from Jesus Christ, and because they all had to preach THAT ONE GOSPEL, it was important that Paul also receive his gospel directly from Jesus. He did. As he said in Galatians 1:11,12: “I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not from men. For I neither received it from man, nor as I taught it by men; it came to me THROUGH REVELATION FROM JESUS CHRIST.” Same Christ–same gospel then and now. With this Truth firmly established, let us turn to Ephesians 4:4,5 where we find Paul reminding the New Testament Church that there is one body, one Spirit, one calling, one hope, one faith, one baptism, one Lord and one God. Could God’s “My-way-or-the-highway” mentality be any more clear? Sadly, the modern church rejects this Truth. Today there are two “churches” in operation: God’s tiny, singular body known as the Church of God (not the denomination), and Satan’s enormous, multi-bodied organization known as Catholicism/Protestantism, known Scripturally as the mother whore and her harlot daughters (Rev. 17:1-5). There is a great spiritual gulf separating God and His remnant church from Satan and his one-on-every-street church. But for the trees and houses, I could see three of Satan’s citadels  from my back yard. I can count on two fingers the number of true believers living within a 20 mile radius of Athens, Texas. I am not being presumptuous. God’s people are commanded to come together on His Sabbath (Saturday) to worship Him and hear His Word preached. Only one man, Bill Roberts, meets with me on the Sabbath. I have extensively written in the local newspaper and broadcasted over a local radio station what I teach on this website and on my YouTube site (proveallthingsofgod). Everyone within the readership and listenership of the local news outlets, along with those locals who have access to my internet messages, know who I am, what I preach and how to contact me. As the saying goes, “They stay away in droves.” But I am not discouraged, for this is exactly what God prophesied in Matthew 7:13,14) would happen to those who dared to speak and write His Truth.
