Foreseeing religious man’s future rejection of Him, God commanded those who truly seek Him to do several things in their search for His Truth in His Book of Truth. Among those things are the following: they are to study (the Truth) in order to be approved by Him (2 Tim. 2:15). They are to prove that their spiritual doctrines , beliefs and customs are of Him (1 Thes. 5:21) by studying His Holy Scriptures. They are to search the entire Bible to find all of His Truths concerning a particular doctrine, then combine all of those Truths in order to produce THE Truth (Isa. 28:9-13) about that doctrine. Then, when His Truth (gospel) concerning the doctrine is determined, they must believe it (Mk. 1:15) and obey it (1 Pet. 4:16,17). Doing so eliminates one of churchman’s gods, one of his churches and one of his gospels. Unfortunately, only a minutely few of those who profess the Biblical God follow His commands. For this reason, that which is called “the church” is a double-minded entity which, like a double-minded man is “unstable in all his ways” (Jam. 1:8). Not only does the church have a true and a false body, each body has its own God and its own gospel. The true church believes and obeys the Biblical God. The false church believes and obeys the god of the earth–Satan. Let us begin our study of Christendom’s deadly duality syndrome by examining her two gods.
First, there is the God of the Holy Bible whom both churches refer to in their sermons, songs and writings. This Biblical God tells both bodies exactly what they must believe, do and profess to the world. For example, He commands them to observe His weekly and annual Sabbaths and Holy Days, His teachings relative to salvation, rebirth, righteousness, faith, His kingdom, denominations, etc. This is the God of both churches’ profession. Ironically, though she holds up and displays His Book, one church and her leaders believe and obey the teaching of other god–her god of allegiance Biblically known as Satan–whose words are known as “church doctrine.” In summary, the Institutional Church has two bodies and two gods. They both profess the Biblical God. One body gives lip service to Him while obeying the other god. The other body gives both lip service and obedience to Him.
While one of the churches discussed above numbers in the billions and is globally known and respected, the other church is tiny, little known and rejected by the great false church. The second church differs from the first church in that she not only believes IN the God of the Bible, she BELIEVES the God of the Bible. This church is referred to by God as His “remnant,” His “little flock,” His “Very Elect.” This tiny world-wide group is scattered widely. In some instances her individual congregations consist of only one or two people. Until Bill Roberts “accidentally” came into my life I was the only Christian in the county. Now our church consists of two people. We take heart in the Words of Jesus Who, knowing that not many would accept Him (Mat. 7:13,14), promised that “Where two or three are gathered together in My name, there I am in the midst of you.”
God’s rejected, despised and ignored church has been relegated to the dustbin of church history in that she is not worthy of the title “church.” Her constituents are considered religious reprobates for whom the title “Christian” does not apply. Knowing that one either obeys the God of the Scriptures or the god of the earth, I refer to the two church bodies as “God’s church” and “Satan’s church,” which infuriates many people. But like Christ, I must not allow other people’s attitudes stop me from speaking and writing His Truth. L.J.
