Continuing with the expose’ of Satan’s heathen doctrines by comparing them to God’s Spirit-inspired Word.
SATAN: “Christ will affect a secret rapture in which He will take all Christians back to heaven with Him.” God: Upon Christ’s Second Advent, everyone on earth will see Him appear in the clouds. His enemies will wail as His true saints rise to join Him and His mighty angels. Lightning will flash from east to west; the archangel will shout; a trumpet will sound and the righteous dead will rise from their graves first, followed by those who are alive. Christ and His saints will then descend to the Mount of Olives. From there they will enter into Jerusalem where He will establish the Kingdom of God (Rev. 1:7/ 2 Thes. 1:7/ Mat. 24:27/ 1 Thes. 4:16/ 1 Cor. 15:52/ 1 Thes. 4:16/ Zech. 14:4/ Lk. 11:2 respectively). Several facts are established in these passages. Among them are these: there will be no secret rapture. At the end of the age Jesus will appear in the sky; light will flash across the sky like lightning; an angel will shout; a trumpet will blow. There will be nothing secret about His arrival. No saints will come from heaven with Christ to meet those who rise to meet Him. All dead saints since Abel will still be in the ground upon His arrival. They will be the first to meet Him in the clouds, followed by the living. This will be the first resurrection. Christ and His Very Elect will not ascend to heaven, but will descend to earth where, for the next 1000 years they will rule and reign with Him in the Kingdom of God (Rev. 5:10; 22:5).
SATAN: “The Godhead consists of three divine entities: God, Christ and the Holy Spirit.” GOD: In Luke 1:35 Gabriel the archangel explaines to Mary that the Holy Spirit was “… the power of God” by which He (God) would impregnate her. Gabriel told her that her baby would be the “Son of God.” The Holy Spirit is not Christ’s Father. It is by His (Holy Spirit) power that what He speaks becomes reality: “By the Word of the Lord the heavens were made, and all the host of them by the breath (voice) of His mouth. For He spoke and it (what He said) was done; He commanded and it (the universe) stood fast” (Ps. 33:6,9). God spoke and His Holy Spirit turned His Words into tangible objects. Saints are told to pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ. Nowhere are they told to pray to, or to ask anything of, the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is referred to as both “he” and “it.” God and Christ are never called “it.” In Matthew 26:39 Jesus prayed, “O My Father.” He was praying to “our Father in heaven.” This means that Jesus and true saints have the same Father. This is brought out in John 20:17 where He is telling Mary Magdalene not to touch Him for He had not yet ascended to “My Father and your father, to My God and your God.” Jesus and Mary had the same spiritual Father and God. Neither the saint’s Father nor Christ’s Father is the Holy Spirit. Jesus stated that “… only God is good” (Lk. 18:19). He did not say that only Gods are good. In John 1:1-4,14 only Jesus and one other God are mentioned. In John 10:30 He said “I and the Father are one.” Would not the third God be one with Christ and God? Jesus said to Philip: “If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father” (Jn 14:9). Would not Philip have seen the Holy Spirit also? King David said to God in Psalms 139:7-13 that wherever he (David) went, “You” (God) are there.” He asked God: “Where can I go from Your Spirit?” (vs 7). “You” and “Your Spirit” are not two Gods. God is everywhere at all times through His Spirit. Scriptures tell us that He and Christ are on their thrones in the northern heavens while Their Spirit is everywhere. When it is written: “The Spirit said ….” it is God speaking through His Spirit just as He acts through His Spirit.. The Holy Spirit does not speak, make decisions, act on its own, answer prayers, etc. There is no trinity.
SATAN: “The New Covenant Church is not required to observe the Holy Days.” GOD: The Apostle Paul was the apostle to the Gentiles with whom he established a number of churches. In Colossians 2:16,17 God states through him: “Let no man judge you (church members) relative to what to eat or drink, or how to conduct yourselves on a, or in drink, or in how to observe a Holy Day, or how to count from a new moon, or how to observe the Sabbath days, which are mere shadows of things to come, but the body is of Christ.” Note that he said to let no man judge them concerning the things they did in obedience to the Lord. Note also the word “are” relative to things that were being done by that Gentile church at that time, not to things that “were” done in the past in the Israelite Temple or their synagogues. “Are” denoted current actions. Note also that the word “is” is written in italics, meaning that the word was not in the original manuscript. The statement should read, “… but the body of Christ.” This means that the church (Body of Christ), not a person, must judge relative to the things that were mentioned. If those things were not being practiced by the Gentile church at Colosse, why did Paul mention them? A shadow points to the real thing. Saints are mere shadows of what they will be upon being born again at the return of Christ. That God’s Holy Days are to be observed by the church are proven several times in the Book of Acts. In 12:3 and 20:6,16 Paul refers to the Days of Unleavened Bread, and the Day of Pentecost, which comes 50 days after Passover. In Acts 27:9 he wrote that sailing was dangerous because the Fast had already past. “The Fast” referred to the Day of Atonement. Paul instructed the church as to how to keep the feast of Passover in 1 Corinthians 5:7,8. Why give instructions relative to the Holy Days if they were not being observed? And why did Paul want to be in certain cities on those Holy Days if not to observe them with the churches in those cities?
SATAN: “Church people are born again when they accept Christ as their Savior.” GOD: Jesus Christ was the first man to be born again. This happened when He changed from physical bodily composition to spiritual bodily composition upon being resurrected from the dead. He had to be born again because, “Flesh and blood cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven” where He was going. The man Jesus, as well as all those who will join Him in the earthly Kingdom of God, must become “like the wind” which cannot be seen ( Jn. 3:1-8). Like all other humans, Jesus was “created in the image of the earthly (of flesh)” (1 Cor. 15:49). Fleshly man cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven where God resides. The man Jesus had to return to spirit form in order to enter His presence because “God is a spirit” (Jn 4:24). Likewise, mortal man must become a spirit in order to enter the presence of God. For this reason God’s saints “will be changed in the twinkling of an eye” (1 Cor. 15:52). The saint’s change in bodily composition so as to be like Christ’s born again body is described in Philippians 3:21. Man’s born again body, as 1 John 3:2 tells us, will be like Christ’s glorious body for, “… when He appears we will be like Him, for we will see Him (His body) as He is.” Saints will look like what they see–Jesus Christ. Like Him they will be able to change from invisible to visible at will. Revelation 1:13-16 describes Christ’s born again body: He has hair like wool, eyes like flames of fire and feet like burnished brass. His countenance is like the sun in its full strength.” That, dear reader, is what saints will look like when they have been born again and choose to become visible.
These have been a few of the heathen (Satanic) beliefs and practices of the Institutional Church which were borrowed from Babylonian heathenism. This two-headed, Satan-empowered, man-directed religious entity is a counterfeit version of God’s true church, known Scripturally as the Church of God (not to be confused with the false church known by that name). God’s true church is also known as “the Israel of God” (Gal. 6:16) because those within her have become spiritual Israelites by obeying His commandments.
If you are involved in what is commonly called “the church,” you must leave immediately. In Second Corinthians 6:14-18 the Apostle Paul explains that believers must have no spiritual connection to unbelievers, for what fellowship does righteousness have with unrighteousness? and what connection does Christ have with Satan? and what communion does light have with darkness?, and what do true saints have to do with infidels? and what agreement does God’s temple (the saint) have with idols? “For you (true saints) are the temple of the living God.” As God said about His Very Elect who have separated themselves from Satan’s church, “I will dwell in them and walk in them and I will be their God and they will be My people.” When? when they have obeyed His command to: “… come out from among them (infidels) and be separated from them. Do not touch that unclean thing. Then I will receive you. And I will be a Father to you and you will be my child” What is to be the outcome of this separation from Satan’s Catholic/Protestant Church System? “Having these precious promises (6:17,18), dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves of all filthiness of the flesh and spirit (found in the false church) by perfecting (personal) holiness in the fear of God” (found in God’s church). One can receive God’s promises, including eternal life, only by walking in righteousness (Rom. 5:21) and holiness (Rom. 6:22). There is no alternative. Contrary to so-called grace-saved sinners, we are either all in or all out relative to our walk with the Lord. There will be no sinners saved by grace in the Kingdom of God. In this life we either walk with Him in righteousness and holiness or with Satan in unrighteousness and unholiness. The choice is ours. L.J.
